One of the best and oldest places in whole Egypt to visit. Once you go there you wont leave. Theres some positive energy in this place and the stories of the place makes you more interesting to listen and learn about the history of this place. You should visit if youre in Cairo and theres some places to take some good pictures as well 🙂🙂

Beautiful place to visit to witness a lot of historical and religious landmarks. I would always advice to have a knowledgeable tour guide with you ( you will find plenty there) that will show you around with an extra cost of course. The place is free to enter, even for tourists. The only area that you have to pay is if you want to enter the museum.

Very spiritual, soulful places ...old churches ,monasteries, museum & old cemetery...the sacred family did hide in some of the places included in the complex during their journey to Egypt ...luckily, it has a synagogue...beautiful one still holds its main architectural features ...the remains of the ancient fort of (qasr elshamea) or wax palace can be spotted all around the place either under the present buildings or outside of them ..there are beautiful, old allies connecting the various places there ,lined wit souvenir shops & bookstores....a few meters ahead theres the beautiful mosque of amr ibn elass..its supposed to be the oldest mosque in Egypt, still its destroyed & rebuilt many times...the one there is only more than a century old...close to the mosque, theres the fascinating fostat bazaar for traditional, handcrafted goods ...clothes, glassware, copperware, handcrafted wood goods, bedroom items ..sheets ,pillows, islamic_style furniture paintings, floor items ...in all, its a magical place

Exit of the Congregation of ReligionsThe only country in the world that has the sanctities of the three monotheistic religions on one streetThis exit will only cost you a metro ticket, which means 2 poundsYou will see historical places that you would not imagine so beautifulYou will see the meeting of the three monotheistic religions in one placeMosque, church and synagogue in one streetOk, read this post well and try it for yourself and judge the other. You will take the first line subway for EGP 2 and come down to Mary Gerges station, and this will be the beginning of the journey. The beginning will be with the Hanging Church, and after that, the Babylon FortressAfter that, you will enter an area with 6 churches, and they are:The Church of St. Abi Serga, the Church of St. George, the Church of St. Barbara, the Church of St. Abi Sefein, the Church of St. Tadrash El Shatby, and the Church of Archangel Michael.Every church in every country has a story and history, and of course the most important of them is the Hanging Church. As you walk in the corridors between these churches, you will really feel that you are walking in the streets of Jerusalem, which we see in the documentaries.Ok, as someone I do not know in history, but I would like to know about them, what should I do?In every church, especially the hanging, you will find young volunteers from the church explaining to you the history of the church.- Ok, do these places have a ticket, or do I need money for this volunteer? No, at all, without a ticket, and the volunteers explain each story to you. They consider it an honor for them to teach people the history of the church. The Coptic MuseumNext to the Hanging Church, you will find the Coptic Museum, and the ticket price is 10 pounds for Egyptians. And a photo ticket for 50 pounds inside the museum for antiquesBut in a very beautiful lobby, when you finish your visit, you will see the best pictures in this placeIn the museum, you will find everything related to Coptic history, from ancient to modern. And of course visiting the museum in the presence of guides, the topic is completely different- After that, you will go to the Jewish temple, and it will be returned for free, and you will find a man there who can let him explain this temple to you for free. When I was the first time I entered a synagogue, I saw its Tasmiyyah, its prayer seats, the hexagonal candlestick, and the Star of David.- Finally, he stayed with the Amr Ibn Al-Aas MosqueI enter this mosque and look at the style of the mosques of that time. Of course, you do not want to enter with shorts or tight clothes and there in the clothes of a merchant from the mosque, and return him while you are out for girlsThats how you made a trip for 12 pounds and gave them 2 pounds for a return metro ticket, and the whole of that remains exactly 14 pounds.Visiting hours are from 10 am to 4 pm

A great place, my history is more than wonderful and filled with holy historical places. The Synod of Religions includes a large number of churches, the first of which is the Hanging Church and its courtyard, the Coptic Museum and two streets of St. Marks Lane, where there are seven churches and the Jewish Temple, and close to them is the Mosque of Amr Ibn Al-Aas.Entrance to all the attractions is free except for the Coptic Museum and everywhere there are guides explaining the history of the place. And its religious and sacred significance. Photography inside churches is forbidden. It is possible to reach the Religions Complex by metro Helwan station, which is located on the street where the church is hanging along.
