Really great shop, with a nice quality items and very correct prices.Compared to the tourists hunt that the other sellers practice in the city, Gaddis is a real haven.Professionnal employees, warm and welcoming. But you never feel forced to buy. The prices are labelled and you dont feel robbed as you do elsewhere in Louxor.Gaddis saved us for our souvenirs shopping. Thanks for that !

Beautiful, old-world shop that harkens back to a time long past. Great selection of books, maps, perfumes and local souvenirs such as figurines or tablets. My favourite was the collection of old Egyptian b/w posters as printed by the French. Fixed price so no haggling which is refreshing.

A little gem close to the iberotel. Very friendly staff and willing to help. All sorts of books, Cotton scarfs, pillow covers. Bags and much more souvenirs to choose from. Eg. a ruler cost 25 EGP where other places charged double. So go and see for yourself.

Wonderful shop with lots of character and an excellent selection of books - they seem to work closely the American University in Cairo and stock superb academic texts at the real price. No hassle or nonsense, just nice staff and great stock. An oasis in comparison to the grim hassle elsewhere in Luxor - highly recommended.

If youre not sure how much you should be paying for some of the standard items in the market, I highly recommend visiting this shop first. They have fixed prices which are reasonable by most tourist standards and basically give you an idea of how much you should maximally pay for similar quality products in the souk. It is a true no hassle shopping experience.

Fantastic shop with wide range of books, prints, photographs and souvenirs. Very well priced. Shop assistants were helpful, polite and respectful. Its a calm and peaceful place, refreshing especially compare to those aggressive taxi drivers outside. Highly recommend a visit! Also worth taking a look at their website as the shop itself has got a fascinating history.

BEST POSTCARDS IN EGYPTI like to mail and also collect postcards on my trips, and found Egypt to be quite lacking in this aspect. This company has an EXCELLENT selection of postcards. They range from your standard city shots to historical classic images to local art images. The store also has a very good selection of handmade crafts from local artists in the area. No hassling!!!I highly recommend this to anyone who is tired of being hassled in the main market area. Its located next to the Sofitel Winter Palace.

This is a GREAT shop. All prices are marked. Since we don’t know what things should cost we paid more in Souk after bargaining. GREAT selection. No hassle or pressure—just friendly and helpful staff. The historical photos are amazing and worth a visit all by themselves.

Very pleasant store in which the prices are already indicated on the products, so no haggling or feeling of being cheated like in the rest of the country, and in which the sellers do not jump on us when we enter. You can take the time to choose any type of souvenir, and ask the sellers for information if necessary.

We would like to point out how great this store is. It has a crazy charm as such, is well endowed in various articles. The prices are sweet and already indicated, which is very relaxing and allows to choose what makes us happy without stress and without these terrible unpleasant haggling. The salesmen are sweet, charming and respectful. As a result, we chose the little souvenirs of Egypt that we wanted to bring back to offer or for us. Pretty tablecloths, old photos, mugs, teaspoons. It is truly a shop wonder that is worth seeing. We feel the Egypt of the 1900s is wonderful.

An old shop that has been in business since the 1900s, there are a lot of books about Egypt, even the books of the Cairo Museum that I didnt buy at the AUC bookstore in Cairo, and the price is the same as Cairo! Clearly priced, virginity. The postcards and many souvenirs are also sold here. The atmosphere in the store is very calm. The two staff members I met (a man and a lady) are very modest and polite. They will introduce you to various books and souvenirs. Compared with the coachman and the taxi driver who are selling like a fly, this is really a rare quiet place.
