Upmarket restaurant with a dress code. Great service and tasty menu at a price.We were the only guests when we arrived unknowing of the dresscode. My husband wore shorts and we were both wearing tshirts. It could be our ignorance for not checking the standards but we were the only guests, of course it would be bad business to turn us away. Albeit we were hidden away from all roving eyes. The good thing about being furthest away from everyone else is that we were not bothered by smoke, ashtrays are on every table.Great quality food with a pricetag to boot. As nondrinkers we were surprised to be given a bill for the equivalent of $75 USD. Cant complain the service was excellent and the food was great. They charged us a cover charge, service charge of 12% and a VAT of 14%. It all adds up. As service charge is included we didnt tip. Is this normal?

Very good restaurant in Zamalek, I have been there twice and each time the food was really yummy, not only the food, the atmosphere, excellent services, very friendly staff and unique location. If you are looking for classy place for a meal, then this is the right place.I am for sure going back to this place if I ever visit Cairo again.

The food quality was terrible, also the menu items are very scarce the vegan and vegetarian options. Shrimps are frozen and cooked poorly. However, the staff and the service were super good.

I didn’t like this restaurant at all. It’s a waste of time and money. For what you get the food is pricey and standard. The place itself was completely empty when I had lunch, lacking of character and atmosphere. The Salad I ordered was nearly sunken in a thick sauce, and the “home made” pasta half-cooked. It was pleasant, the place is classy with a nice view, the food is really good yet pricey. We were there quite early so it was really calm. We ordered salmon and the croquettes mentioned on the menu didnt come. After asking for them we learnt that they were actually not available, so we asked for something else instead. After we finished food we got some fries that were not very nice. If not for this very unnecessary event it would have been a perfect experience.

U-bistro is fine dinning place which means portions are smaller in size ( but tasty) you will need reservation to get in. Menu is mostly about meat cuts, sea food and some pasta. Place serves alcohol but cocktails are skinny ...

I really liked the place and the atmosphere, everything was good except 2 parts:1- The costly service (You will be charged for more than what you order due to high vat and high service charge)The first point didnt bother me much as i expected to pay when going to a fancy place and the place was really fancy2- Which is the point that made me give 4 stars instead of 5 is because the waiters were standing there staring at us which made me and my friends really uncomfortable, if they take care of that everything else will be perfect!Overall, had a good time.

Excellent and very friendly service, great food, but if youre going for a nice quiet dinner, make sure you leave before 9pm as the music gets louder and louder catering to the bar scene. Mid to high prices. Portions could be more for price, but not too bad.

Im giving this place a 3 instead of a 4 for a bunch of reasons. A place with this prestige and fame should be an automatic 5 but its far from it. 1st portions were so small and prices so hight that I at least expected amazing tastes, however they were only good or okay at best. 2nd I ordered the Tiger shrimps which I expected to be only 3 shrimps, they were actually 4 but they werent tiger shrimps some other much smaller type. 3rd they get a 3 and not lower only because their service was good, polite, quick, and the place was very clean. 4th they had bread and butter plates and knives there but they forgot to serve us the bread and butter when there were only 5 tables busy.

It is a bit hidden, you must enter the building and climb stairs to the 1st floor, but the interior is very good looking, the interior decoration style makes one to be relaxing and comfortable; food is really good, drinks are very good too; nevertheless, I found it expensive. Recommendable.

My wife & I went to the restaurant to celebrate an occasion 2 weeks ago, the place, the atmosphere and the service were great. We ordered sea food soup, Ceasor salad, veal and rack of lamb, of course as usual we shared each other dish and we went home to Sleep. We both wake up in the morning with very bad diarrhea, pain in the stomach and fever, I called my doctor to come over and we were told that there was a germ in the food we ate. We suffered for 4 days straight.This is a hygiene issue , it could happen any where but it could been avoided if they do wash food the right way but most likely it was the veal. What buzzard me The most when I called up the manager to let him know of the incedent to avoid any wrong doing in their process and I was not looking for any compensation but I was not happy with the answer just denied any wrong doing

This place was recommended by my hotel . They made phone call for arrangement and reservation arrangement. I am very calm civilized person , unfortunately that place did not accept me to enter the bar. They said for couple only, at the same time many single men passed the entrance greeted to get in. Host said they have own table inside. Not only that they give me impression that I am not good enough to get in . I called the bar they said sorry for couples only. As liberal saudis we were criticizing genders segregation for sake of civilization, freedom and imply stronger society values. If you are Egyptian and do not have table in side that place avoid complications going out hitting that bar .After being away from for 20 years, I expected different behavior for entertainment society and so ever . Word for the U bistro & bar owner , if you creating private club you know what to do. You apply bad business concept.I am Speciliazed person in food and beverage and hospitality business , I am sure you applied wrong business style not as civilized world hospitality standards.
