ESCĀ is great! The moment you enter the place you feel like you made a right choice. Cool ambiance, welcoming staff and a nice menu. We ordered the shiitake soup which was very creamy and the tomato soup which was extremely fresh. As a side we shared the prawns, they were fresh and tasty. For the first course, we tried both the ravioli and the truffle risotto, can’t say which is better but they are both gorgeous. For the main course, the short ribs were tender and delicious. The side of herbed potato wedges was under seasoned though but that’s not a big deal. We also tried the chef’s sushi selection, many of them were really awesome but some were quite ordinary, but in general not at all bad.The staff is extremely helpful and hospitable. Ibrahim in particular was great and gave us a lot of nice tips for the food. We thank him for a lovely evening.

ESCA was a delightful experience. The food was great, the atmosphere unique and elegant and the service was excellent.It is on the pricy side, so wont be going back so regularly.Make a reservation to avoid being rushed or not seeing the dessert list!

As we continue to visit the local restaurants in Cairo, our next stop was Escā in Heliopolis.Host: pleasant and somewhat cooperative.Seating: Chairs are comfortable, tables are nice but the couches are too soft allowing for guests to sink into the couch. It makes for an uncomfortable eating position as the table was chest high.We did ask to be sat at a high table and they apologized saying that they were reserved. However the 2 tables that we were asking to be sat at was never filled throughout the night. We did not understand why they would not try to accommodate us. Staff:nice and try to do their best, still needs more experience with serving in a high end restaurant. At times not attentive and had to fill our own glasses for drinks.Food: Prices are high comparing to the portion size. Starters: We ordered the calamari fritti (270LE) - very nice, good tasting and fair portion size for the price. Korean chicken bites (240LE) - fair portion size - excellent- very tasty and cooked well. Spicy Shrimp Tempura (290 LE) - very good-excellent taste however only came with 5 pieces of shrimp. Gourmet Cheese Platter (400LE) nice collection of cheeses but very little amount for the price. Grilled Chicken Cesar Salad (260 LE) - horrible! Do not eat it, do not order it. It is not a chicken Cesar salad at all! This is the main reason for our 3 star rating. The manager tried to make up for it, he said he would make it up with a different salad and never replaced it.Main courses: Rib eye (750 LE) it was supposed to be 350 grams of meat to which it was not. Extremely overpriced and the temperature was not cooked as desired. They need to increase the portion or decrease the price. Sushi: we ordered the Omakase (635LE) this was an ok collection, Mostly cooked. Crispy roll (200LE) was good! Shrimp crunchy roll (4 pieces for 115LE) - good but small quantity. Overall rating for the food: not a lot of options for sushi and most of it is cooked/fried. Overpriced and portions are small compared to the price you are paying. And DO NOT order the chicken Cesar salad.The service charge for a bottle of alcohol is 500LE - which you get nothing for it. Half the time we had to fill our own glasses. We think that they stop the air conditioning about an hour prior to their close making the restaurant so cloudy from all of the smoke. When we left the restaurant, we smelled like an ash tray - and only one of the people smoked in our group (and they sat on opposite ends from us). One of our friends had difficulty retrieving his coat. And they had a difficult time giving us a bag for our bottle when we left (although we brought it in a bag). Often times we asked for things that were never brought to us. One of our friends did not get a dinner plate and when asked multiple times to different people she never received one having to share a plate with someone else at the table. We asked for apple juice for one of our friends and never received it. In conclusion, we might revisit in a few months, but if we have the same experience with the staff and ventilation leaving us to smell like an ash tray, we would never return. As proper ventilation is mandatory during the times of Covid! Manager/Host needs to stay until the end to make for a smooth departure for all guests. Or if they do not, please do not demand to take guests coats as it is difficult to retrieve it at the end of the night.

ESCA is one of those places that you will instantly fall in love with the moment you step through the door. The ambience, decorations, and entire vibe of the place is truly on point.We ordered their chicken Caesar salad to start with, and It was a great choice, and the portion was definitely ideal!For the main courses, we chose their Ribeye Steak which was cooked to perfection, and was flavorful and tender. We also got the Veal Schnitzel (my favorite). The veal was crispy but not too chunky which was also a plus!Last but not least, I’d like to personally thank our waiter (Captain Youssef). He was attentive, courteous, friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the items in the menu.One of their managers also swung by our table to get our feedback on the food, and he was very interested in knowing how we found the food and the overall experience. They definitely got some extra pointers from us just for that simple, yet awesome gesture.If you’re looking for a fine dining cuisine with top quality food, then ESCA should be on your list of places to go to.

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! Very friendly staff, Amazing ambience, and Perfect Service. If you’re thinking about going for a date there, don’t! You will not regret it. Mohamed Ali the Superstar of this place no words to describe this man, Hazem too was very friendly, nice and helpful. Also Food is great! Several dishes were ordered, all of them were very tasty and nice.

The place is beyond ravishing and the vibes are super chill. The staff was the nicest, especially Mohamed Ali who was absolutely hilarious and made me and my friend smile a lot.The candles were such a mood, drinks were pleasurable and the sushi was so delicious. It’s true that my friend left back to the US but I’m still here and definitely coming back again soon.Highly recommended!

Our experience at ESCĀ was very different from any of the high end restaurants in Cairo. It is not just about their marble steak, their perfectly balance tomato soup, their delicious truffle ravioli, nor the atmosphere that perfectly blends it all together. Its their love and obsession to give a top notch service. The genuine love of service that Mohamed Ali gives you is unprecedented.I highly recommend this experience.

Mohamed Ali waiter was exceptional, helped me to get cigarettes doesnt exist in the restaurant. Up to the standard and above, he did his best. Place had been renovated, you can hear the guest 2 tables away from you. Camamber used to be better. Now its is smaller and served differently. Fine Dining, anyways would advise to visit this place.

One of Egypts best restaurants. Everything on the menu is heavily conceptualized and very carefully thought out. Asian fusion cocktails bridging European flavors with those of the Far East. Try the grilled octopus appetizer for a burst of flavor that you will never forget. The Duck Rangoon offers an extremely interesting cross-cultural twist and the Hazelnut Chicken Liver is simply bomb. Plenty of fusion inspired mains and a 12-hour-braised Beef Ravioli that delivers on both aspects; taste and texture. The desserts are elegant, sophisticated and unique to ESCA.

A great addition to heliopolis restaurants. Its expensive, but the food is very good, drinks are priced within the same range of similar restaurants, and the service is excellent. It requires reservation, you can do it online or by phone. I have tried the rib eye steak and and it was well cooked , with nice subtle flavour. The only disappointment was the dessert , the dates with marshmallow was not a good choice . But I will still give them 5 stars because I am certain that other desserts could be much better, just avoid that one

The place is a low key restobar, great for fine dining & dates.A dinner date for two can start from 1500 EGP including drinks and desserts.We enjoyed a dinner course of pan seared salmon with sauteed veggies.The dessert was the Date Alaska which is a dates cake (almost same as carrot cake texture and feel) topped with torched marshmallows.A bottle of a rose sangria complemented our evening.The staff are very friendly and engaging, well aware of the menu and the recipes and they know how too recommend dishes for you.

It is surely one of the best places, if not the best, for international cuisine in Cairo and in Egypt as a whole. The food here is delicious, ranging from appetizers to main courses to desserts, the staff are very polite, service is quick, and the decor and atmosphere are very pleasing.

A very bad experience! They serve samples of food in the main course to oblige you to order a starter or a salad to feel full !!!!!! As of course, their main course is a kids meal, suitable only for a 3 years old customer!!!And their responses are sooo provoking!Also, only 1 chicken dish.. 2 beef.. 1 lamb.. and 4 sea food! No variety!Bad experience.

Beautiful place for couple dinner... great music and atmosphere ,the service is excellent we ordered the bao buns which for both of us tasted weird then the 12 hour braised ravioli was perfect I though the portion was small when i first saw it but actually I could not finish it. We ordered the beef fillet plate and it was not as expected It was nice but not amazing... Ill definitely go this place again just for thr whole experience

Esca is a gem in Heliopolis. Walking distance from most places in the area and Le Meridian hotel it is a classy upmarket and tastefully decorated intimate restaurant. The menu is well thought out and covers everything from seafood to meat and pasta and risotto. The octopus was heavenly and the baked camembert was to die for as shared starters. The Moscow Mule for a cocktail was an interesting mix as was the New York sours. We were served by friendly waiters all dressed in black. Well worth the money spent.

Thank you ESCA, couldn’t be more perfect than that. I really recommend spending a wonderful evening there. The staff are cheerful, helpful and welcoming. The food is extremely tasty.
