The Industrial Higher Institute was established in 1957 to graduate applied technicians, the study period is four years, and then the study period was increased to five years in 1959 - and in 1961 it split The study at the institute was to two phases, and the study period in the first phase was three years, so that the student would obtain a diploma at the end of industrial institutes - and the second phase was of two years.In 1974, Republican Decree No. (542) for the year 74 was issued to transfer the Higher Industrial Institute in Mansoura to the College of Engineering, where the scientific and human resources qualified to convert the institute into an engineering college were available, and the duration of study was five years. In the years following 1974 and until now, the college developed a great scientific development, as it increased its size and multiplied the advanced laboratories that serve the educational process and became one of the leading colleges among the Faculties of Engineering in Egypt.
