The dinner in Sofra restaurant was really great, we loved the food and i appreciate the staff attitude - especially great care from Alaa and Hamada. I truly recommend the starter Mohamara with the pepper, it was exceptional. Drinks were good, good offer. Thank you and we will come again if we come to Egypt :)

This is an excellent restaurant with a Middle Eastern cuisine. Really good menu choice and excellent food. The service is very good with very polite and helpful employees. The ambience is really nice and relaxed. You will love the flat bread cooked in the oven, really fresh. One word of note, the location on the map is incorrect, and we got lost trying to find it! I have informed google and asked for them to update.

The Sofia Oriental is situated in the Jaz Makadi Saraya Resort complex yet open to the public. The serve a delicious dinner with amazing quality. Outdoors seating and a kind lady making fresh Egyptian bread outside. Classic Arabia food. Amazing and would recommend to anyone :)Shout out to the amazing staff who wait on you and are so polite.

With little over an hour to spend before taking a bus (I recommend GoBus next to Luxor Station, 5-10 min walk to Sofra) we had not much options for lunch and stumbled upon Sofra.The friendly staff took us up some stairs and sat us down on their beautiful, cozy and relaxing rooftop terrace. It was a big bonus for us that the smell of horses and noise of the city disappeared completely as soon as we made it to the top. Fresh juice, tasty homemade food and small talk followed swiftly in fair portions for a more than fair price.About that: dont let TripAdvisor or Google fool you in believing this is an €€ restaurant in price. Its a € place. Although, measured in quality this tasted like an €€€ restaurant. Anyhow, €€ is wrong both ways. My compliments for the staff.Extra tip: you like fish? Order the fish casserole. Youll thank me for it.

We had a very lovely and tasty oriental dinner here with delicious startes and amazing main courses. And also we got a wondeful recommendation for a special Egyptian white wine from Mr. Mahrous. During our stay in Makadi / Hurghada, we were allowed to use an A la carte dinner. We chose Sofra and have not regretted it for a moment.Best mezzes ever! Hummus, Muhammara and mini chicken wings were delicious. Main course was fine. We were so full we skipped dessert. Outstanding service! Special thanks to Alaa who fulfilled all our wishes. Also the other employees.

Have been here several times. Food, drinks, service and ambience is just great. You can book the Sofra in the hotels of the JAZ Group in Madinat Makadi as part of the AI and we can only recommend it!!!!

The service was very good, the people friendly just a little intrusive, the food was also very good, but was only a bit too little, I was not really full. The atmosphere was very comfortable, only the music was a bit too loud for my taste. Otherwise, all in all, it was very good.

The restaurant is located in the Souk Makadi and not as in Googlemaps indicated anywhere in the golf courses. The Grillmixplatte was very extensive and delicious. It consisted of chicken, beef and lamb with grilled vegetables and rice. Overall, everything was very good and nice. Gladly again...

Der Besuch hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt. Sehr gute Küche, freundliches Personal und eine tolle Auswahl an verschiedenen Speisen. Insbesondere die Vorspeisen und das direkt vor der Tür frisch gebackene Brot waren großartig.Einziger Wermutstropfen war, dass das Wasser aus einer Karaffe ausgeschenkt wurde, daher mit Vorsicht zu genießen.Gerne wieder.
