A place rich in the bodies of the martyrs of the sheikhs of the desert, a deep psychological comfort and a spiritual blessing that cannot be described in words
Our Lord blesses the blessings of visiting the holy places. Tani diligently opens an honorable history to the world. The knowledge of this region must be fully visited and circulated
The Church of the Forty-nine Martyrs of Sheehat or Shehit, was erected as a memorial to the martyrdom of the sheikhs who were slaughtered by the Berber with the Kings Messenger and son during their third raid on the monasteries of Wadi Natroun in 444. It consists of a roofed entrance that occupies the southwestern corner. There is a bowl followed by a parallel choir. To the east of the choir there is only one structure. The church is connected from the south-eastern corner by a small bell tower covering the chapel. A semi-cylindrical vault supported by a pedestal - a bridge - one crossed and ends in the north with a wooden barrier. The saucer separates from the east four rows of contracts - four bukiets - and above each bakhtin is a semi-cylindrical vault. The choir also covers a semi-cylindrical vault, except for the area opposite the temple, which is covered by a dome that is mounted on two nodes and is viewed above the first and second pillars on the eastern wall of the choir The structure of the church has a wooden veil dating back to 1866 (153 years ago). The Dome of the Temple is a semicircular dome with four vaults, each with three sides. The church was built around 528 during the reign of Pope Theodosius I, In the seventh century, however, it fell into decline and was renewed in the eighteenth century
