Always get it in small round bread (kaizar), that’s the original and authentic Egyptian shawerma experience.You may have to wait for the order as it gets really busy during the day, but totally worth it! One of a kind.There’s no place to sit, it’s take away only. Or you can sit in your car, and someone will come get your order.Mango juice is also worth trying

Very tasty quick shawarma in an easy to eat sized bun. It is extremely popular so prepare to stand in queue, but the service is efficient. Highly recommend the mango juice as well, its like drinking a real mango.

The best shawerma in all of EGYPT!!! You have to have a cup of their mango juice too. Be better prepared for CHUNKS of mangoes! They come to your car to take orders. Orders arrive in a matter of minutes. I once ordered 12 sandwiches and it took them less than 10 minutes to prepare all of them. Very hard to park in front of the store.

Honestly quite dissapointing. It appeared on the food tour belly en route so I had high expectations. Because of Covid there was no seating area and the place where you order was very crowded. Now the shawerma was a true dissapointment. The meat was sour and I saw many people comment saying that they put an excess of vinegar in it. The orange juice was ok but it was not fresh and has grated ice cubes in it. I hear people say that it used to be a great place but the quality has definitely diminished.

Unlike other people, I did not like it that much. Meat was so chewy, salty and had a ton of vinegar on it. The best thing was their Mango juice; which is considered their own signature drink.

I found about this place through few YouTube food blogger videos. We made the effort to find and go to this place at night it did not disappoint. We tried the shawarma bun and the shawarma wrap. They were excellent and full of flavor. Perhaps the best shawarma I have had. The icing on the cake was their Mango 🥭 juice. I must say mango 🥭 juice in Egypt 🇪🇬 are very good. If you are looking for good food and happen to be in the area I would recommend visit at Abou Haidar Shawarma. This place is usually very busy but the service was very quick. I am glad I tried this during my visit to Cairo.

Very good. This is a street vender so be prepared to stand outside on a crowded sidewalk. It was very busy but well worth the wait. I ordered 3 shwarma buns (basically shwarma sliders) and spicy pickled vegetables as recommended by a review on trip advisor. Their menu is in Arabic and they dont speak much English (but can understand an order fine) so if you are like me and dont speak Arabic look up online what to order in advance. The buns are by far the most popular. It is very cheap at 50 Egyptian pounds for 3 buns and pickles (about $4 CAD). They carve the meat the same way as shwarma places in Canada but it is spiced different and they mix the shavings with what looks and tastes like tabbouleh giving it a very unique flavor. I didnt see any garlic sauce. There may be some but it was too busy so I didnt ask. They also call out the order numbers in Arabic. I was happy enough to have some friendly people help me but it might be good to know what the numbers sound like in Arabic before you go. Very good food I would highly recommend it

I dont know why its overcrowded. I really didnt like it and I tried it twice. You cant taste the meat because they add a lot of spices. its like eating spices in a bun. I dont recommend it at all. My friends didnt like it too and I tried it once with my family and they didnt like it.

I know this shawerma place since 1970. The quality is still as good. I had shawerm in many places in Egypt 🇪🇬 and also in Lebanon 🇱🇧, Syria 🇸🇾, Jordan 🇯🇴, Turkey 🇹🇷 and many other countries around the world. Non of them would even come close to Abu Haidar

Their mango juice is something that you must try! Also, this is the only branch they have. Its sad that they do not deliver, but I guess its part of why its great.

Their shawerma is perfect; juicy and the sourness is on point. The mini buns is a cute idea however I believe it is over priced. Shawerma in a French toast is cheaper and tastes the same. Their mango juice is also 10/10. Took a star because of the over pricing and no dining in and is a very small restaurant compared to the popularity it has

Decent street food, always busy no place to park but well worth the wait

Very busy all day, if you are going with your car you will wait in a line, make your order and police will come to ask you to move. In this case you need to take a tour and join the line again till your food is ready. If you go on foot, you will wait a lot until you make your order, it is super crowded. I did not find their shawerma exceptional, it is not bad but because of the overwhelming requests, shawerma does not stay long enough to be properly cooked. Overall the experience is not bad but I would not go there specifically to buy food, there are better shawerma restaurants.

Came here bc every local I know told me I had to. Unfortunately, not my type of shwarama. Its busy, parking is a hassle and very limited place to sit. Everyone is friendly, when they realized we didnt know Arabic and we had small kids they expedited our order so we could leave.
