What a wonderful place to learn SCUBA diving. The team was always super friendly, the equipment well maintained and in top shape. Every appointment made started on time. The house reefs are breath taking (please dont take that literally) 😂. We will come back for sure, no better place to learn SCUBA diving.

We had a wonderful experience at Orca Dive Club. Everyone was friendly and the organisation is very good also. We were lucky to dive there during their 30th Birthday Event. The team of the Orca soma bay is amazing.Professional, friendly, flexible, stress free, helpful without compromising with the safety.The equipment is well maintained and the dive sites they take you are worth visiting. My wife and I had a really good experience with Orca Dive club. Their dive shop is well designed, with changing rooms, showers, equipment wash stations, gear storage, and personal storage. We dove at the house reef, which is a short drive on a pier. So easy! I will definitely dive with them again.

Perfect Experience!I was on Soma Bay in Feb 19 and learned diving at the Orca Dive Club. An awesome experience! Very friendly and easy-going people in the club admin, the bar/restaurant and the diving support. The greatest compliment goes to my diving instructor Fausi though! Couldnt imagine a better instruction than him. Focus on safety, well understandable explanations in EN and DE and step-by-step proceeding down to 12m debth :).To be recommended, I will come again.

Awesome nice dive with a nice house reef. They also ofer boat trips to more remote dive sites with a very comfy boat. Staff is very friendly. A friend made his OWD there and was very satisfied.Clients are mostly Germans and Swiss and some Egyptians. Many clients are repeaters, the management is focussing long-term-quality. Very laid back athmosphere while diving and after diving they have a nice bar to enjoy your after-dive-drink. Cant wait to come back.

I have been able to enjoy the service of the Orca Dive Club several times since my stay at the Breakers and can only say positive things here. The equipment is in good condition and of good quality. The staff are very courteous, always helpful and friendly. Transportation from the Orca Dive Club to the in-house reef (no waiting) is done by electric car.In the entrance area there is a notice board with the relevant excursion destinations (boat tours - full day or half day) to the nearby coral reefs 🐠🐡🐙, in which one can register accordingly (is already possible for several days in advance).I would like to take this opportunity to thank for the first-class all-round service of this diving club and recommend this diving club very much 👍🙋♀️👍.

We stayed at the Breakers for a week and took the opportunity to go diving as the dive center is right by the hotel. The front desk was very friendly and all very helpful. We did a refresh course at Aid. He was very friendly and competent. And also between people I appreciate him very much! Mirko a German instructor with a very special sense of humor showed us the complete dive center and accompanied and during a dive at the house reef. He is always approachable for questions !!! If there are any questions everyone is so incredibly helpful and in case of doubt, not recommended by many a tour by boat. This shows that it is not just about making money, but about the safety of each one. I must emphasize Youssef !! We had him several times as a guide and were always 100% satisfied. With eagle eyes he is watching his group, as well as the ocean and points to the one or other fish that you would never have seen without him! We felt extremely safe at all times and deep in his company. A dive center lives from such employees! We will come back under warranty next year !!!

Soma Bay has a good infrastructure and wonderful diving spots.Unfortunately, compared to previous visits when we were able to share the positive reviews of others, the base has dropped a lot:To a large extent, unmotivated guides and employees and, above all, rental equipment in really bad condition (e.g. leaky inflator connection on the jacket, shabby regulators), which was then secretly exchanged.References to this were met with a merely shrug, the services were billed in full.Its a shame, we used to feel very comfortable there, but will now visit other diving centers.

We took part in the freediving course (Level 1) with Michael. All in all, we really enjoyed the course, especially the support from Michael above and below sea level. He impresses with his commitment, empathic support, professionalism and, last but not least, his (albeit dry) sense of humor :-)

Friendly, super organized diving school with great staff (also German speaking) and good equipment at a reasonable price. It is advisable to book at least one thing in advance, as you can get the cheap online price on everything else. Spontaneous changes on site and rebooking can be done flexibly. Boats for tours very good, also short trips with the Skodiak / loop boat are highly recommended. House reef right in front of the diving school for diving and snorkeling.

As always, the top spot in SafagaA super safe value even in corona times!I almost felt more comfortable than in Switzerland!Anytime and again!

I was from October 20th. until October 27th at the Robinson Club and signed up for diving here during my vacation. The equipment is excellent, the people are all super nice and friendly. (Particularly big praise to the girls from the front desk - bring them some speculoos biscuits with you on your next vacation :))An absolutely great house reef and in contrast to a previous review I can only make the statement that experienced divers are allowed to go to the house reef with Buddy alone.The base manager Mirko is always in a friendly mood, helpful and ready to have a good chat.The only small drawback:The Breakers was extremely full, which is why it was often bustling in front of people at the diving school. The chill dive atmosphere that I usually loved so much was missing from time to time.

First class. I decided to do a 2 day scuba course and I was absolutely thrilled. I can not imagine a more beautiful place to learn to dive, I have snorkeled a lot in the world: Australia, Caribbean, Maldives Mauritius. There was never enough time for a diving license. For me it was all new territory and interesting to see how a diving operation works in practice. The combination of Breakers Hotel and ORCA diving center is simply unbeatable on all levels !! Everything so close together and not overcrowded. There were two of us in the course in early February. Beautiful house reef! Really very lively and intact. You have to accept long journeys by plane and boat elsewhere or spend a lot of money to find such an intact reefThe diving school rounds off the picture and turns the whole thing into an absolute diving experience. The diving center is under German-speaking management. You can feel it. Everything here is first class and perfectly organized.Safety, structure and order as well as nature and reef protection have top priority here. From administration to certification. Nothing is left to chance here. Everything has its order and place here. All employees are always approachable and motivated and friendly. The atmosphere and tone are personal, relaxed and relaxed. This promotes trust and gives security. .The service on the base is excellent. All the equipment is loaded by the crews and transported by caddy across the jetty to the house reef. At the entrance and exit there is always someone from the crew who will help you put on your equipment or take your fins and material off again. You cant get more service and helpfulness. As a beginner, I always felt comfortable and, above all, very safe and in good hands and will be back for an OWD upgrade in October.

In my opinion, a dive center depends on the workforce. I take it for granted that the diving operation works well and that is also the case with this Orca base. The base was a bit too big for me. Unfortunately, my first contact with one of the employees was distant and instructive. I didnt feel welcome, but rather annoying. But that was apparently only due to the lady in question, because in the further course I was treated kindly by other employees.

Top organized dive center. The boat dives u.a. Salem Express was a dream. The food was excellent. The briefings are very detailed. Unfortunately, I can not give 5 stars, because the lady at the front desk was very unprofessional. Unfortunately, my friends bill turned up at the hotel, although I said several times she should write it on my bill. Even statements like Its early in the morning are anything but fitting. About all other employees let write a novel, positive nature is understood.

Dive center under new managementSince March, the dive center is under new management. We arrived with 5 experienced divers to dive here. After initial communication difficulties and a clarifying conversation with the base manager, everything was settled to complete satisfaction. We did Early Morning Dives at 5.30 pm Egyptian time - night dives at 5.30 pm Egyptian time. The base was also very flexible with the Zodiac exits.We brought our own equipment but could see that the rental equipment was in top condition and is maintained professionally. Friendliness with the crew and the guides was mostly available.Diving is really fun here and we have already booked the next vacation here. Also, many other members of our diving club will come here. Thumbs up for this base.

Last year we did our OWD at ORCA in Soma Bay and this year we added the Nitrox and AOWD. We (7 divers) visited the Breakers Hotel for the first time between October 10th and 17th, 2015 and dived at the diving center Orca Soma Bay.Everything started well and went well except for one incident:We have an early morning dive scheduled (at 6:00 clock) and announced the night before; the next morning we were just before 6:00 clock in front of the closed dive center and had to wait over 35 minutes until the first employee showed up and opened the dive center. It quickly turned out that our dive or the agreed date was not forwarded; that disappointed us and the anticipation was already significantly clouded ...In our direct complaint to the base manager Bram, he said: ah ... already happened again, ... I will talk to the staff and disappeared ... This reaction we found weak and unsatisfactory. We waited until he spoke with his staff and investigated the case and thought that he would communicate feedback to us in the form of an opinion, an explanation or even in the best case of an apology ...Until the last day of our vacation we received no feedback from Bram, in whatever form, which we very much regret.Conclusion: we had to realize that Bram has a very strange concept of customer orientation !!!Despite everything and fair, we can only give the greatest compliment to all instructors and the base and boat crew for their kindness and helpfulness unanimously. A special thank you to Ahmed Farouk for his extraordinary helpfulness.

Jétais le seul non-germanique dans un groupe de 20+ plongeurs et les briefings étaient donnés en allemand. Premier briefing traduit en anglais à la hâte. Deuxième briefing non traduit.Check dive nécessaire au House Reef avant une sortie bateau. Bateau luxueux mais très lent.
