We had a very nice experience with Mostafa Molattam during our 4 day / 3 night Nile cruise sailing from Aswan to Luxor.Pick up was arranged at our hotel in Aswan. We were taken to the High Damn and Philae Temple (by motorboat). Then back the cruise for lunch, free afternoon and overnight in Aswan. Departute for Abu Simbel by car was at 4:30 am. Great experience! The cruise left Aswan after lunch. In the evening we visited Kom Ombo temple. Next day we visited Edfu temple in the morning and continued sailing towards Luxor, where we arrived around 5 PM to visit Luxor temple. Next and last day we visited the Valley of the Kings, temple of Hatsheput, Colossus of Memnon and Karnak temple. The cruise was good: great service and food was ok.Moustafas service is very good. Hes kind, nice and knowledgeable guide - and always on time! Much recommended.

We enjoyed dealing with Imperial Egypt, they were very responsive from the get go. Found them highly reviewed on Tripadvisor for their Aswan to Luxor Nile Cruises, and then contacted them directly. The rates for the same cruise on their website were lower than the same cruise booked through Tripadvisor, and you could discuss directly with the tour operator your requirements. I dealt by WhatsApp with Hany, which arranged the cruise for us. Hany was very cordial and polite. The cruise ship itself, the Blue Shadow, was nice, although I wouldnt say it was a 5 star cruise ship. The rooms in the cruise ship were comfortable and well appointed. The tour of the temples was with a private aircon car, just for my partner and I, which we really appreciated. The tour guide, Hady, was very knowledgeable, up beat and professional and we had many interesting debates on the ancient egypt civilization. He was wonderful on many occasions, such as organizing a surprise anniversary cake for my partner and I. I have removed one star because one aspect of the experience did not go so well with us and we feel Imperial Egypt should have the opportunity to know the customer opinion and do something about it, as there may be others that would feel the same as us. Despite being an excellent tour guide and egyptologist, we had the impression the tour guide Hady was singularly focused on the tips. In fact on the first hour after he met us he gave us a rather intense and long pitch on how we should tip in Egypt, telling us exactly how much to tip each person, even those that provide services included on the tour package itself (drivers, horse carriage drivers, guides, cruise staff, etc). When we are told in writing in the tour description and on booking the cruise that gratuities are optional, which is then followed by the tour guide telling us exactly the opposite and how much we need to pay each person that they hire to provide us a service, it does not feel like tipping is optional. We were being pressured and guilted into tipping and thats no longer a gratuity. We actually tip generously when we feel the service warrants it, simply resented the pressure to tip indiscriminately whatever amount the tour guide felt we should tip. As part of the sales pitch as my partner and i called it, he would say on a daily basis he is our brother, our best friend, our father, not realizing how that sounds a little strange coming from someone you barely know (cultural differences play a role here, so we will give him the benefit of the doubt). He also wanted to give us a full presentation on the cost of living of Egyptians, and how it was more expensive than living in europe...which we politely declined as by now it fitted a familiar pattern. The tour ended in a rather bizarre way, when hours after we checked out from the cruise ship, having paid our bill, plus service fee, Hady asked if we had a good time in the cruise. We effusively said yes, that we had a wonderful time! To which he replied: well at this moment there is a very big investigation going on in the cruise ship trying to figure out what went wrong and why you are angry with them and have not left an envelope with tips. My partner and I looked at each other surprised and chuckled, wondering how he could possibly think we would take him seriously. That little scene felt a little unprofessional to us. Regardless, it was quickly forgotten and we tipped him for his knowledgeable services, and bid him goodbye. Despite the above, we would recommend Imperial Egypt. We enjoyed our cruise very much and made beautiful memories.Hope this review helps someone make educated choices. Happy travels.

It was so much fun to tour around with Hady. He is very knowledgeable, has good English and always make sure that we get the best customer service. He is always up front with everything which I liked and it felt like a family with him. Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed our trip and we will definitely recommend Hady as the tour guide. The tour was from Aswan to Luxor. It was a very beautiful trip. It was very calm and peaceful yet touristy. We went in a boat, did the camel ride to Noobian village, danced with them and had a wonderful time. Very cool and memorable experience. The whole tour was organized by Imperial Egypt. It was very easy to book the trip online. Also, remember tipping culture is big here, so be ready to tip.

The 5 day 4 night cruise was the perfect amount of time and a great way to wind down our travel in the country. I would highly recommend this option —- AND if possible request your guide to be Mido!!! His passion for Egyptology, history, and his country is infectious —- your grade school lessons will come to life!Egypt is not an easy place to navigate and can be incredible intimidating for any traveller - regardless of experience - For our travels we did a combination of our own planning and a facilitated portion with Imperial Egypt. As noted, my wife and I were fortunate enough to be connected with the most excellent guide (Mido). His attention to detail, his knowledge, and genuine care for you and the time you have in the country made our trip go from good - to amazing! Mido made sure on the first day to get to know what type of traveller we were and catered the tour and information to our needs. (We love lots of info —- but also time to explore on our own —- and he struck the perfect balance. The cruise ship (of which there are a few) was good; clean, staff was friendly, and the food was good. It is important to note that my wife has a severe food allergy (Epi-pen level) to gluten and the kitchen was incredibly attentive and we had zero issue. The ship was also a great way to see the Nile and cool off in the cold pool after a day of exploring. But, at the end of the day the star of the show was Mido!

Our Nile Cruise was an amazing experience thanks to our tour guide Hady and well organized by Emperial Egypt. We got a private tour with only two people which gave the tour a unique family feel. Hady was very knowledgeable historically and culturally and able to answer all of our questions. Overall it was a great experience and we can only recommend it to anyone - it truly is a once in a lifetime experience!

We did a nile cruise from Aswan to Cairo, and my review refers to this experience. If you are considering a cruise on the nile, you probably know already that you are going to see amazing things, so I will not comment on that.I will comment on the cruise added value.First of all, the guide. The organization assigned us Mostafa, who was very knowledgeable of Egyptian art and history, and quite talented in describing enough not to bore the listener.I was interested in more, so he followed up with me, e.g. explained me how to read some cartuche, while the rest of the group preferred to wander and take pictures.I will assume also his colleagues are as competent and willing to go a very long lenght to accommodate our requests (we wanted to add a few things, go on excursions earlier, and so on).It was also very nice to sit with Mostafa and just chat, to have a glimpse on the life of modern Egiptians. Finally, in Egypt you really really need a guide. In any tourist place, you will be surrounded by dozens of people offering you something, from completely useless to harmful scams, all the time. A guide will shield you from that, and give you the time to relax and enjoy your time. The schedule is well organized with a good balance between rest and exploration. The boat Mr. Hany booked for us was Solaris II, It was elegant and tasteful (as a boat cruise on the nile can be). Food was quite good, with one night of traditional food, but in general always good options. The rooms were cleaned twice, the deck was nice, drinks were a bit overpriced, but you could just buy water and sodas outside and keep them in your fridge. There was also a large, older group on board, but all who booked through imperial Egypt were kind of young independent travellers (who booked a cruise because Egypt is complicated!), so we had also a nice time among us.Last suggestion: take the extra of Abu Simbel. It is long and early and a bit expensive, but totally worth it.Also ask your guide to accommodate valley of the Queens and Nefertari tomb in your last day in Luxor (again, expensive but worth it). As Mostafa, our guide, described it, it looks like they finished painting it yesterday. It is like the Sistine chapel of Egyptian art, you definitely dont want to go away without seeing it.Ps. Some extras are really overpriced. Try to arrange by yourself if you want to do a tour of the nubian Village or go to the Karnak light and sound show. For the second, Hany asked 35 USD per person, we ended up spending, beside the 14 usd of tickets, and 5 usd in total for a taxi that brought us there and waited for us to return.
