To get to this place you need to go left from the complex gate. The places decor is simple and elegant.Service is very quick and efficient.We went on a Tuesday, there was a live music and a singer. They were out of draft beer though! Music was nice but super loud at times.Food is the main downside of this place. We ordered 2 appetizers: sausage quesadillas which was very grease and a cheese and charcuterie platter was ok. I have to say I woke up with stomachache the following day.#Cairo #tappas

One of my favorite places in Cairo. Brings totally different experience and atmosphere than any other bar in Cairo. Starting from the decor which is absolutely unique to the atmosphere which is always different and authentic for the place. On one of my visits they had jazz singer from Morocco and she was so delightful, unfortunately the people were so unappreciative towards the talent and her presence that they literally didnt even notice her nor applauded. I believe its very disrespectful not only for the people who are performing there but also for the bar itself that brings different artists and different music than any other place. I hope that this wont discourage the bar to start having ordinary nights like any other bar in Cairo. In contrary, that style is their uniqueness separating it from the other typical bars around.

This is a truly amazing gem in Heliopolis. Walking through the first time I really got the Caribbean vibe. While I have not been to Cuba, I have been in enough places in San Juan in Puerto Rico and in the restaurants namesake in East Harlem to say it’s the real deal.

Cosy place, nice outdoor setup, lovely at night but wouod definitely be a great breakfast and lunch place if available.Staff needs a bit of training yet they were helpful.I need to watch very well your bill asamy times mistakes and adding some extra Drinks you didnt consume. Happens.

Genuinely a great place. Good vibe. Good drinks. Just watch out on the price - paid close to 100 USD for 4 single shots of Bombay S. Gin. and two tonics. Was a bit hard to swallow.

Atmosphere and overall style and aesthetic is perfect. If youre coming for drinks youd be satisfied, if youre coming for food though, youd be disappointed at the mediocre flavors that unfortunately dont level up to the ambiance and the steep prices.

Its a very beautiful restaurant/bar.They have good food, I didnt think they had a good selection for a proper dinner but good for snacks.They also have brunch specials which is really good.The stuff was very attentive and helpful for the most part until they end where it took them extremely long to get our bill but I think that might be a temporary glitch with their system.

El Barrio is a nice outing for a quick hangout for a small group in the Middle of the week, but it wont be nice for a big group during weekends as the place is a bit tight. I like their music selection and sometimes there were good live performances. The menu requires adding some more options / variety, also increasing the portions would be a good move.

Very bad service, I wanted to drink draught beer but they told me that they had an offer on Heineken glass so I told them why not so I ordered it and found the beer wasnt cold, and then some of our friends ordered Sangria so they put four glasses and they asked for a fifth glass but the waiter response was very blunt he told them it only comes with 4 glasses however after insistance he got them hardly another glass and then they asked for a spoon to pick the fruit from Sangrea again the waiter response was very rude. Although I went to this place last summer and enjoyed it but this time they reallyy sucked

Unprofessional manager . I booked a table for the live music and brunch . I found the table indoor and not even seeing the singer... the reply was that it’s fully booked outside. However i saw people coming later and they were waiting and he managed to find them a place . I requested that i can be transferred and they didn’t do any effort to transfer me to empty tables later regardless that while i was leaving there were 4 empty tables outside.Food and drinks are mediocre.

Nice place, but staff were not very friendly. Very expensive compared to similar places in the same category. Very poor menu. Also there was a band who played Arabic classic music, which did not suit the atmosphere.

Bad reservations management, I booked a table for 2 persons , they sent me confirmation for my booking. When I arrived at place they said only bar seats are available, the reservation manager kept manipulating to offer me bar seats only.

Didnt honor reservation for event. Planned event 4 days in advanced and came from far away.

The service was very bad and increase the items count to let us pay more in the invoice they opened the second can while the first one was not empty yet to increase value of invoice I dont recommend going there an if you did be aware of the items number and make sure to control the guy who service your table and view all cans number I was there together with my friend for two hours and found that they inserted eight red bull cans with seven hundred pounds- be aware of the invoice items counts and value
