What a gorgeous place...loved the tent style restaurant with gorgeous views of the Nile. Place is cosy with relaxed sofa seating, shisha, cocktails, and delicious food!! There was even a large round table for big groups who want to celebrate a special occasion. We watched fresh bread being baked in brick-oven in back of the restaurant. We came here for a business dinner and would highly recommend this place.

That is one of the best places ever in Cairo. It has lovely scenes and views. It is in the middle of the river Nile in Zamalek. They have a very good quality food. They have also a very good and quick service. It is expensive but it deserves. Once you are there for once, you will be there for several times.

This place was recommended to us via locals and I must say it is something. Situated on a riverbank in the middle of Cairo it is an exceptional place. Somewhat upper scale, but certainly accessible for everyone. The vue is unique, but its not something you will easily found as a regular tourist.We had an Iftar dinner, so I can not tell you how the menu looks like normaly, but this time it was a pretty damn good buffet. I hidden gem. To discover for certain!

We came here during Ramadan month, so its pretty crowded around dinner time. Its located right at the tip of the Gezira Island overlooking the Nile river. Nicely decorated and servers were very attentive. Food was okay so taking off one star for that. Its still a pretty decent restaurant in Cairo that worth a visit.

Charge 200, there is no non-smoking area in the 3rd one ( above average food) but it has the option of a very large round table for big party and numbers with additional fees. After 7:00 pm its 18+ as it serve alcholics, balloons, and other birthday loud instruments are not permitted there

Updated: October 8thThis place has indefinitely closed as of 5th October.Food and ambiance were great. Ordered the fattoush, grilled Halloumi and moussaka with bechamel. The service while attentive was a bit over eager, they spared only a minute or two before coming back to check in which was a bit disruptive to my ability to enjoy the meal. I wonder if I need to be more assertive in asking them to leave me alone until I ask them for something next time.Dont order the margarita as it was essentially undrinkable despite my efforts to salvage it with fresh lime slices.Upon asking for the bill, one is the servers forcefully asked me to fill out the survey before even receiving the check. I filled it out and again his eagerness came in to swoop up the survey to read while he was standing right next to me and then he presented it to another gentleman. I would have told them to their faces what I wrote down but it was rather uncouth to do what they did. Perhaps its just cultural differences?Overall, Id come back to enjoy the view and freshly prepared food. I love this place. It has the perfect view by the Nile especially if you are lucky enough to have a first row table. The food is amazing with a nice set of varieties. It is a suitable place for gatherings and events and in the summer it is advised to go by sunset and in winter the place would be great at noon for a brunch or lunch.

Nothing can be told about how much I love this place.The view is one of the best for any restaurants in Egypt, the staff are friendly and professional, they offer quality service.You will have to make a reservation by phone at least a day before, or else youll be put on a long waiting list.Also if you dont have a driver it will be a hassle to find a place to park your car.

The food ranges from very good to excellent. The service could be better, swifter and more courteous; some of the waiters think theyre doing you a favour by allowing you into their territory. And the chairs need to be more comfortable, too low for the tables. However, generally a lovely restaurant, perfectly located on the Nile. I still keep going back.

The service is fast, quality of the food is okay,the place could use some more lighting . .my friend and I asked for the cheque twice before it came the waiter asked us to give the place good ratings on trip advisor first before handling us the cheque and also wanted us to order more things and said there was a minimum charge after a little talk with the manager they accepted to let us go without paying for any extras we dont need.Putting this aside the place was comfy and clean and the toilets were clean as well

Was there last night, as always, great environment, delicious food, lovely and attentive staff.Their problem is, the staff are too busy, they forget some of your orders and/or requests and the food was a bit cold. Here are few things that happened with us last night for example, ordered water with my food and drinks, got everything except the water, had to ask for it 3 times before I finally got it. When it was time to leave, I ordered the bill and a machine to pay by card, I asked for the bill about 5 times with the machine over a period of 15-20 minuets, finally I got the bill but no machine, asked for the machine again twice but got nothing, so after 5 more minuets of waiting, I decided to take the bill and try and pay at the front desk, then when I have almost reached the front desk, I had a waiter chasing me with the machine. When I got home I found that one of the dishes I had asked them to pack for take out was missing, was a great disappointment as I asked specifically for that dish and told them it was my favorite dish of the meal.

This place has the best view of the nile! Oriental authentic cuisine, wine, shisha, desserts! And romantic/chic but still great for groups seating arrangements. 10/10 would recommend, especially if youre a tourist! But do reserve beforehand as it might get crowded over the weekends!

Best place Ive been in Cairo so far! The staff is very attentive. The hookah is well taken care of with people making sure its hot enough with thick smoke and that it doesnt burn your throat. Fantastic food that made me want to move to Cairo. Have to go.

The place is amazing but I think people go there for the view over the Nile which for a person like me from Alexandria who gets to see the sea every day is a bit overrated. One of the finest restaurants in Cairo. Perfect location with a view on the Nile River. Good variety of food and drinks, including the authentic Egyptian cuisine. Prices are very affordable. The only thing I did not like is that when I contacted them to reserve a table, they said that it is full. After 2 min, my Egyptian friend reserved a table for us without any difficulty. Perhaps you should be a bit aggressive to get a reservation, or have an Egyptian friend.

I think it is Very overrated and Overpriced Place, Nile is not Clean So the View is not Very good.

Its hard to beat the view from the restaurant. The service is very good for food, drink, and shisha. With a reservation, they can accomodate a very large group. Their food selection has never disappointed and our group has always left full and happy. If you like shisha, they will mix flavors without a problem and they are very quick to keep your hookah going. If you are visiting, make this a stop. Be warned, parking is tight, but they have attendants to help with that. Reservations are recommended.

Sequoia Restaurant has a beautiful view over the Nile River. Food was great. Service was not bad either, just a bit slow because the restaurant was a bit full. Beautiful scenery - the restaurant is beautiful. It was cold and they closed up a bit and turned on the heater for heat. Friendly & Helpful staff. I like the food in Sequoia and the location is beautiful, but I was really bothered to visit here with a friend and her little baby and she wasnt allowed in for having a baby. The place is already noisy and caters to large groups so babies wound in no way be disruptive. I dont appreciate this type of selective policy, especially not to a mother with a baby!

The place has a beautiful view of the River Nile if you are lucky enough to find an outside table. The food is mediocre, frozen vegetables, powder mashed potatoes, and overcooked meat. The service left little to be desired. They kept rushing us out. The waiter cleared my plate as I finished and rushed my partner ruining his last bites. It is overpriced and overrated.

This place is so big and on the tip of the Zamalek island so the view is incredible. They offer almost everything and yet I cant set foot in that place.Its noisy as hell, always full and the service is garbage. The missing star is for that stupid 200 pounds minimum charge. I hope the owner would read this review and know that this doesnt only turns away the standard of people that you dont want in your restaurant, even so you should accept everyone, but also turns away customers who want to come and enjoy a nice coffee without eating anything while enjoying the view. Beside that everything they do there is amazing from food, service, friendliness, cleanliness and location. I would not suggest this place in Ramadan as they do their food in bulk and it really doesnt taste the same

Ideally located, very popular, could be very hot for lunch outside during very hot days.The menu is focused on middle east kitchen, has a lot of choices, all of which are well executed. The service is speedy and effective. A safe choice to enjoy Cairo and meet the locals.

Very tasty and fast-served menu. Professional customer service from the food waiters. The view is a good one and the crowd is trendy. You have to reserve if you gonna catch a seating with a view. The two hiccups though was one: the lack of vegan options. You expect a restaurant like that to take vegans into consideration. Two: the hookah waiters are always up your nose trying to get you to tip them, and once you do they disappear and never come back to renew the coal.
