Went with Funny Divers to do my Open Water Course whilst my partner do some daily diving. They were able to accommodate us last minute (5pm the day before) which was great. Ahmed gave me the link of the online manual so I can get started that night and do some diving right away on my first day and that worked really well! Ahmed was a great instructor, I learnt really fast :) I really enjoyed my 3 day course and I even went for another whole day diving after I got my license. Ahmed was also taking photos of the dive and sent it to us.The boat was spacious and not crowded at all! It has all the facilities you’ll need and the toilets/shower were very clean. The lunch included was great and served different protein everyday (we were with them 4 consecutive days). There’s unlimited hot drinks which were very essential to keep you warm after being in the water. The crew were all friendly and helpful too!Our overall experience with them was amazing. A lot of people we met on the boat have been diving with them for more than 10 years and kept on coming back with them and we definitely understand why. If we come back to Hurghada for some diving again, I’m sure we’ll do the same!

I got my Open Water certificate with Funnydrivers. It was so great! My couch is very experienced and show me dolphins, turtles, rays and many fishes. He also took many photos and videos for me, which make this experience more memorable. 👌👌

My 14 year old son took a three day open water certification class. He came back every day with a giant smile and some amazing pictures! And he usually has a big appetite after spending time in the water - he came back full and enjoyed the food as well! Thanks much Funny Divers!

This diving centre is one of the best. The crew really does care and this is reflected in the quality of the dives and the spirits when above water. The food is tasty and freshly cooked. All in all a superb experience!!

Our family took the open water class and spent 5 days diving on their boat. We felt like we were educated very well and were comfortable divers by the end. The atmosphere on the boat is very fun while still maintaining strict diving standards. Always felt assured underwater with Hadry or Ahmed as guides. And no better place to dive than the Red Sea. Did a PADI Open Water diver course with Funnydivers - three days with a whole-day boat trip on each day, and 2 dives on separate locations on each day, with lunch in between. Overall it was an amazing experience - putting aside the fact that diving in the Red Sea is a delight on its own, I was positively impressed both with the diving crew and the boat crew, all of whom were all around pleasant people. The diving crew was knowledgeable, professional, and adaptable, and obviously put in effort to make the experience as best as possible, not just going through the minimum required parts - making detours to see a rare animal, taking photos for you if you have an underwater camera, adjusting to your pace and expectations. The boat crew did an amazing job making everything work smoothly and going over the top helping with anything needed. I also got to enjoy some short swims in the free time between the dives.The food on the boat was astonishingly good. I honestly expected the lunch on a boat like this during a course be just a bare minimum. While it was not high cuisine, it was actually among the best dishes Ive had in my week in Egypt, and were both adjusted enough to the typical western taste, and yet feeling like it is still Egyptian / Middle-Eastern in style. It definitely was better than food in my hotel, or in the historical excursion Ive been in. It also seemed to be made with both omnivores and vegetarians in mind, presumably most of it was also vegan. Absolute kudos to the chef, who was also an overall nice guy. They also seemed to pay attention to minimizing waste - the amount of food each day was perfectly suited for the number of people, and managed to leave everyone well-fed, and yet have minimal leftovers. In general they also seemed mindful about the trash, and there was no discarding of waste in the open waters.The only downside for me was the initial communication and the information provided before the start. I had booked online via PADI before flying in to Egypt, and essentially had no idea about where the dives would be happening (general area, not specific sites), where would the boat be departing from, that already the first day would be on the boat (I considered that possibly the first day of the course might not be, though Im certainly happy it was on the boat in the end), the expected departure / arrival times on each day, group size, etc. Overall, it made me rather skeptical before the start. But Funnydivers team was actually quite responsive on email and WhatsApp, and arranged for a very timely pickup from the hotel. The things generally went very smoothly from there, so any skepticism towards them disappeared.Would definitely go with them again, and would easily recommend them!

I can really recommend funnydivers. Today i finished my padi open water course, it was a real pleasure to disover the great underwaterworld and to do it with funnydivers. I did the e-learning online, and the practical lessons in a beautiful sea. Ahmed was a very good, kind instructor, and all the other employees are also kind and very helpfull. Even the organisation, boat, food and material and picking up is awesome. So, theres no need to doubt, just dive (or do a course) with funnydivers, you wont regret!

Best diving centre in Hurghada. I have been diving with funny divers a couple of years now and every time it feels like coming home. The crew is always welcoming and this makes every diving day a special day! I did my OW and AOW with Funny divers and this also was a great experience. They took their time to explain everything and made me feel comfortable in every dive! During the day they take you to the most beautiful dive sites and they never rush a dive! In between diving there is always a great lunch and time to relax! For sure I will dive with Funny Divers Again!

Funny DiversWe recently completed a beginners dive during our visit to Hurghada and had an incredible experience with the funny divers team. My partner already has her advanced licence but Funny divers were very accommodating appreciating that we would like to dive together. My partner and I dove with Hadry who was both professional and knowledgeable about the dive sites we visited in the Red Sea. He made sure that we were safely guided around the two dive sites, frequently checking that we were both ok. It was clear that Hadry was an experienced diver, taking time and care, pointing out marine life including a moray eel, blue spotted ray, lion fish and numerous other amazing sea creatures. Toward the end of the day he kindly took a photo of us together whilst diving which was greatly appreciated and will make our holiday photobook.To add to this exceptional experience the rest of the team were well organised, friendly, funny and worked hard to ensure that the day was enjoyable. We were collected and dropped off by a Funny Divers team member and they were on time and professional. The training was comprehensive, as a beginner diver I was particularly impressed with the level of detail and thoroughness to ensure my safety for the day. The kit was well maintained and functional. During the afternoon it was brilliant to have a brief break to eat lunch, the cuisine was delicious and food plentiful. The boat was comfortable, clean and spacious. Overall we had an amazing experience and look forward to diving with funny divers again!

Excellent price, quality and experience. The instructors are experienced and very good teachers. The Open Water Diver course was explained clearly and the learning proces was intuitive and followed our pace. The boat rides are never dull as the whole crew is always ready for a chat and a laugh. I received my open water certification through Funny divers and the entire experience from start to finish was exceptionally enjoyable!! The crew was so helpful and my instructor, Ahmed, led me to success throughout the course. Everyone was of assistance in preparing my gear at the beginning and eventually teaching me how to prepare it on my own! I feel well equipped to dive as an open water diver thanks to Funny divers! Also, the food on the boat was awesome! Made friends with all of the other divers and my instructor too. He was also kind enough to take photos of me throughout the dive and share them. I did the 2 dives trip in late March, 2021. It was GREAT and I highly recommend it. They talked us through our concerns about scuba diving and i felt very safe. Lunch was good. The photos and videos they took were great. The coral and fish were beautiful. The wet suits were enough to keep me fairly warm. This was one of my favorite experiences in the entire 2 week vacation in Egypt

Funny divers provided excellent dive trips for me and two friends around Easter : 8 am pick up from hotel, 9 am boat departure, a dive before and after lunch. Return to resort, including taxi transfer, by 4 or 5 pm. Skilled, multilingual and helpful staff that also lets you dive acording to your own skills. Dive sites can be a bit crowded - but thats the Red Sea.

Thanks to Funny Divers for an awesome 4 days scuba diving in the Red Sea off Hurghada. Great value for money (€50 for full day on boat, 2x dives, all equipment, lunch, coffee/water etc), the boat is excellent, the staff are all friendly and up for a laugh and Ahmed is a fantastic divemaster - we saw giant moray eels, a manta ray, turtles and much more. Ahmed also took photos and videos during the dive and sent them to me straight after. My only regret was going with another dive company on my first day here.

Amazing crew, Ahmed is amazing, he made us feel very comfortable and made sure we had the best gear. We were lucky to have him as our instructor, we dived at El Fadanir north and El Fadanir south. The marine life is really beautiful.We saw octopus 🐙, lion fish , loads of 🐠 🐟, black spotted eel, manta ray.I would strongly recommend funny divers, there are loads of dive Centers in hurghada but I would recommend funny divers for a pleasant, fun and safe experience.Thank you Ahmed for an amazing time, hope to dive with you again in the future.
