The Egyptian Banking Institute was established by the Central Bank of Egypt in 1991 to become its official training arm to apply international best practices to hone the technical and administrative skills of workers in the financial and banking sector with a vision that aims to become the leading knowledge center for financial services in Egypt and the neighboring region through excellence in skills development and provision Integrated knowledge services for the financial sector, and to contribute to spreading financial awareness in society.International Accreditation ACCETThe Egyptian Banking Institute obtained international accreditation for a period of 5 years from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET) in April 2009 as an affirmation of commitment to international quality standards, thus becoming the first accredited training institute in Egypt and the Middle East and North Africa region. In December 2014, the accreditation was renewed for another five years ending in 2019, and the accreditation was obtained for the third time for another 5 years ending in 2024. The institute also offers Continuing Education Units (CEUs) which are widely used internationally and enable trainees to continue their education all over the world.Arab Network (ABTN)In an initiative to form a strong Arab network that brings together similar training institutes in the Arab world, the Egyptian Banking Institute established the Arab Banking Training Network (ABTN) with the aim of exchanging experiences and intensifying cooperation between these institutes in the Arab region and some African countries.
