One of the beautiful and clean Cathedral of our Christian Brethren. Beautifully decorated. I visited today with my wife, the staff was more then welcoming and provided good information about the Coptic Orthodox faith. Feel happy to see this beautiful Cathedral.

The divinely beautiful Coptic Cathedral of Aswan! Incredibly majestic on the outside and somehow mystical on the inside.For the first time I enter a Coptic church and I was amazed by the interior, which is slightly unexpected and quite different from our Orthodox churches.The people inside were very friendly and there was almost no one who did not greet me. Warm and wonderful people - both the local worshipers and the management of the church.Archangel Michael Cathedral is one of the places that impressed me the most in the already pleasant city of Aswan.

Big new cathedral, built only 10 years ago. It is interesting to see the place where the service is given in two languages, Arabic and Coptic.

Technically the Cathedral is still under construction and the stained glass windows are not completely installed. Nevertheless it is a beautiful place and the people there are amazing and helpful.

Nice iconography on beautiful oak screens. Lovely craftsmanship. Stained glass to be added soon so I am told. Lovely light inside.

Great Church for Coptic Orthodox

Nice building, the paint art of dome is beautiful. The structure contains simbolism: trinity, 4 evangelists, 12 apostles... Currently (jan/2019) the security for access, its strong.

Not as historic as the ones in Cairo and Alexandria (this one was built in 1995), more simple, streamlined architecture and decor, but impressive size.

Interesting Orthodox cathedral that should be visited although finding it is not entirely easy but it is worth it

Aswan Coptic Cathedral. Modern architectural style, without any cultural and/or historical value.

Definitely visit!The cathedral, financed exclusively by donations, is a modern building, but still impressive. A lady led us through the building and explained the individual elements of the church to us in German. It was very friendly and we were happy to make a donation.We were there on March 1st 2020, but unfortunately I have only now been able to write the review.

The church is very beautiful and large and its architectural design is distinctive. It is on two floors. The ground floor disappears in the shape of the pillar and the main church stands above it. The church has two gift libraries, other accessories, toys, laptops and travel bags. And their prices are very cheap compared to other places .. And the place of the church is wonderful if on the corner of the road to Suhail, High Dam, Temple and Philae Island this is on the one hand. On the other hand is the Nubian Museum

An impressive, newly built cathedral near the Nubian Museum. Visitors are checked in front of the church by the police, so you should definitely have a passport or at least a copy of it with you.Once you enter the church area, it is usually not close to volunteers who lead through the cathedral and have a lot to tell about the history of architecture and the Copts in Egypt. It is noteworthy that the nice volunteer who guided us, refused any tipping ... 100 years history of the cathedral ... Muslim and Christian are one hand

After our arrival with the Nile cruise ship CORAL I we definitely wanted to visit the well-known and recommended bazaar of Aswan. Although this could be reached near our ship, we were initially denied access by a police chain. The reason: a house had collapsed in the bazaar and the police were supposed to stop looting attempts. As recognizable tourists we were allowed to pass the barrier.Description of the situation: Bazaar of Aswan near the pier of the Nile cruise ships.Note / insider tip: The diverse offers were fascinating. But we also noticed the unmistakable child labor. My wife enjoyed the opportunity to complete her international spice collection.
