This guest house located on Elephantine island is the best place to stay in Aswan. The food is delicious, served on the rooftop with an amazing view. Great vibes in the guesthouse run by Ali and his brother. The rooms are nice, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms have hot water. The staff is really nice and helpful and will make sure you have a great experience. Strongly recommanded.
Bob Marley is the best place to chill, have a great meal and also an excellent workplace with an incredible rooftop view of the Nile river 😍 my favourite place in Aswan.The owner and staff are super friendly and helpful!!! I highly recommend spending some time here.
Friendly owners, great music, and fresh delicious food are a fabulous bonus to the great views to be had at this gem on Elephantine Island. I enjoyed a very freshly prepared chicken curry tagine served with generous sides of rice, vegetables, bread, and preserved lemon. It was delicious. The best meal Ive had in Egypt. You will not regret visiting. I also really enjoyed meeting and speaking to the owners who are welcoming and authentic in their hospitality. Thank you for such an unforgettable dining experience here near Aswan.
We had a fantastic stay at Bob Marley Guest House. Ali and his team were very hospitable and made us feel at home instantly. Room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. A huge plus was reliable/consistent hot water and strong WiFi. They also operate as a restaurant & cafe. Food was delicious and plentiful, especially if you want to try local cuisine. A really nice variety of hot drinks (local variations of coffee and some of the best hibiscus tea we tried in all of Egypt), and lots of cold beer as well. Ali can also help arrange tours to temples and attractions nearby as well as felucca rides down the Nile River. I highly recommend staying here or at least stopping by for a meal. Big thanks to Ali and his crew for making us feel so welcome!
Amazing place! the meals are delicious, I ordered camel tajin and its really fantastic. the service is really good and quick. the atmosfere is relaxing, the waiter Victor is very helpful.we had very positive emotions and highly recommend this cafe to visit
Ali at the rooftop restaurant made our night! We weren’t even staying at the guesthouse…just happened to come here for dinner. Food was so very delicious and the service was impeccable. Highly recommend anyone sit with Ali for a meal!

Ali was obliging and helpful in all situations: transfer from airport at a very late for a great deal, we add the dinner (super tasteful and local). All the staff is friendly and like family. The room is big enough and was what we were expecting from the pictures. The ferry is LE 5 (each way), and its super close by Bob Marleg Gesthouse (less than 3 mins walk).The mosquee is right next door, so be ready for an alarm around 5am.
Highly authentic place with most hospitable people. If you like meeting locals and understanding the culture you come here. Rooms are clean and well quipped. Food is as authentic and tasty served in iron pots.Ali the owner will guide you through everything you need and the view of the Nile is just something you can keep lying down sipping beers.

This place is honestly incredible. The views are awesome, the rooms are very clean, but most importantly Ali the owner and the rest of the staff treat you like family. They go above and beyond to make your stay as fun and comfortable as possible. Will definitely plan to return.
Great place to stay. Good value for money with nice terrace with a very good vibe and view of the river.Staff was very helpful and friendly and the room was very comfy!Food could be better and the room needs better blankets though, we were getting daylight very early as there are no curtains and also there was only a very thin blanket.

We had a wonderful stay here. Elephantine island is really where you ought to stay if you go to Aswan, it is like a small village, cut off from the city with its inhabitants living peaceful and relaxed lives.As for the Bob Marley guest house, you will find a really nice host in Ali as well as all the other people working there. I highly recommend the food, it is cooked in the guesthouses kitchen and is truly amazing.
Excellent location , Ali , the owner sends his boat everytime you want to cross the river. The food is Authentic with good flavours. The view from the terrace is just amazing. Looking forward to coming back again . Thanks Ali for the wonderful stay.
We had all our meals on the island at Ali Bob Marley restaurant - they were succulent and you always get a hospitality egyptian tagine served extra. Extremely friendly stuff and great local food.From the restaurant’s terrace the views on the Nile and the boats are amazing and will certainly be a major memory of the trip.
I highly recommend Bob Marley Guesthouse in Elephantine Island. People working there are very welcoming and nice !! Food is fresh and tasty (though, one meal for two is enough!) And the view is awesome. Youll have a good time for sure !

Spent there one hour and a half today waiting for my order. The last 40-45 minutes I was sitting there just out of curiosity, then I cracked and walked away.My order was not a dish of Chinese imperial cuisine - just chicken skewers, one of 5 or 6 positions on their menu.They just don’t care.
Rooms are so nice and Cozy.They have a restaurent on the roof top with a nice view on the Nile.Host is flexible when it comes to extending and checking out.
Their hospitality is the best and the food is AMAZING! Perfect location to escape the noisy city. If you are in Aswan you should definitely stay in this place, or at least eat here. Totally recommend it!

Staying here was the best decision we made. The vibes here are THE BEST! Everybody is so hospitable, they really care for you. The food is super fresh and tastes AMAZING. We were here during Ramadan and they invited us to eat breakfast with them every evening, it felt like one big family. The prices are really fair for what you get. The guesthouse and the food here are truly worth every penny. And the room was perfectly clean too.

My favorite place on elefantine island, i stayed there for 5 days and it was quiet but with a great atmosphere. The meals are very good and inexpensive. What I will remember are people here are really great, I felt right at home. In addition, the view of the Nile is incredible, and the ambiance with the lights and music at night is memorable. thank you !! 🌞🌞

Big Marley organized my tours in Egypt and they invited me to dine at their guesthouse in Aswan. Their hospitality is INCREDIBLE, and the food and views are phenomenal too! Also, if you are curious about their history - the family has ties to Jamaica many many generations ago. Fun fact to learn! This place is really cute I spent hours on the rooftop. Everyone who works here is sweet they let you play your music and treat you like family. I really felt at home here. Food is 10/10 delicious and big portions cooked with love. They also help you get good prices and dont try to hustle you.

I stayed 2 days in Bob Marley’s guesthouse and the stuff is really nice and helpful ! The place is amazing, there is a wonderful view on the Nile, the food is good, and during summer the A/C in the room is mandatory which they have ! So i higly recommend this place.
Exceptional place, with great food, super delicious and fulfilling.Very helpful and relaxed staff, if you need anything they will provide it for you.I highly recommend it, for anyone visiting Aswan.The ferry ride is super simple and it takes a couple of minutes to get on the Elephantin island, and they are very frequent. It costs 5 pounds each way.We parked our car across the road to KFC.The views are just the best

I did the reservation of the abu simbel trip. The organized very well pick up from the hotel. And an excellent breakfast for the trip! -we had a really lovely welcome party when we arrived. - I spent my birthday there. They brought me a cake for 🎁 present!! - good internet - excellent for couple and backpackers groups. Negative: Nothing- Only if you want to do Many things in Aswan. You need to pay every time you take the bote from one side to the other..

Positive: Theyre working on renovations so expect a little construction mess.. Negative: I loved my One Love room on the top floor by the roof terrace- and stayed longer than planned:) The location is perfect near the Nubian Dreams Cafe and 5EGP ferry, Im glad that I didnt stay on the otherside of the island because it was easy to get lost in the dusty alleyways! Bonus being able to use washing machine too!!.
