Aisha Fahmy PalaceIt is wonderful that there are such arts in that palace, other than the beautifully carved statues, in addition to those paintings on the walls, they are very beautiful and I loved them because they have an aesthetic touch that we no longer see in those days. What saddens me is that it is a very marginal place, as little is known about it, so I wanted to share with you these wonderful pictures, but forgive me, those pictures are not of sufficient quality, as it is absolutely forbidden to take pictures with the camera, and it is possible to shoot only with the mobile camera and without flash.I hope you enjoy :)
This place is the precise definition of elegance. In the middle of zamalek island, this place offers a spectacular view of the river nile combined with a warm, autumn-y ambiance of the huge garden of the palace. The basement offer a unique experience of the art work collected from all over the world
Ali Fahmy Pasha, brother of Aisha Fahmy, built the palace in the classical style in 1907 by the Italian architect Antonio Lachac. The rooms of the palace are distinguished by the presence of paintings of silk and linen, in addition to the presence of European decorations on the sides of the walls. Paintings, including that of the harpsichordist of Santer
Very elegant palace the visit was organised , each visit last about 20 minutes , inside the palace there is a great collection of paintings belonging to different artists and cultures , and the palace has that fantastic view on the Nile , i really enjoyed my visit and highly recommend this palace , also i think its a Great location for making photo sessions
It is a magical palace. We hanged out there for like 2 hours and it was fantastic. The palace was built in 1917. So the designs and architecture are old and unique. The staff there is polite and helpful. You can ask anyone for information and he will give you accurate details. The palace is opened only when there is a gallery or fair held in it.

Very small, not so much to see except for some lovely painting, which are lovely anyway I visited the palace on the last day Saturday 31 October 2020 ,, so it was very crowded OMG, they would let only 20 people only enter the palace for 15 minutes , all of this due to Coronavirus procedures the funny thing is we were crowded like a sardine tin in the waiting line which defied all the meanings of the procedures 😂 after all it was good i dont regret it because i adore arts
A perfect place for an art lover and antiquities worm!Free entry all days from 9am to 9pm (except Fridays) (ID or passport is required)The palace is of 2 floors, 6 rooms each, equipped with some of the oldest paintings and most remarkable, with some statues tooThe basement too is equipped with some of the finest European paintings and a miniature statue of The Thinker
This palace is totally free to visit. Its used as a art gallery that why its not open all the year. The original owners wanted to sell it back then but the culture ministry managed to take it from them but all the palace furniture was sold in a public auction except a piano which is in the minister office now. Moreover, the palace has a picturesque view as shown in the attached pictures.
A cool place to visit with your friends,it has a wonderful view -its near the Nile river-,astonishing detailed art,and a calm atmosphere that makes you get lost in the beauty of the palace, its a wonderful place to make good memories and take great photos, photography is allowed there but without the flash. Its better if you visited it in the morning as the lighting is so dim if you want to notice more details and take good photos.
Aisha Fahmy Palace was owned by her father Ali basha Fahmy and then given to her after he passed away, although she bought her siblings shares in the palace by 72000 EGP 🤭🤭Designed by Italian architect Antonio Lasciac in a beautiful, classic European style, the palace was built in 1907 they ended it up in 1917 by the Nile River in Zamalek on an area of 2,700 square meters.princess Aisha fahmy was the daughter of the Egyptian aristocrat and army chief of King FuadShe was also the wife of Egyptian actor and director Youssef Wahbi. The two-storey building contains five rooms with various original textile art and European oil paintings. The second floor contains rooms for antiques, along with a Japanese room gifted to Fahmy by the Japanese embassy.🎎🏮The princess’s bedroom, meanwhile, was decorated with shiny gold leaves😍 She also had her own fitting room and a summer room next to the Japanese room. After Fahmys death in 1962, the palace was given to the governmentIn the following year, the palace became the Center of Arts.Opens from 9 am -9 pm everyday except FridayFor free 😁 till 27/3#ThisIsEgypt#ExploreYourCountryFirst#OutingWithLowBudget#JustGo#IKnowPlaces#OldEgypt#IntoMusumes
Woooooooow.. This Palace is a true hidden tressure... Nice view of the Nile... Painting painting painting a lot of painting and all of them of a good quality and shape... No tickets free entry... The only thing you should know that its crowded... Very crowded... You only have 15 minutes to enter the Palace and another 15 minutes for the painting floor.. Dont worry you can enter again after you finish the tour just out of the Palace and enter again at the same timePS.. Dont go at the Holidays.. And they close Fridays
Lovely little palace, well worth a visit. If you really want to enjoy it, bring your own guide (or Wikipedia) about the Egyptian royal family, as explanation could be better or more interesting ( the Egyptian royals were a fascinating set). There are portraits of the kings that really show Egypt in another time when it was more part of a European culture: this invites you to think about places such as Egypt and the many various incarnations: culturally, religiously and socially this powerful nation has had. Make sure also just admire this small palace for its architecture and interior features
No information about opening hours. I tried to call, no one answers the phone. I took my family and we found out it is closed preparing for the expeditionNeed more online clear information! The palace looks amazing from outside and from inside the last time I wentIt is disappointing we couldn’t see it this visit
You got to know the history of this palace and the previous owners along with Aisha Fahmy to really appreciate this magnificent villa on the nile... I hope they keep this place open for the public... I felt Egyptian youth having good time😊👍
The palace is very ordinary , nothing impressive in the place its literally only this paintings glasses and the rest of the palace is empty rooms , the palace looking at the nile and there is chairs you can set with a view of the nile , there is a parking near the palace and it was a good point as the parking in zamalek very difficult .
This place is incredibly awesome, lots of cool views, amazing pictures to be taken there, you enter the place with your ID only, no tickets and no fees, no cameras allowed inside, you keep it out safely with them and you can use your phone camera with no flash on, you can also use your camera in the garden around the museum.
A really nice place if you’re interested in art and portraits
The palace contains great works of modern Egyptian artist Adam Henein. The palace is decorated by paintings that have a European style. Its a beautiful place and the entrance fee is free for everyone, including foreign visitors.
Literally took 2 hours drive to get there and they said its closed and it was even during work period. They closed for no reason and didnt mention it anywhere on their social media
It is a wonderful palace, really takes you to another era, the buildings, the artifacts, the colors, really a great architectural design, loved it very much and definitely wish to visit it again and i will follow up with their page as when it will be open for visitors again as this time will end by the end of this month, go there and grab your camera, youll love every corner in it. Also the nile view is marvelous, but my advice to visit it at the morning to be able to enjoy it more freely. As at the night hours they allow a 15 minute visit inside the palace from inside.
Amazing tour inside this palace, every room contain very distinct design and its garden have a high quality fresh air as it located on the Nile River❤
Beautiful, clean washroom. Also known as Aisha Fahmys Palace. Nice officers and admin.I went again for the second time. I brought my GoPro along to record my journey.. but sadly I can’t bcs video camera is not allowed.Phones are allowed. There is a set of couch. Visitors might sit on them bcs there is no clear signage stated that we are not allowed to.
The structure and decore of the palace are so amazing and well built. Although the art and sculpture inside werent so attractive, but they gave good vibes of some art.
Wonderful placePrincess Aisha Fahmy was the daughter of the Egyptian aristocrat and army chief of King Fuad I, Ali Fahmy. She was also the wife of Egyptian actor and director Youssef Wahbi. The Aisha Fahmy Palace was owned by her father and then given to her after her father passed away, although she bought her siblings shares in the palace. Wahbi lived with her in the palace for many years.Designed by Italian architect Antonio Lasciac in a beautiful, classic European style, the palace was built in 1907 by the Nile River in Zamalek on an area of 2,700 square meters. The two-storey building contains five rooms with various original textile art and European oil paintings. A room originally used for playing billiards and a billiards scoring board was turned into a living room, where the name of Fahmys father has been engraved in the wood. The furniture in the living room doesn’t belong to Fahmy, as the government and curators carefully chose the furniture to match the decorations in the room.
Very beautiful and artistic. As if you were in an enchanted palace looking over the Nile. The architect is just breathtaking and the view is beautiful.
Love it! Its a quaint place, with its very own mini museum for tapestries and unusual textiles. The palace is one of the best places for photos which are thankfully allowed. You have to show some form of identification card o entrance, I had my student ID with me back then. The rooms are so beautiful. My only wish was for someone to explain everything in detail for me there. Every room seems to have a story of its own.Highly recommended!
Absolutely gorgeous, always fascinated by this palace, The amount of effort that went into creating this masterpiece is truly astonishing, i keep losing myself in this place today they had imported paintings from multiple museums that i enjoyed going through each and every one of them, And it overlooking the nile only adds to the magic. Plus its totally free.An important landmark in zamalek without a question.
Been there earlier towards the reopening. The site is an architectural marvel, the rooms, each from a different era or culture, the garden and view amazing. The art pieces on display were then borrowed from other museums and were absolutely fantastic.
I wasted alot of time to go there and found out it was closed for maintenance
Lovely place! You have insights about luxurious life style and go back in time for q while. A beautiful scenery for photos as wellAnnoying only cuz of tons of under age people up there
A very beautiful place but overcrowded on weekends and officials arent very organized. Entrance for free. Beautiful view on the Nile. The museum in the basement has some beautiful paintings as well.
The decorations is beautiful but as described by the palace management it’s not a museum with its own antiques but it’s a showroom or art gallery with beautiful paintings for those interested in art.The staff is friendly as well.
The palaxe was closed on a monday at 1 pm!! Thats a shame. And even three policmen and officers sat in front of it. But the most ruthless thing of all was, that absolutely no exeption could be given. And this is egypt. Merc.😡
Beautiful building in an amazing location. Exhibitions not always well curated but its worth checking out to see whats happening. Make sure you have your id card on you as they request it at the door. Garden space overlooking the nile is nice to chill and take a break from busy streets of Cairo. Not sure if its always open to the public if there is not exhibition happening there.Wouldve been nice to have more information about the building itself and what each room used to be.
Very beautiful palace and lovely garden, with a wonderful view to the busy nile and city. One of the few relaxing places I found in Cairo since there were no sellers. The entry was free and the receptionist was very polite and helpful.
An exquisite vintage building by the Nile, housing a small but breathtakingly beautiful collection of paintings largely by French and Italian masters.Worth a visit for any art lover.
I really loved the palace, every detail in the rooms, ceiling designs every little part of the place is literally a master piece. The painting are so fabulous and breathtaking.. it was i a aplce that i definitely would like to be there again
It is a nice place to visit. The entrance is free. Paintings from different Museums in Cairo are inside the House. The beautiful House facing the Nile is surrounded by a nice Garden.
Fabulous..!Loved on being seen.. Everything is great.. the security officers hospitality, the landscape, the Nile view and every single detail about the palace will definitely charm you..Wonderful for couples, Architects and any one who seeks beauty and heritage.
