A well organized dive shop, a lot of German staff who also speak English. They bring along many DMs for every level of experience and offer detailed briefings. There’s also a photographer that comes along, and you can buy pictures or videos after a review. Equipment for rent is top notch!

The introductory dive sessions are very good and we were under the water each time around 30 minutes, which is longer than the other dive clubs.

I did the Open Water Diving Course with my sister at this center. I found the people really nice, helpful and more importantly so professional in their behavior. Everything was clear. They helped us to prepare the course and everything before arriving to Hurghada. Our Instructor was very good and helped us to learn quickly.I would definitely recommend.

Hello guys, Important information for those interested in the services of Ilios, we were on a day cruise with them snorkeling etc and their photographer took a lot of pictures we agreed on $ 60 and when we received the cd they were only 19 pictures mixed with other people

This is the best place IMO to try diving.The staff is really professional and humorous. The diving points are simply stunning with amazing underwater flora and fauna. Prices are OK and the boats are comfortable. We had a great day with Ilios Dive Club. Many thanks guys!

The Dive staff was very knowledgeable, helpful and approachable. We spent 5 Days on their Diveboats and never have we felt like we were in the wrong place, like we could have gotten a better Deal or better staff anywhere else. I believe it speaks for itself when you have many returning customers on the boat, some of which face lenghty shuttle transfers every day to get to dive whith Ilios. Before every Dive there was an in-depth briefing covering the underwater features, routes, max depth and divetime. After that, the staff was very helpful with getting in and out of your gear and getting in and out of the boat. The diveguies where very accomodating of the various skill levels of the guests and were great at spotting camouflaged and rare fauna.Each day, we enyoied lunch on the Boat, prepared by the crew, which i wholeheartedly recommend. While you might hear horrorstories about the hygiene level in Egypt, we never had bad-tasting or even a spoilt meal.Sadly, whatever good one can say about the boat crew, you cannot say it about the land-based office. They repeatedly failed to fulfill their own promises (like getting fins or an apt with a diving physician for us, booking the dives we reserved, getting the right tanks ready for us). When we got ready to leave, we told them 24 hours in advance to get our bill ready. They still did not manage. The itemised bill was writen in the most convoluted way possible and only one single person in the whole office was even able to explain it to us. Due to this self-introduced difficulty in the procedure, they initially wanted to overcharge us for 250 Euro (we had prepayed most of our trips before arrival). And when we got ready to pay the bill, they pulled a currency switch on us. Even tho in the dive center, all the prices are posted in Euro, somehow their card terminal was in Egyptian Pounds only so they applied some conversion rate which was posted nowhere and we therefore had no time or opportunity to double check. Just for context, the spa in the same hotel is perfectly able to charge your card in Euros, so i know it is possible. And on the matter of our prepayment: We thougt we had payed for everything we had prebooked. But when it came time to check out, we discovered that there were some Certification Fees that did not figure on the prepayment and that we were now on the hook for. Needless to say that the prepayment was also negotiated in Euros and charged in EGP. Ahoi conversion charges. And how did we prepay, you ask? A secure payment provider was nowhere in sight. I had to fill out a paper form with my credit card details, scan it and send it to them. While i had no unapproved charges on my card to this day, the potential for abuse is immense.To summarise: the boat crew are fantastic and if the land crew were up to the same standard, Ilios Dive Club would get five Stars from me.

This diving center has real German quality and service ❤In January 2022, my husband and I were vacationing in Hurghada and decided to go scuba diving for the first time 🤿 We are very glad that we chose this particular club!The whole program went smoothly, without delay. First, everyone was given costumes and fins with masks. Then on board the chief instructor spoke in detail and with humor about the dive. Then there was a wonderful trip to the first reef. Dive by 2 people. Each had their own accompanying instructor. Husband is handsome💪 immediately understood everything and coolly immersed himself. And I (one of the whole group 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️) caught a panic attack, being in the water 🤪, refused to dive, returned on board, caught my breath. And just snorkeled over the reef while the whole group took turns diving. And I just fell in love with an insanely beautiful reef, fish, sunny overflows 😍😍😍 calmed down and realized what a fool I was) Yes, and my husband returned euphoric) everything worked out for me) The instructor was more happy than I was 😄 And yes - I almost can’t swim, but people like me are led by the hand everywhere) There was also a wonderful hearty lunch and tea and coffee) Thank you so much for such vivid emotions! I recommend this club to everyone!

We were approached in German on the beach and lured that we would get an exclusive diving course in German, especially for our 11-year-old son. We agreed, paid something. The next day, when we started there, we were 20 people there and there was no more talk of German. The dive itself was OK, the team was nice. But we just had to translate everything for our boy, who doesnt speak English very well yet. But the hammer is the photo service, we booked a package for 75 €. Because of a misunderstanding, we canceled the whole thing politely. We were then harassed, harassed and insulted by 5 different telephone numbers with messages. Disgusting, never again!

Apart from diving courses, Ilios is also responsible for the free rental of paddles and pedal boats in the beach section between Al Dau / Aqua Magic! The local staff is very hardworking and concerned about the welfare of the guests! For a fee, surfing, parasailing, speedboat, and various other activities are offered! However, the maintenance of the equipment is very much saved! The offered boat trips to diving, snorkeling and the offshore islands are well organized and highly recommended! Have repeatedly booked a boat trip with snorkelling! Very happy with the handling and the service!

Pleasant atmosphere thanks to the nice and flexible international team. The dive center is reliable and professional. The prices are cheap.The only point with potential upwards is the quality of the equipment. Unfortunately there were some shortcomings here: missing O-ring, water ingress when breathing with the octopus, two other octopus lost air. The team on the boat helps quickly, but the equipment should generally have no weaknesses.

We did the glass boat tour and the VIP tour. The first tour was lonely top! Seen a lot, great crew and great atmosphere!The second tour was also good, but unfortunately has the small aftertaste that the seller in the hotel has promised things that were not part of the program on this tour. This concerned 2 other families who had also booked with this gentleman. There was then for all at the end a decent compensation, therefore 4 stars!

Nice diving center with super nice staff.Dive boats and service are impeccable.There are many different dive sites hit and the prices are more than fair.The only criticism is the check-in.You feel left alone and have to ask for the process yourself. I felt uncomfortable over water. All things done from Germany. OWD courses booked for 2 family members. Booked 2 diving packages for 2 other family members. Credit card approval granted. Medical certificates emailed. Date made fixed. We arrived and the instructor made a face and didnt know anything. Rather listless and cheeky. Not a great first impression. I know differently. It stays that way. The trainer was great under water and finally, with the great support of the trainer, the OWD exams could be passed. Finally, discussions about payment. Conclusion: Once it was okay, but we wont visit this dive center again. Diving trips & boat crews were great. My criticism only concerns the organization of the base and the diving instructor above water.

My friend and I have the brevet with Ilios Dive plus an additional day of diving.we are both very happy! The people are all super friendly and funny. We were at all 3 days diving in the sea in another place :) Ahmed is a great diving instructor.will definitely be back! :)

The trip was nice and the staff present very friendly.Dealing off the trip was not that great.The normal price mentioned to us, which was also given to all other families, was at the end when we wanted to pay at the reception of our hotel (with a 10% discount card from the hotel) a price that was already discounted. A few more discussions were necessary before the agreed-upon thing was adhered to.🙄

I did 13 dives with Ilios in early November and everything was just perfect.First of all, the whole team is very friendly, whether it be the reception staff, the boat staff or the Dive Masters.The equipment is in very good condition, clean and modern. The rinsing tanks are very practical.The boats are spacious and you rarely find yourself stepping on them during the preparation phase.The food on the boat is very good, and for just € 5, it would be wrong to deprive yourself of it.The DMs I had to deal with were all very good, both in terms of security and in terms of relationships: Pascal (who is the only one who speaks French), Tarek, Maysara, Mustafa etc ...Before your dives, a crate system with your equipment inside prevents you from lugging your gear because it is brought directly to the boat by golf cart.After each dive, you are relieved of your bottle which prevents you from breaking your back.And Im not talking about the dives which are almost all extraordinary in the Red Sea (I had the chance to see dolphins, sharks, eagle rays, moray wrasse and many others).To conclude, past the obstacle of the German club, you will have a great time with many nationalities (Russian, German, English, French ...)I will definitely come back on my next trip to Egypt.

My wife and I were 06/2017 there (both AOWD, both> 450 TGs) for diving and were very satisfied with the team, the equipment, the food on board (at least better than in the hotel Steigenberger), the boats, the price and the dive sites. We will be back in October 2019 and we are very happy.

We made a trip to Orange Bay. Beautiful island. Then stopped at 2 places for snorkeling. These were some short stops but very beautiful. Due to illness (stomach flu), we had to cancel the second snorkel trip. This went with some effort (50% cancellation costs) but at the latest they canceled everything at no extra cost.

Frankly pretty pro I brought my 16-year-old son and his 14-year-old girlfriend who worries everyone and they loved the dive sites are magnificentThe only downside is that if you speak just French, you will be hard pressed. But otherwise if you speak English no worries

I (AOWD) and my son (Junior OWD course in the center) dived with Ilios. The staff is friendly even if the last kick is missing. The dive master was friendly and tried hard. The boat service could be a bit better (for example drinks on board, also water, must be paid separately). Confusion in payment was solved professionally and to the fullest satisfaction.

I never actually write recessions but after this experience I have to do that to protect the world from this dive club.This is by far the worst diving station I have ever seen in my life. Starting with the unsympathetic receptionist with her know-it-all style. To the equipment that is in terrible condition.As I mounted my device, I heard a whistle in my regulator. I ask if I could not get a new one. The answer was given to me: You have it anyway in your mouth what should happen already! Well I do not want to sound know-it-all only under water During the first dive I always had water in the controller and I had to change to the replacement unit. When we were on the surface again, I asked every crew member if I could get a new one? Then I was told by each member: Now do not do it anyway have a second controller anyway. After that I had finished with this diving station. The safety of your paying clientele does not seem important to you. Also, not everything is really Padi-compliant. From the whole procedure just terrible. Tarek the Boss-Dive-Guide tried to dictate everything to us like the maximum depth, etc ... Thats what every diver should calculate for himself and I have his freedom. Dear guests of the Steigenberger goes to the PDL diving station a jetty further there since you are in better hands

Unprofessional and badly organized. Unfortunately, one looks for mistakes in the guests and not in oneself.The staff is confused about their own statements and does not know their way around. After 5 years again diving, or the family vacation combined with dive. Unfortunately had to complete a refresher course, in retrospect ok for me, but the content of the course pure money rip-off (watch the video, was the theoretical part, questions were answered by me, but not discussed, did not interest anyone, then 15 minutes in the pool with various Skills, okay, then change bottle to complete the 2 mandatory dive, was a joke, so-called fun-dive swim along the beach for 25 minutes, and then for 80 euros plus equipment, a certificate, extra stamp did not exist )The next day then dive trip by boat, was completely okay relaxed atmosphere, nice guide, nice dive buddies and 2 cool dives (not very spectacular, but to relax just right)For pure diving okay.
