The hotel is old.Rooms are small but okay.Water takes too long to get heated.Windows are not noise isolator.Breakfast seat is set menu (check pictures) right by the water and the Stanley Bridge.Value for money is definitely not recommended as better options are out there for similar price tag 80$ per night for double plus breakfast.

Do not stay at this hotel. The hotel management has absolutely no idea what good customer service means. Here are a few examples.1. I asked for a quiet room before we checked in. But we were given a room near the staff room and someone was rattling around round the clock. The staff is walking down the hall, slamming the door, talking, and watching videos on the phone. And all this at NIGHT. Some stuff guy told me cant do anything, if you dont like it - change the room. Manager at the reception to all my complaints promised to fix it, but did nothing.2. There was no hot water. Just after few complaints they fixed it, but still, water was barely warm.3.Rooms look older than on the pictures.4.In the bathroom constantly accumulates water on the floor and does not come out through the hole.5.Very slow internet.

We had an absolutely amazing late night meal! They have a cafe that sits on the water. You can drink, eat and have shisha. The service is amazing and everyone is very friendly! One of our favorite places hands down!

Nice place with great views and tasty food..the place is very nice for an elegant dinner or a coffee in the sunset...parking is kind of a problem and if its packed you will have to find your own parking

Breakfast buffet was good with enough variety for a short stay. We had a room with a view of the beach. The area is safe and we didnt have any issues walking around at night. Friendly staff.Comfortable stay but a little noisy (not sure if theres a place in Egypt thats not noisy). Decor was a little outdated.

A historic place with an amazing location on the red sea

It is so clear the hotel is not in good hands, it is really underserved if you consider that it is almost the best location in Alexandria; in the middle of the sea, right in front of Stanley bridge, and lots of restaurants and places for outings are all around. Rooms are very small, bathrooms are disastrous; to be able to sit on the toilet freely you shouldnt exceed 170 cm tall. The restaurant is good, yet surprisingly the cafe is very low scale meanwhile it is overlooking the sea and Stanley bridge!The best was the hospitality of the night shift. Breakfast was okay.This hotel needs a good investor to understand its value and potential.

We rented the venue out for an engagement and had a great time. There were about 100 guests so it was a bit too crowded and also very hot which is the reason for only 4 stars. Normally the restaurant, food, and service are excellent

Good: Hotel service is great, stuff is very helpful. A great sea view for all rooms.Bad: rooms facilities need upgrading. For example the a/c wasnt working. Also tv system needs a lot of adjusting to prevent signal interference with other rooms.

One of the best restaurants in Alexandria. Still keeping the old allure. Very good food. Excellent service. The ambiance is enchanting. They have live classic music and a singer who sings old melodies. Some furniture pieces are original Id the 50s and the 40s.

Great location at Stanley bridge, there are cafes, restaurants and transportations near the place. Rooms are very clean and tidy, i got a one with sea view. Staff are friendly and very helpful (what i like the most). The breakfast is good enough with many varieties. Wifi was very slow during my stay..Overall the place was perfect for my business trip

This hotel seems nice on the surface. Nice room, clean, and the guys at the door are good. The desk staff was not matched to the rest of the place. My wife and i stayed for two nights. Our friend made the reservation and Wwe asked for a room with 2 beds because there would be 3 of us there the first night. They assured us there would be 2 beds. As it turned out, the 2nd bed was a couch and they still insisted on charging us for an extra person. Our friend did not stay the 2nd night and my wife and i stayed. They charged us for an extra person and refused to remove the charge when we brought it to their attention. We paid the entire hotel bill when we left and I was just contacted by our friend and she told us that she was charged as well. I really feel like they were trying to take advantage of us and increase their take on the room. Very disappointing hospitality.

The Suite has a fascinating see view, you can see stanly bridge from your windows. It is a little bit crowded with no space between beds. It was clean and tidy with a free electric kettle and 2 TVs. However, the bathroom was not clean and needs maintainance (broken cloth hanger and floor cracks).Overall, it is very expensive compared to other hotels in the same district.PS; The night shift receptionist is impolite and needs to be trained on how to speak with guests in a respectful manner.

Amazing food...excellent ambience

My review is for the restaurant as I haven’t used the hotel facilities or rooms. The restaurant is very average nothing special although all this talks about the place of elite. Food is overpriced with average taste as well. Piano is fine but didn’t enjoy the singer. Service was mediocre nothing special as well. Would not recommend.

Avoid any room on overlooking the street. Super noisy havent experienced noise like this before anywhere. I stayed 1 night and couldnt sleep. But hotel overall all is cute and great location. Rooms are ok if staying for 1 to 2 nights.

Actually it was a very nice suggestion to visit and stay in San Giovanni Hotel, i am astonished how i dot do before. My wife agree that it will be our first choice in the future ISA. Nice place, great view, food is not the best but its good, good service, friendly staff

I stayed at this hotel last month and the air conditioner didnt work properly in my room.I complained many times but the hotel had nothing to do except for providing a fan!Now after more than a month, I came back to the hotel to find the same issue in another room and even in La Sirene café.I didnt waste my time in complaining this time because it is just a one night stay, I directly requested a fan, which came after 3 hours!This time the room was even worse.I found a big cockroach in my room and the towels were dirty!The only good thing about this hotel is the food, and the cheap price compared to other hotels in this area!

A ritual that has to be done whenever am in Alexandria Egypt. Good food nice drinks and and amazing view directly on the Mediterranean coast. Staff are friendly and they remember me even though i visit once or twice a year.

It is a historic place..small number of rooms..overlook the sea..with a good view, a good restaurant and and a beautiful cafe shop by the sea.. the dinner in the restaurant was amazing while listening to the foreign songs.. thanks for the stuff specially Mr.Ahmed ; the receptionist who was very helpful and so polite.

I love the restaurant thats by the sea. Theyre a bit slow but the food is alwqys incredible. Good wine & a variety of nice salads for vegetarians.

Nice place to stay.. Good service.. Breakfast good enough.. Clean rooms however some issues with the rooms like safebox was not working also one of the phones and one of tv remote... Room 305 which i stayed they call it suite as its has living room and dining table but the room was not very big.... The view of Stanly Bridge was very nice... Service on reception was good as well room cleaner (farah) also waiters (Aya).... Overall i liked it.

Awesome food , scenic view of Stanleys bridge. One of the best restaurants to go to in Alexandria. Had a very good time there , we were a group went for a desert ,oum ali , tramsui was delicious. Highly recommend, a bit pricey but worth it .

Food court is always crowded . Hard to find a place for a family . You have to wait till somebody finishes to start collecting chairs. All famous fast food lables are there with some goid local and syrian food shops with good quality and price.

Hotel is excellent in welcoming and service yet though my room seemed very nice and neat , the floor needed much cleaning, very sorry to have to say that.

We made a reservation and arrived on time, yet we were given a table with no sea view. The manager claimed all tables are reserved and refused to give us the desired table.

My experience in this restaurant is the worst ever they refused to provide me a table because of my clothes style I was wearing classic shorts me and my wife wasnt expecting that kind of treatment from them they refused to give me any proof or showing me their rules Im strongly not recommend this hotel or restaurant.
