Truly the best shop we found in all of our Egypt Travels. No cheap knock offs to be found here -- only handmade statues and crafts from the 1800s quite reasonably priced. The owner is very knowledgable and friendly. If you need gifts or want to take home a slice of Egypt and piece of history, this is the spot in Egypt.

As you can guess, there’s loads of places in Luxor (and in Aswan, and in Cairo) to buy stone works. We’ve visited a few because we were looking some nicer pieces to take home and, ironically, outside of our hotel was where we found the best selection with the nicest quality pieces.If you do any tours you’re probably going to be duped into going into some alabaster workshop or some stone sculpting “like the ancient Egyptians did it”-store. You aren’t going to find anything special there. Every store tells you that their stuff is the real thing, will show you some samples “from other stores” that break or burn more easily. When everyone does it, it’s a bit meaningless.I suggest you go here instead. It’s better priced, there’s a much much wider variety, and it’s much more likely you’ll leave with something you’re happy with.

This place has beautiful egyptian sculptures and carvings. If you are looking for something special to bring back home, look no further. This shop is run by three brothers, and we were helped by the brother Abdul when we visited.

Are you looking for a beautiful and typical statue from Egypt?Then Nobles Art Gallery is definitely worth a visit.When you walk into the store it seems as if everything has been taken straight from a tomb.That is of course not the case, but they are certainly hand-cut from natural rocks: limestone, alabaster, granite... and in a variety of old colors (sorry for the Dutch, no orange) in all sizes and weights by contemporary artists with respect for the old masters.We chose 2 limestone figurines by the same artist.You pay a little more, but you are sure of a unique piece and not the thousandth identical copy from a mold of sprayed powder stone and glue.Afterwards we also visited one of the alabaster factories near the vally of the kings and do not regret our first purchase!Looking for a beautiful, typical Egyptian statue?That case Nobles Art Gallery is surely worth a visit.When you enter the shop it is like entering a tomb, the statues look so authentic!Of course they are not, but hand crafted by todays artist with respect to the old master in natural stones: lime stone, alabastar, granite..in a variety of old colors and in all shapes and sizes.Our choice: 2 limestone statues in a very pale yellow and dark red accents in the stone.Happy to pay a bit more for unique statues and not powder stone molded one of a million (fake) immitations.We did check out one of the alabaster factories near the vally of the kings, just to chek, and dont regret at all our puchase!Anubish and that other god with a jar on his head (which surely will not make him a jarhead) have found a nice place in our study.

Very nice store! We went out of interest in antique things and were surprised at the number of interesting specimens from small scarabs to one and a half meter granite statues! The owner told how tourist souvenirs differ from real granite, showing them with an example. Indeed, there is something to see. We seriously thought about purchasing a large statue :) The owner said that there are options for sending to other countries.If you are interested in Egyptian history and quality, I strongly advise !!!
