The members of staff were great, the food was good, and the diving on our safari was also very good. What was not good, was that the guides did not act decisively enough when guests violated the dive briefings, for example deliberately touching/kicking corals, harassing fish, getting much too close to turtles, etc. In such cases, Emperor should encourage their guides to act in the interest of nature and only let such guests dive under direct supervision - if at all.My biggest criticism is the low level of on-board safety though: life vests did not comply with SOLAS, the inspection placards on life rafts did not show any inspections, life buoys (none of them with a strobe or smoke) were mounted with cable ties, emergency exit signs were unlit, the lower deck emergency exit was difficult to locate and use due to a sink in front of it, no EPIRB was visible on the superstructure, and no abandon ship drill took place.Due to these safety shortcomings, I cannot rate Emperor Divers higher. I reported these deficits through Emperor Divers customer feedback form but, unfortunately, received no reply.

The Emperor Raja Laut is newly renovated and it is in beautiful shape. The day-to-day operations including dives were run smoothly. The crew were all really helpful and friendly. Lee was always ready to make our meals pleasant and was responsive to any needs. All the crew took turns helping with entering and exiting the dinghies, handling the equipment, and making our dives great. Sophie and Flo were superb hosts and divemasters. I loved that they sat with us for meals and hung around chatting with us when they didnt have tasks to do. I felt like they became friends. My luggage including dive gear all got left behind in Bali, and I was supplied with very new rental gear. I felt very supported as people chipped in to lend me things that I normally would have had.As for the diving, the sites were great! The reefs were some of the healthiest Ive seen. Flo, Sophie, and Downey were very clear and specific about dive plans, entries, dealing with currents, etc. I was in Sophies group, and I was amazed and grateful for her ability to spot the smallest little macro creatures and still keep an eye on the blue.I had a fabulous week and highly recommend the boat and the Komodo itinerary.

I just returned from a nine day live aboard on the Emperor Raja Laut in Indonesia... What a great experience that was!!! Nine days aboard a beautiful 30 meter sailing schooner was an absolute experience of a life time.I had chosen this particular boat from the prior experiences diving with Emperor Divers in the Red Sea and when I saw they had a new operation in Indonesia, I was certain that I would be treated right and attended to by a great crew. I was not disappointed at all. It was a big trip for me as I was coming all the way from California but I had always wanted to dive in Indonesia. I wasnt disappointed at all!!!Everything about the trip was outstanding from the diving to the great food and crew. I had a nicely appointed state room to myself that had plenty of room and was attended to daily.Aboard the schooner was one of the finest crews I have ever come across in my 35 years of diving. They were super nice and very attentive. I think there were a dozen crew members in addition to the staff from Emperor. The dive guides were top quality and everyone was super helpful. As to food, what a nice variety of different courses every day. The cook was top notch and the deckhands were super accommodating to all of us.I am already looking to book a return visit to this boat next year and will hope to have another great experience.

After our excellent experience with the Emperor fleet in the Maldives, my buddy and I decided to do another liveaboard with them, but this time in the Red Sea.So we booked two back-on-back liveaboard trips in the northern Red Sea on Emperor Superior. The booking process and the communication with emperor worked very well and they responded very fast. The transfere from our hotel in Hurghada to the ship and back worked as arranged and the driver was friendly. On the ship, we were wellcomed by an amazingly friendly crew! All of them were very helpful and sozial. They joined the sozial life on board and we had a superbe time with all of them. However, the food was maybe one of the best I ever had on a holiday. There were three chefs on board, one of them only for desserts. The food tasted always very good and was freshly prepared on board. Every day, they offered buffet styled meals with a great selection of different dishes, so that everyone found something. And there was always plenty of food, so that noone had to go to bed hungry. The bar on the boat offers a variety of different alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. The alcoholic beverages are excluded and must be paid for at the end of the week, however, the softdrinks are included.Aditionally, they offered a variety of snacks for the time between the meals, as crisps, popcorn and so on.The ship itself was in a very good condition and the cabines offered enough space to store ones belongings. The divedeck was large enough as well and acommodated all the divers comfortabely, eventhough the ship was fully booked. And there are enough charging sockets in the main living room for charging cameras and torches. The dive guides were very good informed and gave a detailed briefing bevore every dive. They mentioned the most important facts about the dive sites and how to dive them, so that we always had a very good idea, on how we have to dive the spot to see the important places.Eventhough they offered every dive as a guided dive, you were free to go on your own (buddy team) and discover the site on your own.The diving itself was also superbe and the guides chose along with the captain very good and protected spots. So we saw an amazing variety of marine life. Word about the captain: He was amazing. Manouvered the ship very safe and tryed to search the calmest route possible.Concluding, we enjoyed our two weeks onboard very much and we are already planing to go back as soon as possible. And definitely again with the Emperor fleet.100% recomended!

A bit of a late review but I thought Id still have to report my experience here. I dived with Emperor back in July 2015. Did the 7 nights LOB aboard the Elite for what I believe was the Only The Best circuit (Elphinstone, Daedalus, Brothers). From questions before booking, to the booking process, the transfer, the boat, the staff, crew, etc.... everything went so smoothly. Most importantly is there are no hidden costs, everything is black on white and you know what you are getting or what its gonna cost you. The diving was great, experienced and friendly staff. The food was amazing on the boat, thumbs up for the cooks! So happy with them that Ill be diving with them again but this time in Sharm. Can only recommend them!

We had a wonderful trip on Emperor Superior. We did the Famous Five tour in May 2017, diving the most famous reefs and wrecks in the Northern Reef Sea. It is hard to find fault with the trip, as the food was amazing, the crew very professional, the boat extremely comfortable and the diving unbelievable. We know we will be back to explore more of the Red Sea with Emperor Divers.

Me and my husband joined Raja Laut in a fantastic trip in Wasai-Sorong, Raj Ampat.Wonderful boat and crew. Amazing dive sites with great dive guides. A special thanks for Sophie, Flo and Guillaume. If we’re looking for a bit of everything with a lot of colour - this is the place. It is not our first time in an Emperor liveaboard as we also chose this company in the Red Sea which we also recommend specially if you can join Sonia.

Emperor Divers Marsa Alam in my humble opinion is the best Red Sea dive operator, with excellent boat crew, very knowledgeable guides, a keen eye for the perfect customer service and the underwater environment, after 120+ dives with this operator(10% of my 1200+ life time dives) I keep coming back for more sharks, dugongs, clown fish, whale sharks even mantas. For UW photographers its a dream team. The boat crews do cook a very good lunch and free wifi on all the boats! Catering to both the experienced and beginning divers, all I can say is Highly Recommended!

I had booked to dive with Emperor Diver again, this time in Port Ghalib (marsa alam) diving with them on their house reef and off their boat. The dive centre is opposite the beach at the Fish Market end, there are changing rooms, drying room and rinsing facilities, Office and seating area. It is well run and Well equipped , your kit is kept there or on the boat depending on if you are diving the house reef or on the boat. The house reef stretches from Crowne Plaza hotel jetty past the intercontinental Hotel Jetty and exit via shore just before the Fish market building. It can be drifted all the way if you stay shallow in approx. 70-80 mins subject to current. .I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised by the house reef, having dived all over the world including Maldives, saw plenty including napoleon wrasse, turtles, stonefish , crocodile and some lovely banded pipefish. This makes it an idea choice for families who travel with non divers and dont want to spend the whole day away from them. This is a well established team who know their area and will do their hardest to ensure you get the best from your dives. This can be anything from recommending dive sites, how best to dive the house reef , what to look for to assisting fixing kit so you can continue to enjoy your diving.Once again Thanks to Luke, Tracey and the rest of the gang keep up the good work.

Had an amazing trip on Emperor Elite doing Simply The Best itinerary in June it truly was exactly what it said on the tin! Most incredible dives and a superb experience. The crew were fantastic and the food was beyond good. The guides were great fun and knowledgeable always had the groups safety in mind but ensured we had a fantastic time diving magnificent sites. Although an avid diver this was my first liveaboard trip and I knew it would either be the first and last or the first of many as I wasnt sure what to expect.....WELL it was the first of many and so good a group of 10 of us have already booked back on Elite for the Southern Sharks itinerary for next year!! We all cant wait and I couldnt recommend Emperor Divers any higher having been day diving with them in the Red Sea twice a year since 2007 our next trip is a mixture of both as we are doing a week at sea and a week on land and I expect it will be the same now year on year having discovered just how good Emperor Divers liveaboard trips are. Hopefully get to try out the Maldives Emperor liveaboards one day too!

At Emperor you can tell that they have been doing liveaboards for a long time and are therefore very professionally organized. You have to say that you can see the age of the superior in some places, but everything was clean and especially the diving equipment was technically in top shape. We did the Wrecks & Reefs tour, especially for the wrecks there is an extensive briefing and enough guides in the water to keep an eye on the guests. The food on board was absolutely great, there was nothing to complain about in terms of quantity, selection or quality, that was really remarkable. I would particularly like to highlight the appearance of the crew, from the captain to the boatswain, everyone behaved professionally throughout and gave us a very relaxing holiday.

Regarding the Red Sea Riverboard trip, the Rendbase Diving Center is located in El Gona (20 minutes north of downtown Hurghada), Port Galiip (3 hours south of downtown Hurghada, before going to Masa Alarm), and Sharm El Sheikh (southwest of Dahab). ), etc., a dolphin tour, dugong tour and shipwreck special trip before and after the river board, or a course-free upgrade with a non-diver, a famous company that has many advantages over 20 years. is...There are a total of 5 riverboard routes from Pore New Marina on the Hurghada side: Famous Five Cruise, Simply the Best, Reefs & Wrecks, Get Wrecked, Safaga & Brothers & Elphinstone..,The riverboard route from Port Ghalib on the Masa Alam side is also simply the Best, South & St. It was easy to schedule because there are a total of 5 routes including Johns, Daedalus & Fury & Elphinstone, Safaga & Brothers & ElphinstoneRed, and Sea Sharks...When using the river board departing from Masa Alam, it was possible to move easily by safely picking up the port to Galiip on the side...The staff at Riverboard are friendly, very professional, safe and fantastic diving, European and local foods have a higher level of expertise, especially the cakes and fruits served as desserts are very good. However, if the local spices of Egypt did not match, a separate dish without spices could be served...In addition, instant ramen imported from Korea can be cooked by the chef by hand, if requested in advance, and provided at each meal.
