We took 5-day kite-surfing classes and they exceeded our expectations. We managed to ride quite independently after only 4 days!There is a great vibe at this kite school, staff are very friendly and helpful and the kitesurf instructors make sure to explain everything, demonstrate how its done and follow-up and motivate you when youre struggling. Also, the kite spot is amazing, being at a lagoon where there is room for beginners and free riders. Free riders can regularly do a downwinder back to the kite school, taking about 30-45 minutes.Would defintely recommend!

Such a chilled out, organised friendly team. Great coaching - they got me jumping way higher with lots more control. The spot is next to a sandbar so super flat jumping into deeper water with clean wind. Consistently a few knots above gouna, and exponentially less people. Often in single figures whilst the other local schoolsstay nearer into the bay. Every morning you arrive at the centre, grab an espresso and take the RIB upwind. High season there is a bigger dive boat to chill on. Every day ends in a 7km downwinder that would cost you 60 Euro in gouna. They fixed a small tear in my kite for free. And an amazing home cooked Egyptian lunch for 2 euros. Oh and a nice dog. Come here.

Ramy, Julie and the whole crew includung all the other fun kitesurfers made this vacation unforgettable. A refresher course with the professional instructor Machmud made me handle the kite quickly. I could even join the downwinder and was able to do little jumps in the end. If we werent on the board we played volleyball, did snorkeling, went on the SUP or chilled at the beach. Ramy and Julie organize BBQs or other events in the evening, so a lot of fun is waiting for you!

No need to look further, 100% recommended! We went kiting with the Hawa Safaga team for a week and we had an amazing time. The kite spot, the equipment, the organisation, the team... - its all on point. Thank you Julie, Ramy, Max and the whole team :) we will be back for sure!

Wow, what an amazing time at the Hawa Safaga Kite School!The kite spot is in Soma Bay where we went with the big kite boat. There we took the zodiacs to go to a small platform in the middle of the bay surrounded by turquoise water. It was a new experience to start not from land but in the water which was a bit more complicated for me. But the team from the school helped everyone with that (even those who came with own material) and they prepared the kites. There is a lot of shallow water were you can start the kite and there is enough space for everyone. In november we had not the best wind conditions and as a not experienced free rider I struggled a lot on the water. The guys were there and rescued me more than once with the zodiac.When the wind conditions were too bad we went to another place with the big kite boat where we could do snorkeling, wakeboarding, rayboarding or just relax on the upper deck of the boat. On the boat the food was brilliant, for sure the best food in the whole week in egypt. The whole experience on the boat was fantastic. Usually if there is bad wind conditions I get frustrated but this time not at all as they made it to a fun event :-)Althought the spot and the area is great.. what we liked the most was the atmosphere at the kite scholl and at the boat and the people we met there, especially Julie and Ramy, the owners of the school, who are the warmest people you can imagine. We spend a lot of time there and even at night we gathered together in a big group, had dinner and laughed a lot.Thank you guys! You made us smile a lot! Fantastic job!

This place never seizes to amaze! This was not my first time there and will definitely not be the last. The owners, the staff, the weather, the spot are all absolutely fantastic! A great choice if you would like to kite surf or wind surf in Safaga and Soma Bay. Awesome helpful crew, the center well equipped, and the location is amazing 5 mins from city of Safaga and 30 mins away from Hurghada airport inside menaville hotel.

We stayed with Julie and Ramy in March, it was a really nice time. We have been received very family. The team was really nice and always helpful. The kitespot was fantastic. It is suitable for beginners as well as for experts and professionals. For experienced kiters, there is even a kiting track that you can drive back to the station. Taking a boat to the kitespot in the morning was totally relaxing. The lunch on board was super mega delicious (a compliment to the chef). In the kite breaks you could relax on board (there was even a hammock to rest). If there was no wind for one day, the hawa team came up with something. For example, we went snorkeling or played beach volleyball against the kite instructors. In the evening we are several times with the locals what to eat or what to drink in town. These were very nice and sociable evenings. All in all a great holiday gladly again.Greetings Steffen and Janine

In October we were guests of Julie, Ramy, and Jaida - my boyfriend even for the second time.The spot in Soma Bay is fantastically beautiful and perfect for beginners like me as well as for more experienced kiters like my companion. The Hawa Safaga team is passionate about what they do, as you can see in the on-site support and during the course.Group activities were offered several times a week, in which one could get to know the team and the other guests better.All in all a perfect vacation - we are looking forward to our next visit! :)

Where is the best place to start :-)Hawa Safaga is an absolutely professional kite and windsurfing station with access to the most beautiful surf spot Soma Bay in Egypt. We had the opportunity to get to know the Hawa team and their kitesurfing offers over several weeks. In our case a surf and chill package which includes a kite course with subsequent equipment rental. Price-performance absolutely top! In kitesurfing lessons, the group size is limited to a maximum of 2 people per kite instructor. That means that you have a private trainer or semi-private trainer with you at all times. This concept is great and of course helps with learning success. If there was no wind, we were allowed to try the SUPs or snorkel on the hotels own reef. The team speaks German, English, Arabic, I also mean French. Very multi-cultural and super nice!We are looking forward to the next time!Until then

Hawa Safaga, these are great people, top teachers, a great spot - what a relaxed and beautiful holiday that was! As a beginner, we have found a really great introduction to this sport. With the kite boat or the Zodiacs it goes in appropriate wind (which is often the case in early November) in a very large shallow water area, where you can practice regardless of the tides. The whole team is very helpful, there is a lot of emphasis on safety. Top Equipment! Thank you, Julie & Ramy, we will be back!

We recommend! A great kite school. I was there in February and despite the not-so-good wind and my complete ignorance of kiting, I was taught very well. Everyone is very nice, helpful and the teachers are very good. The spot was also just a dream. And if the wind wasnt good enough for kiting, the station offers enough opportunities to keep yourself busy.I liked it very much. I was well received and felt really good from the start.Thank you dear Julie and Ramy!

We recommend! The whole team is very friendly and helpful. I felt at ease all the time!For windsurfers there is a private stretch of beach where you can start well. Once outside you do not want to leave the board :) The station has numerous boards and sails that you can change as needed.Also traveling alone you can always find a partner or can play with Max (the station dog) Thank you for the great time. Super nice team .. Hawa is a whole station with very organized equipment and the opportunity after kiting or snorkeling to shower and relax .. highly recommended ..With a ship (about 10m long), it is about 30 minutes to the actual spot .. on this ship, things stay dry and on it there are also very delicious local food.The ship anchors about 1 km before the actual spot and also on it you can shower with fresh water ..Because then it goes with small motor boats to a platform in shallow water ..The kites are built in the water on the spot and now everyone can drive their fortune without sanding things on the beach.In the morning and in the afternoon you can kite and in between, it goes to the dry ship with lunch and relaxation.If there is no wind, the ship goes to snorkeling sites ..Not to forget .. for very active can be played even in the evening volleyball .. I have not listed all .. just look for yourself ..Everything was very well organized .. and very family .. 👍😀

Kitesurf school where we feel welcome. Julie (who speaks several languages) and Ramy are serious and very professional! We go in the morning on the kite boat spot and it is very convenient and nice to have lunch on the boat at noon. When the wind drops around 13h, the boat will take you to different snorkeling spots. The instructors are really there to help you progress; the equipment is in good condition and there are enough sizes of sail to navigate a very nice spot safely. I recommend!Emmanuel F - May 2019

The hammer!We did a kite course over seven days here and are absolutely thrilled!The team:Very young dedicated crew. We felt very welcome here. In addition to kitesurfing, many activities have been planned, such as trips to Safaga or to bars in the area. So we were able to talk to locals very well and spend some great evenings. Thanks for that!The kite spot:The red sea is awesome. From the kite station on the beach you can go kiting in the morning by rubber dinghy or on a large excursion boat (about a 20-minute drive). At the kite spot there is a small platform on a sandbar in Soma Bay. You are in the middle of the sea here, but you still have a lot of standing area.Training:Our kite instructor (Romeo) was great! The teachers speak English, French, German and Arabic. We took a course for beginners and were ready to continue practicing on our own after the training. You are usually on the water until the afternoon. If the wind falls asleep in the afternoon, you can take the big boat to a reef where you can snorkel. This is really great to end a great day. There is also food on the boat. Ice-cold drinks are available all day for a small fee.We will go back in the fall!Matthias and Lukas

We booked our kitesurfing course and accommodation with Hawa Safaga online. Communication and advice was very friendly and competent. We had a great time here: starting with the daily adventurous boat trips to the Hawa platform in Soma Bay, the kite lessons with the friendly kite instructors and the sundowner on the beach of the cozy Hawa Base. We felt very comfortable here and felt comfortable.

Super flat water area, which especially for beginners makes the start very easy. Crystal clear turquoise colored water and sandy beach is the dream for every kiter & surfer. The transport takes place with several boats to the different spots. Happy to come again!
