Really amazing hotel, good quality food, clean, great pools and staff. I would work on two things - first change the restaurant reservation system, its super annoying and the staff at the reception should just handle the reservations manually. Second, a bit more smile from the staff would be nice.

The hotel is basically amazing. its super clean, staff are extremely helpful, always trying to make everything as comfortable as possible for everyone. Their are multiple pools and all are amazing, the place is overall very beautiful. In this hotel there’s something for everyone there’s peace and quiet yet there’s so much fun, music and lots of endless activities. The animation team are super sweet and helpful they made this trip way more fun with their fun and bubbly personalities. They’re constantly making sure that everyone is having the best time. Not to mention how fun the night shows are. Basically there’s something for everyone in this hotel, totally recommend going there!!

We decided to chose JAZ Lamaya for our winter holiday after reading multiple positive opinions about that location. Hotel is just 15 minutes away from the airport, what is naturally quite convenient. Check in done quickly and we landed in our room we asked for. Room cleaness from the beginning until the end of our stay with no remarks. Kind and helpful room service.Hotel Lamaya is positioned in the middle of the whole JAZ hotel complex, has nice access to beach and is the closest to the platform for diving. All JAZ hotels as well as another 2 hotels on the other side of the bay are connected with walk/jogging promenade, which is great. In the complex there is also quite big aquapark. Unfortnately, not all słides were open in the same time - too less guests was given as an explanation, when we asked why was that. Food served in restaurants was ok, we could find always somerhing to eat but we connot agree with opinions, that offered food has lots of variety. We had an impression, that for each breakfast, lunch and dinners there were many diahes offered but they were repeated every day and have the same kind of monotonous taste. Waiters were helpful, we would say even too kind and too helpful bringing things we have not asked for and using words, which in Europe would be treated as kind of offensive harrasment. Not nice experience, especially for teenager girls. We tried to book dinners in menu restaurants located in JAZ complex but with no success - they were always booked out in the time of our stay, really weird. The team responsible for animation was trying to activate guests but due to rather cold temperatures only few people were keen to join. Water in pools was too cold for many people so only very few were using them. Some of the animation guys were focused mostly on young guests and spent good time with them making fun together. Evening animations we found really poor, on the other hand we were happy not being tortured by disco polo music so often played in holiday resorts. The separate topic were drinks we were served in the bars. To be clear, we are not fans of hard drinking, but when we order a drink we expect to enjoy taste of cocktail. This time we had an impression there was no alcohol at all or very very little amount.Around the complex of hotels by the bay there is absolutely nothing to visit. You can spare visit to Port Ghalib, which is the only place in reachable by taxi distance - the place is empty with the same shops like in the hotel with trashy souvenirs, falsificates and spices, and with 3 open restaurants / cafes.Some guys selling extra services were unkind and did not want to understand the meaning of word: NO coming back with the same offer few times a day.

For the 7 th time that i come in egypt, this hotel is one of the best ive seen beyond the best, everything is on the top level, you feel a care of the customer and a will to provide a top service, food, infrastructure, seaview. Thanks a lot for offering such a good experience to the people

An ideal hotel for relaxation and comfort, the atmosphere this month is great, the service is excellent, and the food is delicious and varied, the staff are cooperative and give me my evaluation 10/10 and it will not be free once for me.

We stayed here for 9 days (beginning of December).The hotel and the hole hotel area were very clean and neat.The food was also very good and diversified.And the was always something going on (entertainment, volleyball games etc.)

Absolutely amazing place, recommend it to everyone interested in chillout and relax in beautiful environment. The coral reef is outstanding, it is spreading on wide area, colorful and full of fish, more importantly it is located in the bay so even if there are high waves in the open see, snorkeling is still possible. Resort has also all the necessary facilities, I highly recommend trying the aquapark, lot of fun. Last but not least - the staff is astonishing, really care about the guests well-being, always there for you. Fully deserved 5 stars.

Positive stuff:+ coral reef is the only interesting thing to see here. Beautiful, colorful variety of sea animals, turtles and many kinds of fishes. Really worth to do snorkeling or diving if somebody prefers.+ hotel staff as usual very friendly and helpful, becoming even more friendly when tipped ;-).And now something which is rather disappointing:- poor initial meet and greet - nobody assisted or accompanied to show the way to the room, only showed direction regardless the resort is very vast and buildings look almost the same.- We arrived in the hotel very late so all restaurants were closed which is off course understandable. We have been served plate with two sandwiches for two persons which is rather small portion of food unless you are or slimming diet. I asked staff if we could get one more plate with two more sandwiches but we never got them. No big drama. Luckily I had some my own food so I did not have to starve for night. Nevertheless first impression was some kind of spoiled.- minibar inside room is not free which for all inclusive package is misunderstanding. Only water, tea and coffee is free. Everything inside of fridge + snacks like crisps you have to pay for. Yet again all-inclusive but really not.- lack of information inside room like reception number, map of resort, hours of restaurants opening time and ect. Useful but missing here.- WiFi is very slow and unreliable. Sometimes even not impossible to get connected. You need to reconnect quite often with typing room number, name, date of check-in and email to connect again. Why so complicated and awkward? If you need faster WiFi you need to pay extra, and I do not know how faster it is indeed. I decided not to check. Yet again in my opinion paying for something which should be already in all-inclusive package is a big joke.- air conditioning in the room worked only in two modes offor freeze to death mode, regardless thermostat on the wall which allegedly was ornament doing nothing.- rooms could benefit from refreshing or refurbishing a bit, specially bathrooms. Some furniture not in very good shape like shower or bathroom items for example. 5 stars??? I dont think so.- breakfast - everyday exactly the same restricted choice of food. Scrambled eggs is a joke. Not recommended unless you prefer tasteless powderscrambled eggs like thing.- If you arrive to the restourant very near to closing time, lets say 15 minutes before, you better hurry up to collect some food fast on your plate, otherwise you will not get anything after. Food trays from buffet are collected even there are some people still eating and sitting at the tables in the restourant. Seriously? I have never seen something like that. Definitely not cool. Thankfully to friendly staff we managed to grab something.- tables at pool bars are not wiped regularly. Same concerns beach tables. You can find some party stuff left on them from the night before.- random temperature checks before entering to restaurants. I do not even want to think what would happen if you had fever or high body temperature. I can only guess: No access to restaurants? Obligatory Covid test? Quarantine? Well, definitely not the way you want to spend your holiday. Something to keep in mind when deciding about the direction to pick up where you want to go for your next vacation.- trip organized by TUI Poland. Contact with local resident in Egypt had to be relayed always by reception in the hotel. No direct way to call by phone number, no any other means like whatsapp or messenger was provided for emergencies.If you expect real all-inclusive package with same high standards you will be disappointed when you pick up this place. Personally, I am. Sorry to say that but unfortunately it was not the best vacation experience for me and my family. There are way better places to spend your holiday specially for that kind of money.

Amazing resort, good food and one awesome coral reef, better then the trips youll book. You have a chance to meet delphins and mantas etc. Entertainment and animation was very good very nice and dedicated people who put all their energy and effort in enjoying the guest. The hotel where everybody lies and tries to take money from you with all truth or not.We (my husband, me, three kids 9, 4 and 5 years old and our mother - totally 6 persons) arrived to the Lamaya Hotel at 01.10.2021 to rooms number 2215 and 2216. After several days my husband felt very bad (high temperature, diarrhea and woming) because of the stomach disease 🦠 and he felt bad until the end of our vacation. After asking another guests and animators we understood that the vegetables in the canteen were rinsed with not-filtered water and the ice in the hotel also was done from the non-filtered water. About 30% of all guests and employees have these symptoms.Three days later our daughter felt in the mini disco area because of the slipper stairs in the amphitheater. Due to her fall, she damaged the skin under her nose and was bleeding. The doctors from the hotel took her to the Hotels clinic and told us that we urgently needed an operation to strip the wound. We asked the doctor to call to our insurance company. Several minutes later he told that our insistence company refused but they would help us, the only thing we should do was to pay money for plastic surgery, anesthesia and emergency. My husband told that our insurance company would cover this case and asked doctors to call it again but doctors refused and left the cabinet. We stayed with our bleeding child inside. When we left the cabinet we saw these doctors just smoking near the pool and laughing.My husband took our daughter in the hands and we ran to the reception to ask to call an emergency and the insurance company. They refused to do both things but started to call our tour operator. Finally my husband reached an insurance operator with WhatsApp and it confirmed this case immediately. After two hours the insurance company and hospital in port Ghalib made an operation of our daughter. While we were sitting in the lobby (2 hours) with our bleeding girl no one from the hotel came to us and helped.When we returned from the hospital I asked to call a general manager. A man came to me and told that he was a general manager (actually he lied). He listened to me carefully and asked me how he could help. I told that my daughter cried very much in the hospital and I promised her a doll, thus I asked him to find a doll for her. He promised me and disappeared. I didn’t see him anymore.And finally, when we made a check-out, the reception guy gave a receipt for 130€.(When we arrived to the hotel, I came to the spa zone and asked about different treatments. The manager from the SPA suggested me two massages - one for 60€ and another for 70€. And gave me an offer from the SPA zone with this price. No date or time was confirmed yet. It was only a proposal. He asked me to sign this “document” to save this price and decided later which date and time for me would be fine. I called to the SPA zone in the evening and booked one date for 1 massage because other dates were either busy or not suitable for me. I used one massage and told that other one was no needed). We spent 35 minutes trying to convince that I didn’t use the second massage and each minute the reception guy told us different stories that we must pay and reasons why were different with every new minute. Thanx God the taxi driver came to pick us to the airport and we left this disgusting hotel.And one more thing. On the beach, there are a lot of eagle rays where kids are playing with sands. One ray damaged a leg of one man from Ukraine. Any notes that people must be careful you will not find. If this will happen, the hotel clinic can make you a first aid for all your money.

On 09/12/2021 till 16/120/21 iam with my family and friends at Jaz Lamaya we are satisfied and happy very much from high level service of staff starts from the reception especially Mohamed harb who is always helps me to know about hotel and nice room gave us and organised me all requirements and about food different and new types of food every day and good entertainment ..iam happy and I want to return again and again next year

I’m here for the third time. The hotel is located in the beautiful place with the direct access to the reef. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The service is very helpful and friendly. Food is excellent. The animation team is amazing. I think I will come back here again next year.

For the likes: excellent aquapark, high service in most cases, excellent swimming pools, low occupancy!, amazing gardens and resort area - especially considering the weather conditions, good everyday animationsDislikes: the working hours of bars (hungry after 21.00 - no option), cleanliness below european standards (yes, rooms are cleaned every day, but the curtains need washing, the sofas in the reception need a deep cleaning) bad smell in the rooms, issues with air conditioning (if works - completely good)

I would highly recommend this place!!There is literally not a single bad thing I can say. The rooms were great and very quiet - housekeeping is super friendly and recognizes you from the first day. Same with the staff in the restaurant and bar area. The food is plentiful and has a huge variety - there was always more that I wanted to try than what I could actually eat. Usually I am fed up with buffet food after a couple of days, but even after a week I still really enjoyed everything.We went diving with Coraya divers and I can also only speak highly of them.If you want to go for a walk - you can walk alongside the beach past the other hotels, which is very nice and if you want to leave the hotel, there are many excursions to choose from.This was the first time I stayed here with my family, but definitely not the last. What an amazing place to relax, swim, dive and eat.

The Jaz Lamaya is an all-inclusive resort about a 10min drive from the Marsa Alam Airport.1. It has a fabulous house reef. Really great and lots of stuff to discover: stingrays, lion fish, the whole collection of tropical fish, beautiful colorful clams, coral and sea life.2. It is part of a group of hotels and there is a great water-park beside the hotels, not in the middle of the hotel, meaning kids walk 3 minutes and enjoy about 15 slides without turning the resort into a kiddie park.3. Lots of lifeguards everywhere.4. Food was good- we stayed 2 weeks so breakfast becomes a bit repetitive as the menu doesnt change.5. Egypt was greatly affected by Covid, difficult times for the population, they were glad to have tourism back up.6. Rooms are not luxurious but theres very good value for money here.7. We had some slight issues with some of the staff but after a short and friendly intervention, the managers were quick to solve them. The difference was instant!8. Baby pool was shaded. Nice kids club.9. Amjad, who arranges transportation from the main lobby, booked us an overnight trip to Luxor with Khaled as our driver (we love him). Very receptive and efficient! We felt very safe in their care!If you do go to Luxor, go have lunch at Africa, nice view, authentic food, not fancy but it is tasty. Definitely book a balloon ride at dawn! Stay at the Steinberger Nile Palace with old-world charm!10. Both the dive center on-site and Emporer Dives in Port Ghalib were great!!! Osama at the Coraya Center and Saad with Emporer are very good and serious instructors.11. The internet isnt a strong point in Egypt.In conclusion, keeping in mind the budget at hand and the all-inclusive holiday, I recommend this destination. Not to mention the short flight from Europe, 3.5 hours, WOW!!!

Jaz one of my favorite resort brand in Egypt. I give them 4 stars becouse of the internet (3 days they had internet issues and after that very poor connection) and it was extremely, extremely crowded!!!I stayed there 8 nights... Tasty food, the workers are nice and always ready to help you and they speak decent English. Jaz Lamaya resort is well maintained, clean. The resort has gym, wellness facilities, tennis courts, beach volleyball courts. Every day you have yoga, rumba, dance and different activities.Also can be great for families with little kids.

Animation team is Great especially Daniel and The Zimbabwean guy and also the food is alsome

Hotel and nature around are realy great and beautifully. Service is very good, people very polite. Unfortunately there is no COVID 19 precautions. Additionally, very primitive and noisy entertainment after 10.00 pm make the stay less comfortable.

Ventured to travel during todays world situation. The hotel is trying to survive and keep the team - this is a plus, but the savings are felt. Animators, staff work great, food is very weak (not 4 *), strong drinks - horror! The reef is good, there are always a lot of fish, turtles and stingrays came. It will be very difficult for those who travel with children who still need a stroller, there is not an entrance everywhere, you have to carry a stroller in your hands. For the price at which the vacation is being sold now, you can go!

We arrived after 9pm and the staff were waiting for us. They took our passports and presented us with a drink. After booking us in we were escorted to our room. The rooms are clean and tidy and have everything we needed for our stay. Our cases were brought to our room after about 15 mins. In the room we found a freshly prepared sandwich and drink. Next day we saw how gorgeous the resort was and how manicured the grounds were. The staff were both friendly and helpful and clearly work very hard. The service is good but give them a tip and you will want for nothing. The snorkeling off the jetty is amazing and needs to be seen to be believed. If you have a gopro or equivalent, take it! The hotel is a German haven for divers and understandably so. There are few Brits but the service difference between nationalities was not noticeable which we have come across before. Some people have returned to this resort many times which we are now considering. It is in the middle of nowhere but ideal for someone who wants to put their feet up and completely relax. I would totally recommend.

Best holiday ever here at Jaz Lamaya. The pool bar staff and restaurant team are among the nicest, friendliest and most accommodating people Ive ever had the good fortune to meet. The hotel is clean, the food is fresh and the pool is warm. Learnt to snorkel in the beautiful bay and booked to go again next year. Would give more than 5 stars if possible!!!!

I liked the pools very much. The sea is not bad considering other hotels around. The food quality and variety is perfect. The aqua park is amazing. My daughter had so much fun. The kids club is excellent with great activities. Though I think if more materials are added it would be perfect. The animation team that work with children are the best thing in the hotel. My daughter fell in love with them. Special thanks to Julia and Gabriella. But honestly all the girls are sooo sweet. The mini-disco was very nice. My daughter waited for it daily. Only wish there were fans in the place cause it was really hot. The waiters are very nice to everyone. They made sure everything we needed was available even it it wasn’t in the buffet and my daughter needed it they would immediately serve it.The cleanliness. Honestly the guy who cleaned our room was very good. But the room itself and many areas in the hotel need immediate renovation. The new towels put looked old and worn off and didn’t like the smell. Butterflies and small flies are everywhere in the room. Last day we saw a green insect walking on the pillow. Thanks God it was the last day cause if I saw it earlier I would have left. Also a free shuttle bus to port Ghaleb should be available. I have one comment also about the reception. I asked if we could extend the stay and how much it would cost per night and the guy suggested at the end of the talk that we could look for cheaper hotels around which i found very rude. We didn’t extend the stay because we couldn’t find places on the plane on Sunday. I think they should be taught how to speak to guests and offer advice when asked only.

All inclusive hotel that tries hard to be good. Staff is working hard to make guest wishes come true. Great room service. Friendly faces all around. House coral reef within walking distance, renting a wet suit is highly recommended (5 euro a day). There are a number of tours on offer, but the location at the desert coast prevents doing much more than quad rides, snorkeling, swimming pool, eating.

Extremely friendly entertainment team, not many English speaking staff but multiple entertainers speak very good English. Food is very good and theres plenty of choices, salad, fish, meat dishes, pasta, rice etc, if you have special requests its available to do so. Drinks Are being offered but you wont be pestered if youre relaxing or you say no, this is the same with entertainment activities. Everything during our stay was perfect, no complaints.

Although reviews seem to be good, the hotel management and the receptionists are very poor at communication and at receiving your requests.The rooms look actually nice and the housekeeping is very nice, but the staff (the receptionists) are very skills-deficient professional-wise. They were always late to respond to any issue. The way they interact with any inquiry is that sure, we are sending you someone right now, but then they never take an action till you call multiple times. It depends on the receptionist, but one of them already ended the call once I asked about something.An example:I got a room with a nonfunctioning AC in a 37 degree Celsius weather. Asking to fix it, I was told that someone is on their way- which eventually took them the whole day after calling them 6 times. I stayed the whole day in the lobby (after an 11-hour flight) because I could not stand the room.Another example is WiFi was not provided, and I was informed that the only option is to buy a SIM card and a bundle from the mobile network company agents whom they are cooperating with. I did not really understand how a supposedly 5-star hotel does not provide WiFi.

Would highly recommend this hotel. Ahmed our room cleaner was excellent making some interesting characters out of the towels each day. Our room was always immaculate. The hotel staff were always friendly and courteous from ***agement down to the waiters gardners cleaners animators. Evening entertainment by the animation staff is fun to watch.

Nice resort in Marsa Alam, this place is usually a little windy in February, might consider that. Staff is friendly but they usually expect you to tip. The hotel has a nice garden with three pools, heated and for kids. Beach is nice, accessible thru the garden. Also food is very good, quite a wide selection. Overall 4/5, it was a very pleasant stay.

The hotel is so good and nice

A small tip is always welcomed. We were allocated our room (2322) and within minutes we were in situ and our cases had been delivered to the room. Transfer is super fast only 15 minutes which was great. The Animation team do a great job in getting people involved with events, without being pushy. Room was kept clean and the towel art was a laugh. Welcome to the hotel was the usual flannel and cocktail and straight off to our rooms.

Lovely place to visit with friendly staff!!The room was very clean and tidy, our houseman Taha took care of our cleaning in the best possible way and was always very kind with us.The staff at the pool very friendly as well, making sure everything is provided to you. Quality of the drinks and service was excellent!Food, sometimes can be repetitive, but overall the food has taste and well cooked. Good variety of snacks as well and drinks.Animation team also making sure they make you are not getting bored, thumb up to Momo which is an amazing and friendly guy, an important asset for thr company in bringing a smile on peoples faces.Amazing experience and looking forward visiting this place again.

The resort is ideal for family holidays with its good size rooms, different size pools, playgrounds areas and beautiful sand beach. The corals and fishes makes people come to visit for snorkeling.There is a water park close by with huge and different sizes slides, a children pool and pool restaurants.Some shops just by the reception area with souvenirs and swimwear and accessories.

What a fantastic holiday. The location is perfect if you want to get away from it all. The facilities were well looked after and cleaned to a high standard on a daily basis. We were asked to fill out several surveys and comment cards and the staff were always asking how things in the hotel were and it we were happy.

Everything was great in the hotel. Perfect service, really kind stuff. House reef is beautiful most of the corals are still alive.Good food for such a big hotel.We will come again for sure.We recommend this place to all people who injoy snorkling and a relaxing atmosphere for their holiday.
