Faculty of Computers and Information - Mansoura University is an educational, research and service institution that adopts innovation and qualifies a cognitive and skilled graduate who is able to compete in the labor market and community service according to global developments while adhering to the principles of originality.

Faculty of Computers and Information - Mansoura UniversityIt is one of the first four Faculties of Computers and Information that was established in Egyptian universities with the aim of preparing graduates specialized in the fields of computers and information technology technologies who are qualified to work and deal with the labor market and the competitive capabilities it requires to meet the growing need for specialists in these fields.The Faculty of Computers and Information at Mansoura University was established according to the issuance of Republic Decree No. 419 of 1995.The study began in the college in the academic year 1996/1997 and included the departments of information systems and computer science.In the year 2006 the college started to register for postgraduate studies.In the year 2007, the college’s bylaw was developed in line with the requirements of science and technology development, and a new department was established, the Department of Information Technology.As the development in the field of computer and information technology was continuous, the college established a number of distinguished programs in the undergraduate and postgraduate stages.The college also grants a bachelor’s degree - a diploma - a master’s degree - a doctoral degree in specializations (computer science - information systems - information technology).According to Ministerial Decree No. 1786 of 6/5/2014, it was approved to grant the college the degree of Applied Postgraduate Studies and a Masters degree in accordance with the credit hour system in three new programs: Information Security, Geographic Information Systems and Business Information Technology.According to Ministerial Resolution No. 1787 of 6/5/2014, it was approved to grant the college a bachelor’s degree in software engineering with a credit hour system.According to Ministerial Resolution No. 4607 of 10/22/2014, it was approved to grant the college a bachelor’s degree in medical informatics with the credit hour system.The college also awards a master’s degree - a diploma degree with the credit hour system, in the following specializations (information security - geographic information systems - business information technology - it also awards a professional postgraduate diploma degree in information technology).
