Very efficient service

A slightly more expensive base compared to the many other diving centers in the area. The guides are funny and know the reefs very well. The reefs in the region are also in great condition.Three stars: Unfortunately, I was unable to spontaneously do a mini bus trip planned the previous evening the following day and then had to dive on the house reef (I really didnt want to do that under any circumstances). The employee showed great sales talent by telling me at 4.30pm that more people would sign up for the trip. The next morning, however, came the sobering announcement that there would have been no staff for the mini bus trip anyway, as there is currently a lot to do. Next time please give a realistic forecast to the diving customers and do not make a sales call so that the limited time available on your vacation can be used optimally.

In 2015 we were at the ED PORT GHALIB for the first time, even then everything was fine from A-Z. Unfortunately, the trip was canceled last year due to the pandemic, but the team still provided great support in the form of SSI Specialty courses. Absolutely nice conversation and just an all-round carefree package. I can absolutely recommend the ED in Port Ghalib.

We are very glad that we accidentally dropped in. This was our first dive and we are glad to be in the experienced and caring hands. They went to a meeting and did a learning dive along with the usual one on the Abu Dabab beach. It was an unreal experience! Its a pleasure to work with experienced and organized people.

I recently completed an online course at Extra Divers Ghalib. I have to say, I am thrilled !!!I was very well looked after from start to finish. I escaped the cold and the Corona stress for 2 weeks and had a wonderful, relaxed vacation. The hygiene measures here were adhered to better than at home, so I can only recommend all holidays in Port Ghalib. The diving center is well organized, the premises and the equipment in perfect, clean condition. Nowhere else have I seen it so well.Frank, the base manager, has not lost the pleasure of diving himself and shares his vast knowledge in an understandable and exciting way. The dives with him were a pleasure.His team is friendly, well trained and helpful.Im already looking forward to my next vacation and the dives with Extra Divers Port Ghalib.

We are just one day back (December 2019) and are already missing the Egyptian sun and the friendly Extra Divers crew. The German-run base is neat and clean, so we had a good feeling straight away. Different tours with your own boat or minibus are offered every day. These are up to an hour away. The experienced dive guides are almost exclusively Egyptian and the briefings are usually in English, some speak a little German. The entire crew is extremely helpful in handling the equipment and they always have a smile on their faces and a nice saying ready. We felt very much in good hands. The diving spots around Port Ghalib are mostly very easy to dive and the reefs are intact. Turtles are not uncommon, we were very lucky to see an eagle ray in the blue on the house reef. A majestic sight. Beware of the house reef. Only the Extradivers currently have the license to dive there. And only the guests of the hotels The Palace, Siva and Resort are allowed to use the landing stages at the Palace and Siva. For all others the entrance to the house reef fish market remains.The exchange base has higher prices in comparison, but the service is great, we felt very comfortable. However, the drying room could be improved. For many divers it gets tight and the equipment does not dry out completely after an afternoon dive or minibus trip. There is a lockable box for every diver.We would love to come back. Many greetings to all employees

For 4 years we have always been flying to Port Ghalib in January. Unfortunately, this year we couldnt book a direct flight or a hotel because everything is closed :( So what to do. We decided to fly to Hurghada first, dive there for 1 week and then took a shuttle taxi for about 65 euros, which was great It works, to Port Ghalib. Frank had found us a nice apartment in the marina. Since we were the only guests with him, we got the all-round carefree package :). He responded to our requests and organized everything perfectly. I have known the dive center for a few years and can only speak positively about everything. Never had reason to complain about anything. Now in Corona times it is no different. Frank offers some online courses, which I think is good, its not the same as on-site, but ...I did one (Science of diving) and would like to thank Frank very much, it worked really well. From 11.11. until 15.11.19 I was diving at the Extra Divers in Port Ghalib. After doing my OWD last year, after a years diving break, I was a little unsure if I could still retrieve the knowledge and skills.The extra divers gave me great advice and excellent care for the total of 6 duch performed dives. Already after the first day I felt much safer diving again and can (subjectively felt, of course) say that within a few days I had a steep learning curve without having completed a course.All staff of the base were super helpful, friendly and competent and had an open ear for all questions and problems. Since I have no own equipment as a beginner, I was friendly and professional in the selection of the rental equipment helped and also the first time assembly a little gripped under the arms.The guides accompanying the dives were able to assess very well the individual care needs of their charges and accordingly I always felt very safe. All dive trips (house reef, minibus and boat) were super organized and the crew of the dive boat was extremely friendly and helpful. The Egyptian-style lunch offered on the boat was very tasty.All in all, a fantastic diving experience! Many thanks to the Extra Divers Port Ghalib, we will be back!

Recession ExtraDivers:We chose this diving school because it was described in various portals as a friendly and competent diving base.First of all: These expectations were exceeded by far!The diving center is located on the port promenade of Port Ghalib and you can be driven to and from the surrounding hotels with a club car on request.After the check-in and paperwork (registration form, etc.) we selected the right diving equipment so that we could start the OWD course. The equipment makes a very good impression and is almost exclusively from Aqualung.The dive center also makes a very good impression, is clean and thanks to Frank and his team very well organized.A huge compliment goes to our instructor, Sophie, who trained us to become an OWD, even if she was a little desperate at times.It was exhausting and a lot of input for us, but with her nice, friendly and funny way she made up for it. The common open water dives on the house reef were simply a dream.We can therefore recommend the diving school ExtraDivers Port Ghalib with a clear conscience.There was a family atmosphere right from the start, so we felt comfortable at all times. After 1 1/2 years diving break I was diving with the extra divers in Egypt (Port Ghalib / Marsa Alam) at the Frank a few days ago. Thanks to the friendly, competent and open nature of the whole team, I already had an absolutely positive feeling in the preparation and in the preliminary discussions. Before I was offered I was shown the base everything was very clean and everything was there for everything there were large sinks for washing the equipment each has its own locker with lock there were training rooms where you could learn everything in peace so everything in everything as it must be to feel good.I decided to take a private guide who understands German. Frank his people can speak several languages ​​so everyone is welcome based on his language. Thanks to my dive buddy Mohmoud and his experience as well as his way I had a diving experience at the house reef which I will not forget so soon. I can recommend this dive center with the best conscience and will definitely come back in the future.

The first time you enter the dive center, you will be warmly, calmly and, above all, competently received and advised by Katrin and Silke. I immediately felt comfortable and registered for the AOWD. I have also been to other dive centers in Port Ghalib in the past few years, there I always had the feeling that they just wanted to talk about dives and make money, everything was always a bit hectic. The feeling of wellbeing was simply never there.At the start of the AOWD course at Extra Divers it turned out that one of the participants had an incredible number of dives, but had not been diving for 10 years. Spontaneously he was taken out of our group and got his own instructor, which I found only fair to him and us. Just mentioned as an example. They try to get the best out of everyone :)I had contact with many guides, diving instructors and staff and found everyone very warm and nice. They know the reefs well and were able to convey the knowledge very well.Compared to the other dive centers in Port Ghalib this is really a bit more expensive, but I think it is justified. The equipment made a good impression and great care is taken to ensure that it is handled with care. When you check in, you get a lockable box, where your own equipment is safely stored. The house reef is comfortably driven with a small caddy mobile (1-3 min), the boat is directly in front of the door.I highly recommend Extra Divers Port Ghalib!

Extra Divers Ghalib is a dive center that speaks German. The basic management, the instructor, the reception staff and some dive guides speak German. Extra Divers Ghalib is the only dive center in Port Ghalib that uses club cars to pick guests up from the hotel and drive them to and from the house reef. The bridges are not passable. Most guests wear their own equipment. Those who have health problems just need to let them know, then our staff carry the unit to the water.

From 22.9. -27.9.19 we visited the Extra Divers in Port Ghalib.During our stay we tested the repertoire of boat, minibus, house reef and further education dives.The entire crew was friendly and accommodating. The organization of the excursions commendable.No question remains open, wishes are fulfilled if possible ...e.g. There is always the possibility to be collected at the hotel and to be returned.Kudos to the whole team.Clear recommendation! During Corona I was allowed to do 3 online modules (Shark Ecology, Marine Ecology, Fish Identification) at Extra Divers Ghalib. This worked perfectly. Frank helps wherever he can. If you write him an email you will receive an answer within a few hours.I can highly recommend these courses because they are great fun and you can learn a lot.

First impression very good: very tidy, structured and the first conversation extremely inspiring and inviting.Unfortunately, a check dive is required before other excursions can be booked. This was on the house reef with me and was not very spectacular.An excursion to the Cave-Dive was booked for the coming day. But only after all the necessary preparations, 20 minutes after the meeting point, was it mentioned halfway to the transport bus that a different tour was taken due to the weather.Had this been communicated earlier, many divers might have jumped off. But in this way we all went with it more or less reluctantly. You wont find an apology or an inheritance in vain.Since this diving school is also relatively expensive, I can unfortunately not report a good experience. Too bad.

I was recommended this basis because of the German-speaking diving school. unfortunately, it turned out that appropriate staff was not there. since my mind is not so bad, I drove anyway, but did not understand the Egyptian mumblebo. I was also annoyed that we had to tow the entire equipment 200 m over the jetty on the house reef dives, where other diving bases drove there - unfortunately, this is very difficult for me now. So we switched with 5 people to the cheaper Egyptian base, where even the communication worked better. the comment from the head of the extra divers: hm ...
