0/5. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had in my life. This place ruined our vacation.No wifi. We were unable to work from our roomDirty and smells like an ashtray. Staff are liars and tried to scam me and were disrespectful. Bed is awful - small and hard as a rock. Don’t expect to get any sleep between the horrible mattress and the honking cars.I wanted to cancel my stay within an hour of arriving but they refused to give a refund. I felt intimidated the entire time.It is clear to me they are writing fake reviews here and elsewhere. This place is definitely not 4 stars whatsoever. These people are untrustworthy.

Pros: Very Nice Hotel in Alexandria with adorable view on the Mediterranean Sea located in san stefano district. The staff is professional, friendly and supportive as the check-in was completed as soon as we arrived, even two hours earlier than the original time. The breakfast was very good with many varieties of drinks and food also the dining area was clean. The room and bathroom was clean with amazing view on the sea. Overall rating is 08/10.Cons: Some of the bathroom fasilites was old. The hotel doesnt allow delivery service to the rooms. Bed mattresses are very hard, uncomfortable and need to be changed. Otherwise cant complain. All was perfect.

When we first entered the staff were very welcoming and kind, they welcomed us and showed us the room. We wanted another room so they moved us from the 3rd floor to the 7th floor, but the rooms were exactly the same excluding the view. The bathroom was surprisingly small and there wasnt room for me to take a step in the shower. The extra beds we got were small and i woke up many times at night because of the honking, the window was old and we kept hearing noises and smelling cigarettes. The man at the breakfast alley refused that i enter without my parents and refused to talk to my mother on the phone, it was very displeasing that i cant eat breakfast without an adult. But at the end he was very kind like all of the staff. The breakfast didnt have many options and it was okay. Regarding the internet nobody informed us about how to connect so we had to use our own mobile data. Other than that the rooms were clean and tidy. The special thing about this hotel is that its very close to the sea, having breakfast next to the sea was very relaxing.

Can you believe… that I went out to grab some food (because I’m diabetic and need specific food) and the reception stops me and says to me with all disrespect “you cannot bring outside food”My question is here, where in the world, did any hotel ever, in history block any guest from potentially bringing their own food/nutritionThis is honestly very regressing and hope this gets corrected.

Terrible experience at the hotel!!!Just checked out after a useless one to one meeting with the manager who gave me promises and sweet talk that next time the hotel will improve the extremely poor quality of the mattresses and pillows that are extremely uncomfortable, which he seemed surprisingly to agree to!!!! There is no air condition in the room! The manager also explained the air conditioner is turned off because its winter now and its getting colder so they decided on behalf of the guests that air condition will not be needed! I tried to explain to him that this is failure to accommodate but he didnt seem to understand! No reimbursement, no gesture, all I was offered was a cup of tea and sweet talk that I clearly mentioned will not satisfy me and I also mentioned I will write a terrible review as soon as I get out of the door and the manager seemed to Not care about the bad review he was about to get and kept promising but next time it will be better! Extremely disappointing management, customer handling, accommodation! Highly not recommend!

Loud air-conditioning, loud bath fan, hard bed mattress, parking wih extra fees, and water and bath pumping are bad.Even though the view from room is marvelous, room is clean, breakfast and dining is good and service is good.

I will not go too much in detail, just this hotels good days has past. Like everywhere in Egypt, they dont maintain the building, I faced smells, humidity, aged and scratched furniture. Theese words are to the owner of the hotel: Go and kiss the hands of your employees, espacially the hotel manager.Otherwise I would have left here pictures and detailed description, which would have damaged your hotel reputation badly.Maintain your building, especially the humidity problem.2 Stars instead 1, because of the excellent staff!

I spent one night there. The sea view is amazing, rooms good decorated and have the essential components like small balcony, AC, refrigerator, minibar, cupboard, good small W.C. and wifi connection. I like the restaurant sea view and the food was not bad.What i didn’t like there is the slow internet and only two devices for each double bed room were allowed to connect the wifi.

It seems that this hotel does not have any isolation.When the night, you can hear everything on the road. I feel like laying on the road.When I wanna just take another room and sleep a while, the hotel staff told me I need to take all my stuff to the new room.When I go to the new room, its even not better isolated.I was staying all the night sleepless.Horrible experience.I give 2 stars, one for the sea view (not too bad). One for the kind and polite staff (but not quite flexible and dont speak enough English).

I had an overall wonderful experience staying at the Plaza Hotel. Warmest greetings upon arrival from friendly and helpful staff, especially Mr. Ahmed Nagy at the front desk. Check in process did not take minutes, the room was clean and tidy and the view of the sea was magnificent. The hotel is close to the famous san stefano mall. Highly recommended for short business stays.

The front desk has been incredibly nice and helpful and was very helpful in advice on what to do in the city. Parking is adequate. Hotel was very clean as well as the room. The breakfast was better than what I expected.Though we didnt spend too much time in the hotel, other than sleeping but it left a great impression on us! Our sheets, towels and surfaces of desk, counter and bathroom were all regularly cleaned during our stay.

Rooms are clean, Great view, Delicious breakfast, overall very pleasant experience.

It’s location is superb.It has many bad things as:1. The bathroom always have very bad smell.2. No heated water although we are in winter.3. The catering in the room is too poor that I didn’t find water bottles in my room and i had to ask for it, also only 2 tea bags 2 nescafe for whole 2 person/night.4. When I asked for slippers, I found that the slippers they brought me were torn down!!5. The breakfast buffet had very limited choices and many things tasted bad as if they were old not fresh.

Clean, nice rooms, staff and services are good. The location however is a bit far from the center, although connected with the tram. We had a sea view room but the balcony was so narrow that we couldnt really enjoy the view. The hotel is next to a busy highway and there are no sound proofing of doors so for some people that might be a problem in the night as the city traffic is going on until late hours.

Some rooms have the most sad view of all, to be on the sea but seeing it as a faraway window!The staff is very professional and polite... the rooms are a bit small and the internet is wacky!The breakfast is OK just OK not great... and that in comparison with its sister hotel Grand Plaza has very good food.

Beds are not comfortable and low on the ground , wifi is terrible, seat on toilet seems like it will break , setting doesn’t look nice , when we came in there was not enough sugar or coffee, hallway smells bad, breakfast isn’t that amazing, not enough tables in the room to place luggage and ac wasn’t effective.

Hotel is clean, service is very promote. Location is great. Rooms are decent size and bathroom clean which is very important. Buffet could be a bit better and wished there was a gym to use. Jigh recommend.

Positive : staff are very friendly and have tried to accommodate to our needs. The location is great. Easily walk to the four seasons for brunch or other restaurants they have and a mall is just behind that. It has a grocery store for snacks while youre touring Alexandria. Ubers easily find the place as well. The hotel is clean.Negatives : the housekeeping manager has tried his best to help us but the beds are incredibly hard. The mattresses feel like slightly softened stone. My mother has back ache each morning. The staff upgraded us to a family size room which was lovely but the beds are still rock hard. They tried to add some quilts for more cushioning but it didnt make a difference. For the price - about $98 US a night ... Its not worth it. The food in the restaurant and for room service has also been hit and miss , some served hot some served cold. French fries have been cold each time. Minestrone soup was the highlight. The breakfast buffet is ... Terrible. The food is mediocre at best, the pastries are stale and just lack of flavour all around. Thus, we went to the Four Seasons for their breakfast instead. McDonalds is down the road in the mall for better breakfast as well.

Visited the place in October 2018. Rooms clean and comfortable. Sea view room was superb. Buffet breakfast was so modest . Items finish and no quick re-fill. Staff couldnt handle over crowded place as it was fully booked during a weekend. Reception wanted to check me in at 4 pm. Made a fuss and was checked in at 2 as tge normal rules. Hope things could be fixed.

Good for a short stay to get your work done· Clean room of adequate size and an astonishing view of the mediterranean. Location near The four seasons is great for any work or exam that might be scheduled there.· The building and windows from the outside sorely need a cleaning. It stops you from enjoying the view 100%. The breakfast wasn’t all that great either.No kettle for tea in the room.

Its a 4 mins walk to the parking garage not a big deal but if its mid winter and its windy as **** you will feel it.Otherwise you can enjoy your stay the surrounding area is beautiful, seaview is beautiful and the staff is very helpful.The rooms need to be updated the water drain didnt work in the first room they changed the room for me.

Staying at the Plaza was a great experience. There was a bit of a communication problem though since the staff really struggle with English. If you stay on the half board or full board options you get a separate (fixed) menu for dinner, so ask for it because nobody will tell you. Breakfast is buffet style, served from 7am to 10am or so, offering a good selection. Location is superb next to San Stefano. If you get a sea view room with a balcony you get great views of the beach. There is a 10 lane road (5 each direction) right in front of the hotel so there is constant traffic noise and honking at all hours with heavy traffic. Despite this, the rooms are relatively isolated from the noise. The only English TV channel was CNN but there are many Arabic channels. Wifi worked well and was included. Bathrooms alwere small but functional. Overall a very good deal for the location and value. There is a cocktail lounge next to the lobby, and the Brasserie restaurant on the first floor up where breakfast is served. Online booking did not work for me, so I had to fill in a credit card form and email it.

I would have given the place 4 stars years ago but the change of staff made me feel I am out of place.The breakfast choices are not many, the only thing I can like is the view when you get a full sea view room.

The room was not clean. We had to ask for it to be cleaned several times. The view is good though and nice staff. No parking in the hotel we had to park in a near private parking.

Wonderful stay .. Would be my favorite hotel whenever I am in Alex.For rate around 70$ its unbelievable hotel. Stayed for one night then extending two more nights with my family.One of best views in Alex. Very next to the famous and expensive Four Seasons .. Room very clean even with small space its practical.Night club is there with limited space, yet causy atmosphere. Staff are one of the best. They hotel provides a parking off-site but well-organized.

The room was pleasant and clean. The breakfast was full of varieties of fresh food. The staff members were very helpful and decent. The hotel is very near to San Stefano mall and many street cafes.

There is a porter called Ahmed Nagi he is excellent and very helpful. Hotel needs maintenance and house keeping team needs training. Parking is available in a near by building but not really convenient.

Plaza had everything one needs, it is centrally located [at San Stefano], rooms are clean, fairly sized and most are sea view since the hotel sits directly on the Cornish.Service is pleasant, breakfast is very basic but its OK.This is not a luxury hotel, but will certainly do the job if youre on a short hop in Alexandria.

The room’s AC’s are too loud. The ventilator in the bathroom is very noisy as well. The breakfast lacked variety and taste. No warm water in the shower. All this in a 4 star hotel which is too pricy.

Worst hotel ever ..poor rooms poor service everything was totally unacceptable..first of all the beds are super small and Im not that tall Im 178 cm, when we asked for water they said we only give 2 bottels each room for the stay... cheap attitude...rooms we were in was almost 2300 a night and did not include breakfast...and because I had no idea I walked in the buffet before they call me and I honestly think thats the worst looking buffet I have seen in my life

I have so bad experience with plaza ... very hot rooms .. no soap in bathrooms... good breakfast but not a 4 star breakfast and not a 4 star services ...no boiler for hot water in rooms ... u have to call the room service to ask for a cup of tea

For nice short stay in Alexandria this was a great, convenient hotel to stay at - just in the middle of the corniche (great view) & very close to San Stefano Mall. I do recommend to book in advance. The amenities were clean. In saying that the Staff were very friendly & helpful & I would recommend this hotel.

I was at same hotel last year which was niceBut this year something strange done which was very strange... they asked me to pay the three night which I was intending to stay in advance which I refused... they told me I have to pay at least one night and told if I wouldnt pay for the other nights they will off the light in my room... In the second day I tried to open the door of the room.. the key wouldnt open because I have to pay... that thing I have never seen at any hotel all over the worldFor example I am at beau site hotel at Matrooh since 3 days they never ask me for a single penny till now and I am going to stay for 1 week and payment at cheque outThat was a very very bad thing

Amazing view, great location right next to San Stefano Mall. Only drawback is that the Corniche below is VERY noisy and the rooms windows are not suffiently sound proof.....so bring ear plugs.
