Its a very intellectual cultural spot with allot of events & shows being held with very colorful decorations. In addition to lots of craftsmen & workshops being there, its a very good spot for people startups or new entrepreneurs to chose from glass to pottery or metal workshops. I think its a very smart spot.

I went to Darb 1718 for an exihibition and I loved it! Within the same compound you can find pottery workshops, sculpture ateliers and other nice shops. The rooftop is pretty cool for concerts and events.

Great artistic corner. Quiet and unique. Pottery makers are quite creative and they tend to be easy with negotiating prices.

Unfortunately visited Darb1718 on a Friday afternoon, didn’t get the chance to visit the galleries as they were closed. However the stroll around was fun, street art and cool corners all around the site.Must visit again!

Its a really nice place for concerts and other cultural events. Everything takes place in a really laid back and informal atmosphere. Last concert I attended there we were sitting on beam bags in a garden and the performers were in the same place. It is located in an interesting place of Old Cairo but might not be very easy to reach for some people. I strongly recommend going for a relaxing, fun and engaging evening of music when they have something on.

Wonderful corner of Cairo, artisanal shops and beautiful workshops.

They have good events, not so well advertised though. Attended the Sinatras yesterday. The lighting can be massively improved for better effect. The seating arrangement, the entrance, parking. But the place has a good vibe.

Its a nice place for learning pottery and other kinds of arts and crafts, they also do a lot of exhibitions around Egypt, also they have a lot of different constantly setup galleries inside of each teaching school for different kinds of pottery and other different wood work products that are constantly on display for people to buy.

Hard to reach, but well worth the trek to get there. Has a very unique, artsy feel to it. Hosts wonderful artists, and the museum on the ground floor is superb. Great for a night out with friends but make sure to check the schedule and arrange transportation beforehand.

The place is so good for artists working in the pottery field you will find very special pieces . Also they organize every now and then a live concert for underground bands. Some of these buildings there have hall can be rented to make art exhibition ... Its an interesting place to meet there with friends .

A cultural center with many pottery workshops, an exhibition hall and a very relaxed music theater on a roof top. Located in nice antique spot. Road to there are bit narrow, however, you will find a place to park in nearby streets. Good choices of bands and music. But seatings are horrible, not comfortable in regards of comforting all types of ppl - those who like chairs versus those who are ok to sit on ground.. Booking must be a must else you might not find a place to sit and you will stay on feet all event.

First, search for Nouran Abutaleb, you will get addicted to her voice.The place is unique, authentic and usually hosts extraordinary events. The only thing they need to care of is the air conditioning when it is crowded during a concert.

A site in old Cairo renovated to house art galleries and a small outdoors movie theater. There is a small cafeteria serves refreshments. The photo gallery is trendy. And fine.the place also helps to preserve clay arts. The area saraonding is known for clay works and crafts. Its a bit tricky to reach the place but using Google maps will definitely guide you there

For any contemporary art fans - or even those who are simply curious - Darb1718 is fantastic. Easily accessible by the metro, Darb1718 is a must visit for a sense of whats happening in Egypts contemporary art scene. If theres any event on, its best to visit then as it will be more lively and often there will be various performers.

Nice place put in a workshop

Attending a concert there is an awful experience. The most you can get is a cup of tea. I mean, what the hell is that.The sound is awful, the stage is very poor. Getting to the place is not that easy.In short dont try attending concerts or performing there.They did nothing to develop the concert experience since they opened and it gets worse by time.

I just went to an open air cinema to attend a documentary movie. Everything was ok. Helpful usher....good price. I hear they have many cultural and educational activities.
