We booked a Egypt Luxury Guided Tour with Nile Cruise and Air with Truly Egypt through Tour Radar. We met in Cairo, flew to Luxor to board the ship, sailed to Aswan and visited Abu Simbel. Then flew back to Cairo for a day at the Giza Pyramids. The original price was 740 USD per person. We had to postpone our trip from May 2021 to December 2021 due to COVID-19 restrictions, so Truly Egypt charged us an extra 250 USD per person to change the internal flights, and charged us 150 USD per person for cancellation fee.We flew to Cairo 2 days before to settle in and learn about the city. Stayed in a wonderful hotel (that we arranged for ourselves) and enjoyed Cairo. We also arranged our own airport transfers, since Truly Egypt was insisting to send us on additional trips if we came to their hotel using their services, with exuberant costs for booking extra nights. When we arrived at the Cairo Hotel (the Sonesta Hotel Tower and Casino), the hotel lobby stinks of cigarettes smoke - it is horrible (avoid at all costs). The owner of Truly Egypt insisted in seeing us immediately. Thinking we are meeting the rest of our group, or some other activity, we went to the lobby to meet him. When we arrived, Mac (the owner) explained all the hidden / extra costs needed to go on the trip. He informed us that entrance into the temples are not included, that no water or any sort of drinks are included (even on the al-inclusive cruise), that (unbelievably) the transport and tour to Abu Simbel is not included into the price and that all tipping charges had to be paid to him directly on the spot (60 USD per person). He had a long list of extras, where you either sit and wait for the rest of the group to return from their excursion, or join them. He rattled through these amounts, and we paid total of 450 USD per person extra, which included a PCR test when back in Cairo for 135 USD. Unfortunately we could not afford to go on all the excursions. Our tour group of 10 was a mix of nationalities, all very nice, good people who became our friends. It was soon apparent that Mac charged each person a different rate for add-ons, tips, excursions, etc.; but I am not 100% sure. Mac flew to Luxor with us, then we never saw him again. He handed us over to Mr. Ali Baba (Ramadan), who is a very professional historian and tour guide - who was with us all the way until our flight back to Cairo.Personally, I felt that 60 USD per person for tipping paid to Mac was not the right thing to do. It wasnt clear if he actually give that money to Mr. Ali to distribute we where convinced on day one. Also, the long ques at the temple entrances he convinced us to avoid, would have been much cheaper if we just paid it ourselves. We boarded the Ramadis Floating Hotel 2, and my wife and I was happy with it. Lunch the first few days was mediocre, but overall we are satisfied with the hotel - we have been on a few similar cruises before. They prepared a birthday cake for my wifes birthday, and sang for her in a ceremony celebration of sorts. I cannot fault the cruise.Mr.  Ali Baba (Ramadan) was fantastic - he was sourced independently by Truly Egypt (Mac), and I strongly recommend him for future tours - he went out of his way to ensure everything went perfectly, assisting and helping us with everything needed.Skip the Nubian Tourist Village (too expensive), too expensive, and ot worth it. The balloon ride was a favorite for all. There was some issues caused by Truly Egypt, who joined our cruise tour with another overland  tour - our bus had to do long de-tours to pick and deliver the other tour person from his hotel, really caused huge time delays for everyone.Overall, you can do better elsewhere.

I have contacted 20 tour operators before coming to Luxor. I tried to get the best value for my money. This tour operator was the winner. They managed to provide me very good guides, smooth trip and best program. I highly recommend them for everyone.
