Hotel officials are super nice and friendly. But the hotel itself needs an overall retouch. Bathrooms need to be renovated. AC is old. TVs are old. The bar at the beach, very old. The beach beds are also very very old, with torn and worn-out mattresses. The owner should really put in some money to renovate the hotel

Grand Hotel is terrible dirty and requires a general renovation. Rooms arent cleaned and there is no hot water. Food is always the same and testeless. Queues of russians everywhere. Plates are dirty also! No decent Coffee or juices. No snacks. Poor animations. Its even hard to find a bed by the sea at 6 am!The only good things to write here are nice reef and a lot of trees and green areas around the buildings. To conclude: I do not recommend. And please do not answer that its not a common experience of your guests because it is!

Over 50% of the advertised bars and restaurants were not open. The only bar option was a loud bar full of Russian and Ukrainians, it was like being on holiday in an Eastern bloc country, we witnessed fights to fire between them!!Every Seaview room had pigeons in the ventilation shaft, we had paid extra for a Seaview room, but didnt expect to share the accommodation!!The staff were all but one absolutely excellent 👏 Ali Ahmed our room cleaner was so good, Bassam had been the bar manager of The Reef bar, but as that was not open had been demoted to clearing tables in the Reef buffet, what a waste of his talents.If this hotel wants to attract British visitors it will have to up its standard a huge amount, we will not be returning@

The service is quite good, but the rooms are old, the refrigerator in our 834 room didn’t work and the handle of the toilet door fell off. The territory is large, it takes about 10 minutes to walk from the beginning of the hotel to the sea, but there are many steps and all pools are shallow. The food is excellent, every day isn’t the same, there is a choice. Wi-Fi in hall doesn’t work. Riff is one of the best in Sharm, people in the sea are very closely watched. It’s good

Not 5* its more like 2/3* was really disappointed room was small, wasnt cleaned properly, door handle broke Aircon wasnt working and no extra toilet roll even then it was flimsy. Staff are nice but we had to keep asking to get room cleaned 🤦🏽‍♀️Overall redsea who said this was 5* did manage to move us to family room and its was ok managed to enjoy our holiday.

These were advertised but not actually available. Mediterranean, Caribbean, Thai and Indian restaurants. Lobby, roof, Reef and pool bars. Pannini and ice cream area, sweet and crepes area. We were about the only English there amongst hundreds of Russian and Ukrainian visitors. The one and only area in the evening was the crowded and noisy bar where people seemed intent on how much they could drink. You had to queue up to half an hour to get into the poor buffet restaurant and they constantly ran out of crockery and cutlery. Hot drinks had to be taken in wafer thin plastic cups which were almost impossible to hold. I defy anyone from the hotel or Redsea Holidays to tell me this wa not so.

Very few English people here, not catered for, foodwise or entertainment. Rooms basic, only egyption tv to watch. Staff ok. No beach, just a jetty into the sea. Site neglected. Needs updating.. wouldnt go again.mosquitos bite.!!!!

I spent 2 weeks at the hotel from August 27th. I am maximally satisfied with everything. This is my second time at the hotel. Were going back in November now. We got a very nice room with sea view. Cleaning was excellent, the food was very good for us too. There was a wide variety of food, you could always find something that was right. The staff is very kind and helpful. I highlight the animator boys. 👌The best. Without them, the hotel would be boring. They have a very good atmosphere both on the beach and in the hotel. Dear smart guys. All thanks to them. We love Sharm el sheik. We love the Grand Hotel.❤️❤️❤️

Satisfactory. Before you check in , youd better pay tips to get a better accommodation. At my first dinner, there is no fruit which is too bad for 5 stars hotel , the rest is good, sea, weather... A hotel itself is a bit shabby. Needs renovation.

Room dirty when we arrived and lacking inbasic requirements - water,glasses/cups,towels,soap/shampoocomplaints via our rep had the room sorted within 24 hours however the hotel needed to be completely revamped and if it was not for a number of helpful staff(not management) the place would be a disaster- no way above 3 star status

Super Grand Paradise, nice sea view panoramic. Very beautiful sunshines, the best on the Planet. Very big and green teritory with incredible panoramic infinity sweemingpools. Good and tasty restaurants a la cart, one time at week is possible to go to each of them -is 5 restaurants! in summer by virus was open 3 from 5, is super comphortable.i love higth quality of fresh sea food, so Seafood Paradise restaurant Fares is very close to the hotel about 15 minuts by wolking to il Mercato direction or few minuts by taxi by 1 dolar, is not problem.if possible better to book Junior Suite with sea view, is renovated good rooms.we with my friends are very happy to come back 4 times to Grand hotel Sharm, and winter is very soon we also will come back to our winter Paradise.we will remember this mine Happy Birthday party and week and good organization_ will remember for all life, it was really happy week.thank you very muchhave a great day!

Empty hotel, dies slowly. Some people of personnel are really nice but thats the only star of five. Dont recommend. Absolutely not for family with kids. Food is so poor that made me wanna cry. Almost everything what can be broken in the room is broken or damaged. Despite all negative experience the beach and the sea are amazing.

Really good hotel! The staff are very friendly and cant do enough to help. Theyre are also English customer care staff that make sure your holiday is perfect.Food choice is good; some better than others.The layout of the premises, although tiered, is sensible.Snorkeling of the jetty is amazing and dont forget that although the pools in winter might be freezing cold, the sea is always warm!Overall, a really good stay.

The only reason it as got 3 is because of the amazing hotel grounds, lots of space around pools, the pool man at the relax pool was great, he set our beds up everyday and brought drinks to us throughout the day ( except when the beer ran out, that was everyday between 11.45 and 3.30, we didn’t drink anything else because it was terrible, The vodka my husband actually had to spit out it was like paint stripper, the soft drinks were always warm and from a large bottle, so a lot of the time flat) As for the food I wouldn’t even give it a 2* it was not nice at all, we went to the Thai restaurant now that was good 5*, the Mexican 2*, the Lebanese 3*, the mafia 3* and the fusion 2*. ( our opinion only) The room was nice we were given a suite overlooking the pool and sea. We paid €15 to have tea and coffee making facility’s in our room, ( they filled up daily) well worth it. The fridge was nice in the room because we went to the shops and filled it with drinks ( because of the reasons said above). Not a lot of English people their 😢, mostly Eastern European ( a lot of them very rude). All in all the only reason I wouldn’t go back to this hotel is simply the food, I think a lot needs to be done about it.

Room is dirty and old with no renovation at all.but people says that there are a lot of other rooms in much better condition.mine was bigger than the normal one because of extra guest, and is was impossible to change it to renovated one with the same size. some rooms are currently under construction so maybe situation will be betterfood is very good.hotel territory is huge, beautiful, well maintained and has lot of amenities.hotel coastline is great. reef is alive, beautiful and has a lot of sea fauna.i was amazed.staff is friendly, had no issues with them. sometimes they insist on tipping but this is normal for Egypt. )

The grounds of this hotel are stunning. Its a bit dated in some rooms but this does not spoil your stay. Lots of steps so not suitable for children. We are first Brits back an sure things will change for the better. Would definitely return now.

Good Hotel with excellent ManagementWe enjoy our stay here. There is always sunshine and an excellent staff that fulfill us all wishes. We did have a minor incident in the restaurant which was immediately resolved by the management. Overall a great place to stay, relax and do all sorts of activities , especially diving and swimming.

I would avoid this hotel (and all other hotels operated by Red Sea Hotels from what I heard)This hotel might have earned 5 stars in the past, but not any longer. I might give 2 stars. Stayed for a week over new years 2019/2020.Food:The new years dinner was great, and the evening food options are alright in 2-3 of the 7 restaurants. You need to reserve a table a day in advance though. But, and this is a big but - the breakfast and lunch options as well as the quality of the drinks provided are really bad. A very far shot even from what I am used to in normal restaurants, let alone what a 5 star place should offer. It seemed that all restaurants basically only offered the same dishes with different names. Also note that the cheese was always the same on all dishes. No fruits and only orange drink instead of orange juice. Super cheap alcohol. Example picture of the oriental burger below.Service:Some of the staff are really really friendly and commited. Unfortunately we had the feeling that the majority seemed indifferent and not concerned with customer service.Not sure if others find this disturbing, but the massage and wellness staff was constantly trying to sell us their great deals. I personally find that annoying. I dont want to have to fend off people, I just want to relax or read a book.Cleanliness:This is where staff was really lacking and where my indifferent description comes from. Toilets were always dirty, often missing the essentials like toilet paper or soap.Rooms were tidy, but not in the best shape. A door knob was loose and broke, the water kept running in the toilet...Wifi:there is no wifi in the rooms. There is only wifi in the lobby and it is so slow, that I couldnt even send out new years geatings via WhatsApp. After the third day, we didnt even bother trying to connect.

Not a 5 star hotel *by far*. Probably closest to a 2 star hotel by western standards. That said, here are some pros and cons listed below.*CONS*- Every room Ive been in either smelled like sewage or mold.- Our room was basically falling apart; I couldnt count the places it had been worn to a mess over time.- One of the rooms had a faulty toilet (the residents werent able to flush), and the repair took about 3 tried over 3 days to fix it. Another room had problems with the shower (it wouldnt drain; sewege water was coming up and flooded the rooms), which took 4 days to fix. On both occasions, getting another room seemed to be out of the question.- With the exception of the Sharm and the Reef, every restaurant had a _very_ limited selection with food which could only be compared to an alleyway kebab dealer in a bad eastern-european neighborhood.- The drinks are herrendous. Asking for a Gin and Tonic will result in recieving a glass of warm 7up mixed with some brandy and no ice. And dont even try asking for a large beer.- As I didnt have any change on me, I didnt tip the lobby boy (who by the way did a terrible job), the result of which he gave me what we since then call the Egyptian death stare. This has been given to me several times by other members of the staff.- Should you arrive with the help of a travel agency, do not chose to pay for any trip they offer (desert quading, Ras Mohamed diving, trip to Kairo), as the very same options are available in the very first travel agency right outside the hotel. (Look for Alladin next to the Bassem Market.)*PROS*- The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. Walking between the houses and arriving to the beach is an experience in itself.- The pools are beautiful.- Taking a dive in the coral reef is just amazing. Despite having only a very small swimming area in the Red Sea, the vast wealth on natural spectacle makes more than up for it. Not a day goes by without discovering something new. That said, you should still visit Ras Mohamad! (Again: look for Alladins agency.)- Staff members Ive met while walking through the hotel territory or being on the beach were very friendly, asking me how I was and giving me high fives.- The animators did a really good job. Yoga, volleyball, music quiz and bocce were really fun.Overall, my disappointment mostly stems from the fact that we were promised a 5 star service. On the other hand, many negative reviews also mention that this behavior is not typical for other hotels of the chain.

AWOID THIS HOTEL!This is my third time in Egypt, second in Red sea hotels and first in Sharm. I can honestly say that I am very disappointed almost angry about whole stay in Grand Hotel Sharm El Sheikh. This hotel is far, far, far away from five stars that they have and are being advertised. The first look when you came in hotel (which is BTW not a hotel but an receptions with lots of separated building with rooms inside) is promising and walk thru premises as well. On outside it was clean and (average) maintained. But we are talking here about whole experience and that deserves only one star on google maps and maybe three Egyptian hotel stars (I went to Egypt knowing that there is a big difference between their five stars hotel and European ones).Stuff: disaster. Service: disaster. Location: bad.BTW:The room was awful! Dirty and damaged walls, walls cracked. Mostly in the morning, we were without running water after in came back in smells terrible. Dirty curtains. Every night there were cockroaches in the room. Etc.All in all really big disappointment – money thrown away.

People, be really ready to the absence of WIFI and other internet connection. 3G/4G is disaster through the territory.Condition of the room is maximum 3+ stars.Client services available, reaction of the staff is good. Kitchen is pretty nice. No worries about spices and salt, numbers are reasonable.Service on the territory of the Grand hotel is good.Staff is friendly and helpful.All was fine up to stiling from the safe of our Friends at last Day.And mosquitoes billions of them.

The hotel was stunning. The only drawback was endless steps. If you have a problem with walking and steps this would course problems.All the staff were so welcoming and couldnt do enough for us.The food was so good. There were restaurants which you could book for your evening meals as well as the buffet restaurant.Nicky - the Redsea rep was outstanding. She always had smile on her face. No problem was to big for her to deal with.Hamdy F.B - Terrace bar.He served us our drinks and was extremely friendly and professional.Mohammed - looked after the toilets and swept the Terrace bar floor.He was a joy to talk to. He likes to make flower posies for the ladies. 😊Ahmed Rec - always sorted out our sunbeds, with a smile.He looked after us, getting us drinks.Mahmoud - jewellery shop in the hotel.When I bought a charm, he made sure that I was happy with the final price.He has so many things to choose from.The Egyptians were so pleased that the British people are going back after a five year absence.As a group we all had a fantastic holiday.😊

Very beautiful, green, cozy territory. It looks like a park with palm trees. The rooms are a bit outdated and dilapidated. The food is normal, not super, but you not will be hungry. Alcoholic beverages are disgusting. You can drink only tea and coffee. There is an exit to the coral reef.

We have just spent a week here which was basically good.Four stars only because of their expectations management it would be more decent call this a 3 or max a 4 star hotel rather, and for thise who expect a five star hotel it could be dissapointing. Other than that it was good. In detail:Location wise it is a bit fae from the airport but that is ok took app 30-40mins to ger here. If you want to go out shopping Naama bay is quite close 5 min by car. Theee is a lot of fake designer bag, and fake watch shops but you can find more traditional shops there as well.The hotel has two beaches but one was under constriction. Other is good covered with sand and equiped with sunbeds unbrella and so on. You can approach the rocky sea only by one stepps which is usually busy. The sea is beautiful with corals and fish.To my surprise the food was good in the hotel. Last time I visited Egypt it was not the case. The hotel has a plenty of restaurants amongst them thai, mexican, libanese, italian etc. We were visited most and they are good.Staff is ok, they work very hard from dust till dawn and since the guests mostly all inclusive they have very few chance to have a tip. Considering this they are good.

Management was disagreeable. The staff was kind and wonderful but I cant say enough negative things against the reception desk management. I traveled all over Egypt by myself and didnt have a single ounc of trouble with any hotel, airline, train, taxi, guides, or police until my stay with these people. One person is allowed to stay until an hour before your flight and another has to check out of a half empty resort at noon. The manager obviously want trained in nuances and customer service.

Good place bad staff. First they will give you an awful apartment with sigatettes burned blankets unless you will pay extra or get angry, then you will get something better. Still no way its a 5 star hotel. Oh, and forget about WiFi, its only in one place in the lobby and it works poorly as well. Sorry, but its true.

Miserable place!One star for the location.The rooms are awful, everything is dirty and broken.Even the waiters are wearing dirty clothes.Just the location is OK.The hotel should be rated no more than 2 stars.I dont know from where the good reviews?!I think payed peoples are working hard to write liar reviews.

Nice hotel, but there is a huge problem with room cleaning.Helpful staff, huge green territory, many swimming pools and cafés, delicious food, good animation and activities. We had a good rest, but next time we will choose another hotel.

Bad to no wifi. Only one key card per two people in the room! No free sockets in the age old room, at least it was possible to unplug tv and lamp. No soap for the length of the stay, had to use shower cream instead. Asked twice. Funny that theres a memo about plastic pollution. But then the only way to get water is via .5l bottles. Barely a dispenser in sight (sometimes during meals), though they had one for HOT water and milk there everytime. Great food eatwhatyouwant eight hrs a day. No oil or little of it by my measure - good. But no marking as to whats vegan as sometimes theres little indication of what the dish consists of.

I am a journalist. My friends were there three weeks ago. They gave me much information about job in this hotel. Because in the internet there is much information about how employees uses people. Thry made people who vome frim Europe to work 30 hours daily. Do I sm going to send human rights verification delegation. Because animation team had very hard timetable.Thry wirk without any salary two weeks. There is a word power about job. Yes, ther is a practice but nit working day for 20 hiurs free. Do I ask everyone in this hotel give tips to staff and specially to animation team. They are young , thry csme to wirk. They eork without salary snd eithout sleeping.Do I think it will be very interesting TV show
