Not recommended and I dont advice to go this awful place, i will share my experience with this staff, no menue for the drinks and told us that their is a minimum charge 250 and its ok but when we asked for the receipt, I shocked when i found the receipt about multiplying 250 for 5 person without any details about the prices of our requests and when i asked for the details they refused to give me the full details. again not recommended for foreigners or citizens at all.

This is absolutely A PAB NOT A BAR. I think it is more suitable for elderly people not for young. I felt their ambience was classic and oldies. The staff were not really friendly but appropriate. The price were a little bit expensive than the average of Egypt.

It is what it is - a Pub. Not a bar, not some hipster hang out, it is in essence a Pub. Food is great, service is classic and spot on. Clients are decent :) a little bit spiced priced but it’s worth it for one of the very few authentic experiences in Egypt.

It is one of my favorite cozy corners from 25 years to get a drink and chill !!! The place is very well organized although its size, Staff are too helpful, prices are reasonable, wine leaves are mouthwatering! music is a bit loud but matches well with the ambiance.

Dıdnt manage to take any pics but all as available on search. first of all they refused to show or give any menu, only verbal menu. theyve charged 500 pounds for a shot of whıskey. the pub has very small area and yes may be it looks like British pub but its not and none of us found it comfortable.

Really expensive, dont go there.. they dont have a menu.. and they charge 12% service and 14% tax on top of the rediculous price, we paid 900 egyptian pound (over 50 euro) for 2 beer and 2 tequilla.. and the exchange rate is 17.9 and they rate 15.9.. egyptian people pay way less than we did..

One of Egypt most iconic and oldest pubs, the hot and cold appetizer are to die for especially the beef cubes, chicken liver and sausage, like most Egyptian places that serve alcohol it is way overpriced - highly recommend you get your own bottle on your way there.

Honestly the atmosphere is great but the prices are ridiculous I paid over 900 pounds for 3 jack and cokes. That’s about $60 bucks just for 3 mixed drinks 🍹. I’ll probably never go again because it’s probably the most expensive bar I’ve been too. Honestly a waste of money.

It was pretty cool, the ambience is really cozy, local drinks are a bit above the range but still, imported alcohol is over the moon (3 B52 shots were above 850 pounds) other than the shots the rest was nice, and the bathroom btw is a single use in both males and females, try not to load till 100%!!! 😀happy times

Don’t go to Pub 28 in Zamalek, it’s unsafe. I’m a 27 year old Egyptian woman and the manager physically assaulted me, which is inexcusable. Please avoid this venue.

I asked them to sit in s table instead of the bar cause the chair was not comfortable but they refused because Im not having a dinner.No prices for hard drinks and it makes sense because one shot of Vodka = 150 egp.When it gets crowded, it started to be noisy and uncomfortable.Bad experience.

I visited Pub28 with my colleagues from the Norwegian embassy in Cairo last week. The place was nice and like a traditional english dark pub, but the service tried to charged us much more than it was priced at the menu. When we kindly refused and asked to speak with the manager, the manager where rude enough to not come to our table. The waitress overcharged us with extra Schweppes and Red Bulls than we actually ordered and opened. If you are a new face , I advice you not to show . It’s an old schools pub who are familiar with old school faces that use to frequently visit the place .90% of staff need to get rid of them , they are a disgrace to the place , no experience , non welcoming , never know their work description .Food in general is accepted and rated as moderate .Guests are rated by what they order . Beer consumers are the last to be recognized .Waiters will be hanging in front of you , your glass is empty , no intensional to ask you if you need drink or not .I do not advice any below 100 years guy to be there .

Today I returned having lived in Zamelek back in 2001 to 2003. I was so disappointed to find the service had gone and staff seemed to only focus on those they knew and would tip at high levels.The beer was great it was cold and enjoyed. However I arrived at 13:15 and the pub was not busy with about 2:1 ratio of staff to customers. At 14:45 still unable to order anything to eat I decided enough time had been wasted, waiting for zero service, so left and enjoyed a great meal elsewhere. So if its a cold beer then I would recommend, if it’s a meal then go somewhere else as they don’t care about service. I must say never have I experienced being totally ignored in a restaurant like this anywhere in the world before. At first I thought maybe it was the tactic to make you buy more drinks, but hurting customers in this way is wrong and suggest both a staff and management policy change is implemented.

50 years old pub... you can smell history when you enter, crowed seems very nice and from the area itself Styl classy in its way. I would come back for sure for how cozy it’s .. first glance you think it’s closed from outside just kick the door to history and the cool atmosphere. I think I will come back for sure.the only sad part of it all that the host looking after my table did not like me somehow so I did not get any welcoming sign of him... he won’t spoil it all for me anyway.

So you need to know what you want, and still ask for prices.The staff was not friendly at all, and we paid 180 EGP +TAXES for one cup of box orange juice with vodka. They have only two cocktails and they are very weak and expensive.Still, the bottle of wine had a fair price, so we cant say we didnt like the place.

This place is perfect for a meal while day drinking. I was there and I ordered gin and tonic with feta cheese and tomato and it was perfect. With an older crowd and a relaxing atmosphere its the perennial place for a chat with friends or day drinking.

A great place with an old fashion design with a very special mood, service is good, people are friendly somehow, no shisha, good food and beverage, music is not 0erfect but good, when you need to have a good time in an old design bar you can visit this place. Parking is difficult a bit but its okay.

I prefer to go early to this place as it gets smokey in the evening. Nice finger food especially the cheese balls, grilled liver and steak. They serve nice sangria as well. Waiters can be a bit rude sometimes when its crowded.

Excellent food, really tasty with a wide variety, reasonable prices given the high quality, I would actually say much better than other places. Good music, small place with not so many places, too smokey, and the average age is above 45.

Deceptively classic mix of an inn, bistro, old town café and small restaurant without any interesting view or any characteristic appeal or peculiarity to make it stand out from the competition.Yet, Zamalek is the posh and upscale district of Cairo and, despite the competition, Pub 28 is still holding its place, ranking a top destination for a decent stopover.The place is clean and neat. Beer and wine are served at affordable prices. You can bring your own liquor for a fee. Food is good but not a delicacy. Service is excellent with waiters responsive to patrons very promptly.

Cozy bar with the best food in town.

Pub28 is an excellent pub for after hour beverages and quick bites. The crowd is a bit older but the staff is extremely friendly. Overall everyone is very down to earth.

Theres really no other way to describe it other than an old mans pub. Call ahead for reservations because its difficult for walk-ins to get a seat. This place is all about its regulars. If you get a table try the hawahshi with a cold beer. Hawawshi is a local spiced ground beef sandwich thats fried. Its delicious.

I have had the worst experience ever at this bar. It says online that the place closes at 2am, but I went in for a drink around 11, and they refused to serve me. When I politely asked why, the staff responded so rudely. They were very disrespectful and aggressive. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Terrible reception! I came in and the bar was reasonably crowded. The refused to let me sit even though i was only one person. Or maybe because i wasn’t white enough to be in. Never coming back to it.

Best mezza place in town. Food is just so good. Beer so cold and people so friendly (not the staff). Feels like youre in the 80s. Regulars there are on the older side, but theyre fun. If youre visiting Cairo, you gotta check out this place. Also the area where its at - Zamalek is one of the best. Go for a stroll after.

Liked it for Cairo. Usual Egyptian stuff, lots of tables reserved for people who arent coming on time, or not coming for three hours. Beers are touristy cheap, but egyptian expensive. If you tell them how to make a drink (mojito for instance), specifically to your taste, it will come as ordered.

You need to book ahead for table seating. If not, you can always join the lonely hearts at the bar. They are nice people, and will scoot for you 👍

Far from a pub! Except for the name, theres nothing pubby about this place. Yes, theyve got some old wood paneling, but thats about it. Lets start with the drinks - they serve beers with the usual cocktails/drinks. Beer wise, its the usual local stuff; no Guinness, no dark pints. Now tell me, what sort of pub does not serve a good ol pint of Guinness? About service, I know you wouldnt walk into a pub expecting Ritz Carlton service, but where the hell is the friendliness of a pub? I was there on the first day of Ramadan, esrly at 7pm. The whole place was dead, as in ONE other table occupied. Yet, I couldnt sit at any of the tables, because its for dinner (food) customers only. Nope, my 3 pints of beer is no good, not to mention there were no more customers the whole evening. Finally, this place is filled with smoke. Now I wouldnt mind smoking if there was decent ventilation. Nope! Cancer from second hand skiing guaranteed, if you stay long enough.In summary, this place is nothing but a bar that has Pub to its name. Except for a few old folks, whove probably been frequenting here for a couple of decades, this place offers nothing special. If youve lived in the developed part of the world and visited a pub, this place would be the biggest turnoff. Do yourself a favor, and skip this place for good reason. That could even mean grabbing some beers at the drinkies, and hanging out on your balcony.Pub 28, please remove the Pub from your name. Youre a disgrace to a Pub.
