Food was delicious ... view was amazing ... having a band was a really great touchThe service was good .But the waiters and the staff attitude towards each other was not the best with each other ... y should i hear a bad word or even a fight between staff when i am at that relaxing mood !!Even my biĺl was over 1k and it was really a pitty that i was about to leave tip and no one is available to take .. and its a shame to not solve the staff issue at a place far away from cst .

My wife and I enjoyed a most pleasant dinner at Kebabgy. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. We are both vegetarians and there were plenty of options for us. The portions are very generous and a couple of mezze are more than enough for a meal. The view and atmosphere are unbeatable.Many reviews mention the prices, and while on the high side, this is a five star hotel restaurant with a ten star setting. The prices are commensurate and by no means outrageous. All in all, you get your moneys worth and more.

The experience at Kebabgy was one I won’t forget for all of the right reasons: 1) incredibly good food, 2) beautiful live music, 3) a breathtaking setting on the Nile, 4) attentive wait staff, 5) and the beautiful, friendly hostess, Alaa! It was a great experience. I highly recommend it.

Can’t recommend Kebabgy enough! The most magnificent views of the Nile, impeccable service and wonderful food. We were able to eat breakfast and dinner here and loved both meals. The service was exceptional, every person took wonderful care of us! Our waiter at dinner, Moustafa, recommended the beef tajine for dinner and it was one of our favorite dishes we have had in Egypt.

Delicious! One of the most fun meals Ive had while traveling. You cant beat the setting along the Nile and the food is delicious. Way too much to eat, we split a mixed grill and did fine.

The view, the view, the view! Definitely this place has one of the best Nile views. I visited during night it was amazing, I believe during day will be even more, cannot wait. We ordered shish tawook and it was super delicious. The only drawback is that their salad was so small that it wasnt a salad at all but more of an appetizer and Im so much of a salad person. The personal is friendly and professional. Happy that discovered this place.

Everything about this restaurant is perfect. The tasty lunch with the amazing Nile view. The staff was so friendly and helpful especially Aya with her cheerful smile & positive spirit. Mr.Moataz was so kind and hospitable. Mohamed and Mahmoud helped us in celebrating our Moms birthday and the day turned to be an unforgettable memory for us. I highly recommend the restaurant for a quick escape from the daily routine to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Nile with a very hospitable staff.

Two different groups of Egyptian friends took me here on my visit to Cairo and both were great experiences. The views are incredible (my night visit was beautiful, but I think I enjoyed my day visit more - at least in March!), the food is amazing and plentiful (between the 2 visits and sharing with others I think I tried every grilled meat available), the service was prompt and helpful. At night there was a band playing. It got just a touch loud only because we were sitting so close.

Poor service, really slow, nothing special regarding the food tastes, the soup was terrible. As for the renowned nile view, the five star hotel did no effort in keeping up its famous view, the nile was covered in.reeds and the place was full of mosquitoes and moth.

Had very bad experience. Very slow service and not expected to be from 5 star hotel restaurant. i asked for every item, i ordered more than 4 times from different people!, especially water on such humid day we were there! Also, no one picked up the empty plates unless i asked for, so cleanliness level is ZERO.Definitely not gonna recommend the place to anyone whether tourist or Egyptian.

Over rated restaurant the food below normal , you will have to wait at least 15 for every single order even if you ask for a tissue.

I love this restaurant absolutely; the bread is hand made and baked in stone oven in the place which makes it wonderful for the taste is very good. The food is very good, definitively it is one of the best options in Cairo; you can have a beers or other good drinks and it is also possible to have meals outdoors just next to the Nile river allowing you to enjoy an excellent dinner while beholding a beautiful view of the great Nile. Absolutely recommendable.

Wanted to eat something at 5pm. And asked the waiter if we could sit on the terrace in the sun. The waiter said, it is not possible and gave us a table just next to the terrace completely covered by the smoke of the shishas. We asked again, I can not stand smoke and the chef of the waiters, a fat lady, told us we could not, she was really rude, and we left the place... What bad service, no customer friendliness.We tried again yesterday... because we like the view there, and the place. But the Lady that does the reservations, is such a difficult person. We called yesterday, to make a reservation. We liked to have one of the round tables. we dont have round tables she said... I dont get it, why she started with lying. Because, theres plenty of round tables, and there will always be... The she came with other things... you must order 700Le per person... this is legally forbidden in egypt, since two years... and then she invented more problems... Hence, in the end, we had such a bad experience, we didnt go. Although we used to go there weekly in the past, this waiter is truly repulsive.

Hi every oneThis is just my comment of my experience of my dinner to kabangy I really have an excellent food and service I am very delighted. I recommended to. I have met with shima gust services she is very well known orinted and very nice professional.

This restaurant was one of the best on the Nile 25 years ago .. I decided to take my family today and revive old memories .. I was shocked of few things .. the view is not all beautiful .. there is garbage in the nile right in front of the tables .. the food was not good as well .. limited variety of grilled plates .. the chicken was very good but the only option if you don’t eat lamb 😔 the rest of the menu is terrible .. the khalta rice was not good, the sausage was awful, extremely expensive and average service .. it was much better years ago 😔

Quality of lamb meat is so bad and smelly. The entertainment band was off tune, not to the standard of a 5 star hotel. Parking rates are 50 EGP per hour. Overpriced for the quality, just for the great view.

Located in the Sofitel hotel in Cairo, this oriental restaurant has a great outdoor area that lies on the banks of the Nile river. Very relaxing atmosphere with a band playing infamous Arabic tunes on the oud. The food is great and the fresh bread is to die for!

Great restaurant that specializes in middle eastern mixed grills (kabab/tikka/etc...). Their presentation is great and quality of food is on point. Their bread is fresh baked by charming egyptian woman in front of a clay kiln and by god its delicious. They have great hookahs as well with seating that overlooks the nile. Unfortunately their portion of the nile is filled with garbage and filth which really detracts from the whole view. Still a great go to spot if youre feeling like grilled meats.

This place is not what it used to be. The mixed grill we ordered was nothing to write home about and the salads were not very impressive. It is an expensive place but the food is certainly not worth it.
