Beautiful archaeological place

عب
Review №6

It is one of the mosques that was established in the era of the Ottoman Empire in Egypt and it is a square shaped mosque consisting of an open courtyard. It is surrounded by four arcades, the largest of which is the qibla hallway. It consists of four rows of buoyaks, each with eight columns bearing pointed arches of the type of arches that appeared in the late Fatimid period and which were known as the Persian archaeological contracts. At the qibla iwan there is the mihrab, the minbar, and the deck. In front of the mihrab there is a dome similar to the Fatimid domes.

Al-Yousifi ** Between Al-Fatimi and Al-Othmani - Al-Yousifi neighborhood It is the Great Mosque of Archeology. This mosque has a distinct Islamic heritage. It is the oldest of the mosques in Mallawi or one of the oldest ones, and the Al-Yusufi Mosque is standing and known to date. Its area is approximately 2250 m, and its main entrance is Secret Traders St., previously known as Al-Sawalem Street. The mosque is on four streets and has four doors. The mosque was known by this name (Al-Youssfi) and the mosque was located before Yusuf Bey, a diver after approximately 500 AH. Yusuf Bey demolished it and expanded its area and gave it its name, and I did not find any evidence for that, except that many of the mosques of Mallawi were created by Mustafa Kashif and Hassan Kashef. This was after the year 500 AH and was attached to Mustafa Al-Yosqi Mosque, a tomb of Mustafa Kashif. This indicates that the mosque was built and recommended to be buried with it. And its establishment, Yusuf Bey Ghattas, in Muharram in 1025 AH 1616AD, which is written on the upper threshold of the mosque from the western side, it is the date of its founding, and its current platform was established in Ramadan 1027 AH 1618 CE, during the Ottoman era and its founding was established. Youssef Bey Ghattas. The Emir of the Royal Brigade and the governor of Upper Egypt (the Emir of the brigade is a military rank at the time). He also set up an office as a book of education and convention for the mosque next to the mosque. And he built a building for other mosques in other cities, all of them in about the same style and with the same name (Al-Yousifi), similar to the construction of Al-Azhar Mosque, and he stopped thousands of acres for them throughout the Republic, and singled out the city of Mallawi only for stopping its area (6818 acres) to spend on the maintenance and work of the mosques. He also stopped his financial proceeds with thousands of gold and silver, as well as hundreds of up to 1500 heads of livestock, as well as thousands of qanats of crops, and this is not the many large and various occasions .. And the mosque has been restored and maintained more than once. The most distant in 1286 AH and the closest after 2010 AD due to groundwater, weather and length of time. Attached is a picture of the mosque, which contains groundwater and also another image of the Assiut Mosque, which has the same name and also the same design at about the same time. Not many pictures show the beauty and antiquities of the mosque. And it has a shrine and a shrine for Imam Abu Al-Baqa, the first imams of the mosque almost, and Sheikh Abdul Rahim, Sheikh of the readers. And the first friend of Imam Abu Al-Baqa, who had an important role in the battle of the two doors in support of Salahuddin Al-Ayyubi, who then ruled Mallawi. This story is a second testimony that the mosque was located in 1167 AD, the year of the Battle of the Two Doors. The hand of neglect and vandalism of the Islamic monuments and religious evidence has long frowned on removing the honorable shrines from the ground in the mosque and hiding the other ruined grave next to Sheikh Abdul Rahim in the hall, which belongs to Mustafa Kashif ... It has a special building for events to serve the people of the region and there is a huge library attached to the mosque. As for, what is rumored about the mosque is that it was on the Nile and people perform ablution from it and enter the mosque, then this is not true with proof, so if this is true ...1- How was the Asqalani Mosque built between it and Al-Yousifi about 15 meters away. It was unthinkable that the Nile drifted to the east more than 30 meters in value, the distance of the road and the construction site of the mosque in 166 AH and 161 AD ...2- And if that is correct, I do not need the matter to dig a well in the mosque, with a watering wheel to lift water, and no well at the entrance to the Asqalani Mosque ...This and God knows best and highest...Description of Al-Yusufi Mosque: Square in shape on four streets, they are the Street of Merchants Street, a street with the main door, Al-Yousifi Street, Abu Al-Surqa Street and Darb al-Hamam Street and was built in the Ottoman era and has a large square square without a ceiling and no lantern but from it to the sky directly and has columns of a special style, in forms and types Different, for the head of the column and the type of its material, and I suspect that this is due to the collection of columns from a place of water or different places, and it was not manufactured and the mosque is covered with wood (veins and panels) around the courtyard and has a large modern flash and engraved on the threshold of the mosque emerging at the top of the Western Pope the history of the mosque’s architecture as it is engraved On the pulpit is the date on which the platform was created . And it contains (56) fifty-six pillars to raise the mosque. (24) of them are behind the qiblah in front (3 x 8) and the number (16) at the end of the mosque (2 x 8) and (8) eight from the east and from the west on each side means ( 16) Others, so that everyone (56) plus (4) four others bear the deck of the sum or reciter. This is not the side pillars inside the walls, and some of the diameter of its circle are shown. There is in the mosque in some walls simple of drawings or writings and the attachment of pictures there is also writing on the upper threshold of the eastern door .. It was known that he was in the mosque, a well on his legs and a basement as the mosque was restored more than once while preserving its antique and old style ... but in an insufficient way To preserve it, much of its antiquities were tarnished.
