The statue of Saad Zaghloul in Raml Station is one of the most famous archaeological statues in Alexandria. Its history dates back to its establishment when the Nahas Pasha government decided in 1930 to ask the artist Mahmoud Mokhtar to sculpt two statues of Saad Zaghloul, one to be placed in Alexandria and the other in Cairo. The artist Mahmoud Mokhtar was at that time in Paris and Indeed, Mahmoud Mukhtar accepted the request and came from Paris and began collecting donations with the government to buy basic materials and the bronze required from Aswan, used in sculpting statues...but unfortunately the government of Nahas Pasha did not last long. Then came the government of Ismail Sidqi, which is the government of the king, and King Farouk wanted to perpetuate Nidal Saad Pasha against the British, so he supported the artist Mahmoud Mokhtar until the sculpting of the statue was completed and he held a huge party in Alexandria and removed the curtain himself in 1935, the statue was placed facing the sea, which symbolizes hope and the breaking of any possible restrictions that were standing in front of it and also on both sides of the marine statue In Upper Egypt, two women were sculpted..the first lady facing the sea, which symbolizes the delta and lower seas, and their support for Saad Zagloul.

The works of Mahmoud Mokhtar are among the immortal works in the history of Egyptian and international art. Mahmoud Mokhtar preceded many world-famous painters in sculpture, and among these rare masterpieces left by this artist is the statue of the late Egyptian leader SaadZaghloul, the leader of the peopleSaad Zaghloul was an Egyptian revolutionary and statesman. He was the leader of Egypts nationalist Waft Party. He served as Prime Minister of Egypt from 26 January 1924 to 24 November 1924Saad Zagloul was born in the village of Abyaneh in the Gharbia Governorate in the Delta, which belongs to the Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate these days. Saad Zaghloul led the National Power Party, the Wafd Party in Egypt, which demanded independence. The British tried to weaken the cause of nationalism by arresting Zagloul, but this was the result of protests, civil disobedience and riots. Saad Zagloul is considered one of the founders of liberalism in Egypt

For a statue erected on the land of the island facing the Qasr al-Nil bridge, which is the artwork that complements the Mahmoud Mukhtar Museum and is not more than two hundred meters away from it. The statue is made of bronze and the base is made of pink granite. The base of the statue consists of four pharaonic columns in the polygonal papyrus style, and on the lower base there are four panels of sculpture cast from bronze, mediating between the columns in their wrapping that the eye sees from every direction. With the shadows it forms, they contribute to what the general form suggests of prestige and majesty and an expression of pride and pride in the heroic and motivated stance.”
