Very nice place to visit near Fayoum. It improved a lot recently with having water and electricity. You can start a nice desert adventure from there.

I used to come to Zowara since 2015 every year min. 1 time. It used to be my fafourite place in egypt. After not beeing there for the corona-time i came back and was honestly disappointed. The view and landscape are still breathtaking, but the camp has changed a lot. It was the first year ever, that I saw the owner hany there and I wish I would have not. He is super unfriendly, rude and gives you the feeling that you are not welcome. The accomondations also changed, the tents are small and hot now, some weird stuff was build as decorations , I guess to make it more available for instagram-shots. The food still was tasty. Overall I am not planning to come again

I had one of the worst nights I’ve ever spent in fayoum and/or the desert. I couldn’t sleep at all. With house music blasting from the late afternoon until 3am although we told the owner we need to relax, he did nothing. We were not informed of a party and did not expect those kind of speakers and music in the desert.The space is lovely. The food is amazing and plentiful. The staff is friendly. Amazing views and we went for long scenic walks.I won’t spend the night there again even if I go for activities.I don’t recommend the place for people who want to be in the silence of the desert because it won’t be guaranteed. I would recommend it more to large groups looking to party.

Wonderful experience. The place is super clean. Food was great. Staff friendly. If you are looking for the desert experience with convenience then this is the place to visit.

Guy seemed to try to rip us off (gave us one price and then asked for another) thinking we were foreigners (considering the food was only potatoes, chicken and salad) but the atmosphere of the place is nice and it may be a nice play to stay if they improved their service.The place is not easy to find and phone connection near the area is not good. Thats also a con they need to take care of.

Quiet and peaceful place, food is average, you can stay at their huts or camping in your own tent. Prices are very reasonable. The best thing about the place is that it is very close to the desert and if you have a 4x4 you can stay their overnight, have your breakfast in the morning then hit the dunes.

I really loved this campsite. There is a lot to do and it is the real desert life experience. I highly recommend this place.

Stayed there overnight during a 4x4 course. Relaxing and simple place. Very knowledgeable host.Tent was big and easily accommodated our party of 6. Dinner and breakfast were on time and tasted delicious. Bathrooms clean, with running water. Looking forward to my next stay there.

It was a very terrible experience , we have booked a hut for 2 nights and the booking was confirmed with the owner and on our first day the guy who was responsible for the place kept knocking our door asking us to leave as we have booked one night only, and the new guests are waiting outside for us to leave the room , we showed him that we have booked 2 nights and we have no other place to go and we tried to contact the place owner and he didnt answer us, we chose to leave anyway as we have been very disappointed from that experience and he decided never to come back. Very poor management and unpleasant place to go with lost of insects and dirty bathrooms

Zowara Ecolodge is a beautiful, magical place to chill and enjoy the peace of the desert. IIts very basic but rooms were really cosy, considering the fact that floor of the lodges is the sand itself. Food was delcious!!I strongly recommend mosquito repellent for the night, it can be very warm in the rooms at night and you might want to keep the door open. You can also sleep outsinde under the sky but then mosquito repellent is mandatory if you dont want to be eaten up. I didnt see any insects in the matresses, thats nonsense. We just saw a handfull of ants, a bug, a cat and some pigeons - all outside the lodges. Highly recommendable place!

DISRESPECTFUL OWNERi ve been to this place twice, the first time was great and only stayed one night, second time the owner was there, worst experience ever. He treated us in a very rude way and he wanted to rip us by taking more money. He was hosting a new years event and we told him before we arrive to the camp that we have no interest in taking part of that, but after two days of stay he said that we MUST attend it and pay 500 just to eat a worthless dinner. We refused so he said that we have to leave or pay.He has very negative vibes, very rude attitude and he has anger management issues, and he flips really quickly. He just cares about money and thats it.I used to like the camp itself but with this kind of hospitality and owner i don’t recommend this place at all and am never going there again

Lovely Ecco lodge, you can stop here to rest for sometime during your visit to the area and have tea or soft drink and freshen up. They have bathrooms and shower rooms. The place is clean and tidy. You might also spend the night there, they have few rooms available. At night you can enjoy a spectacular view of the stars as there is no light pollution in the area. During the day there isnt much to see around you thats why I give it only 4 stars as its not a destination by itself

The place is cozy, could be taken as a hub and a start point to many other destinations in Fayoum. Its eco-friendly, has many stone huts and is suitable for desert activities.

It is nice place , quite , I went there and i had amazing astronomy photos for Milky way , it is close to wadi elryan and qaron lake , its good place to relax

So nice placeit gives you the chance to stay in the pure beautiful natural reserve while enjoying both of celestial and terrestrial amazing views

A very nice place with great potential, however the mattresses had tiny insects it was annoying and disgusting!

There you can meditate and have a lovely day with friends or familyAlso you can stay for a few days there with a friendly and helpfull stuff

If you are going to an offroad its a nice place to gather before heading off

Its a very nice place, but suffered from insects bites as the matresses were packed with lots and lots of insects .
