We waited for 30 min on Friday as there is no reservations but its worth the wait, the menu is very minimal and there is a minimum charge of 300 EGP per personThe hand cut french fries is super tasty and crunchy, the grilled checked was amazing and the chicken liver as well. The salads portion is very satisfying. The service and the staff are average. The view and the atmosphere is lovely
* Latest Famous Andrea Restaurant Opened in New Geza City.* On Top of a Hill looking over Sheikh Zayed and 6th October Cites.* Big Landscape Garden Covered with a Sails Shades underneath it Distributed the Tables.* Egyptian Cosine Menu.* Welcoming is a Bit Odd unless You are Known to the Owner.* Clientele are Posh Egyptians and Arab Tourists .* Atmosphere is a Family Orientated.* Owner always there running the Restaurant so ;* Cleanliness is Good* Services are Good .* Quality of Food is Good.* Its became the In place to go when you visit Cairo.* Prices are not Cheap but Worth it.* The View is a Part of the Attraction.
The place is full of greenery and the atmosphere is nice. I went in July and stayed outdoors as the wind is pleasant and most tables are shaded. Eventhough the view is mainly desert, i like how vast it was. They even have some animals in display. The menu is kind of poor. They removed the shish tawook. They don’t even have a vegetable sidedish option, it has to be fries.I absolutely love the baba ghanoug. The bread is freshly baked and served. The prices are good. The bathrooms are clean. We went at 16:00 it was fine, but then it started getting crowded with a waiting list. No reservations.Good parking options.Good customer service.Would definitely go again.
Hello from Cairo...First time in ANDREA - Marioutiya...This place is great and surely YOU have to visit and enjoy it!WHY???Simply because the ambiance is very welcoming and charming with a stunning panorama, amazing wine Le Jardin Du Nil , superlicious food and service. The Chicken liver was delicious but the Semman and the Grilled Chicken were amazing ...to die for.Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and gave us a great experience. As I thank my dear friend (faithful customer) for chosing Andrea, I advise you to do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant with absolutely one of the best meal we had while in Cairo.Highly recommended.Cheers !!Jocelyne
Food taste has deteriorated much since I last visited a year ago.Their BBQ chicken didn’t have the distinctive taste it used to have, no more Thyme for the marination.Bland taste for the kofta & chicken liver
The greatness of this place is undisputed. Many have tried to copy this place and even steal its name, atmosphere and identity but they all failed because they simply cannot come close. You just can’t have the atmosphere, view, quality of service and the freshness of the food anywhere else. The quails are a must, also the grilled chicken and the chicken liver plate are super. Even the bread there tastes special!
Fresh, delicious food & nice view, the place is in open air so sometimes flies can be annoying, there are still some dogs moving between the tables yet it decreased lots than before, the service is good yet if faster it would be better, still the ambiance is lovely & the community is well selected. If they just stop restricting people where & where not to sit, I am sure guests will be happier & feel more confortable in the place yet the places priority is always for travel agencies & touristic groups.
They have a great view along with delicious grilled food. Actually they are limited with only two types of main dishes chicken and Seman plus different side dishes, however, you will diffenetly enjoy them.Service is great but place is always crowded so i recommend to have an infront reservation.Place is serving alcohol. If you want to have an oriental breakfast i definitely recommend it, they are also great on breakfast but u have also to have a reservation. Keep in mind that they dont serve cappeccino in the morning only turkish and coffee with milk.
An old name in the world of Egyptian restaurants. The location is fabulous. The food menu is very very limited but the taste is great. The employees are apathetic and old fashion. The best location in the restaurant is reserved for “companies” that never show, so putting individual guests in the worse location in the back surrounded by stray dogs that were barking and fighting with each other all the time.
Everyone made a big deal about the place and the food. Place is nice but not out of the world place. I was told if you want to eat chicken, this is the place, Im not so sure. Chicken is just soaked with rosemary, no specific uniqueness to it, just overwhelming rosemary flavor. Appetizers arent that great compared to other restaurants around Cairo and Egypt. Overall, is NOT a place that I would go to again, to eat chicken or anything else!
The worst experience ever.I went with my family “2 persons & 1 old lady” it was very crowded with a huge waiting list. I did it mind to wait. But after an hour and half I found the they pushed my name in the bottom of the list to let other group with 13 person and when I asked for the manager he didn’t care at all and told me if you don’t like it you can leave.Disrespectful and arrogant manager.
Price wise is expensive, yet excellent hygienic precuations (obviously with respect to Egyptian poor standards). Food as always is tasty, and fresh. Being a vegeterian newbie, I was surprised to still find something to eat and get satisfied.
Remote location, yet very crowded on Fridays. Good food but very limited variety of chicken only.. and expensive
Everytime you go you will have same quality taste. Very good restaurant
The food itself is quite delicious if youre into grilled chicken/meats and mezzas. The service can be a bit underwhelming if you dont look/act the part (high life posh).
The food is good, the variety of food is very limited, only grilled chicken and 3-4 more items. The stuff was very VERY vulgar and unwelcoming, they almost wanted to fire us because our kids was making some noise!! It’s not recommended for families since the owners are very very unprofessional with guests!! And by the way, the owner (the old man called Omar Rateb or something ) is the worst owner and manager ever.
Extremely overrated, and overpriced. Menu basically consists of frozen chicken, marinated and grilled to cover up the poor quality and served with fries drenches in oil! Didn’t finish my meal, and left with a stomachache.
An amazing freshly baked bread served with yummy grills! The place offers a small number of options but they all are heavenly good! Very limited vegetarian options but the grilled chicken and quay. On Friday morning, they serve traditional pies feteer that is highly recommended but you have to book in advance!
Ok dinner cruise. You dont really see much from the boat and the food is not that good. Buffet style that gets picked over quickly and they are slow to refill both food and plates. However the entertainment is a blast. The belly dancer is very engaging and the whirling driving act is very impressive.Book this cruise for the entertainment and not for the food or view and you will enjoy yourself. If you want the total package go elsewhere.
Staff are very rude, very bad service, eventhough our bill was more than 4000EGP they were pushing us to leave the place as soon as we finished eating! plus they dont accept phone reservations!
A Cairo staple that is frequented by locals. I remember this place from my childhood! Thirty years later and it did not disappoint! Love and loved it ! Fresh squeezed lemonade,, home made bread and mezza with a beautiful view of the desert. Let them quide you as to what to order for appetizers, I had the grilled quail for my main dish. Exceptional!! Thank you, thank you!
Worst service one could ever get. They reserve empty tables for what they call “travel companies” which is their clients while disrespecting other clients. I don’t recommend this restaurant for anyone. The staff are very unprofessional and unfriendly and the worst part is that management are unprofessional as well and accordingly there is no one to talk to! Also, the food is terrible. I do not recommend this place.
Inconvenient... Dogs running and barking inside the restaurant!!!Over all is Food above average... Yet No dessert.Silly minimum charge. 300 While the main dish is for 75. Many ppl leaving with bags of food as they where forced to over order to cover the minimum charge.Location and atmosphere are good regardless the dogs.A lot of room for improvement.
Beautiful place... Andrea is one of the most beautiful, authentic restaurant in Egypt... 30 years ago it was already the case in another location... (El mariouteya).
Amazing setting and view. Food very good, but could get better! Good value for money. Recommend.
Great food and atmosphere but the kitchen is very noise you could hear the clattering of plates. Very limited options in the menu
It used to be good , but the food is not good as before And the management is failure. Sorry to see this place deteriorating. I used to have good memories there.
Nice place, amazing view and good food.Very limited food menu but this allow them to make a very fast service. Some of my friends faced a problem as dogs walk normally between the tables while you are eating (They look like street dogs but also look clean some how).Hosts are very polite and professional.
Nice set up and greenery, very poor customer service and our very simple order (menu has very few options ) took 50 mins! This place needs some music instead if listening to loud people on other tables.Don’t think would come again.
Very tasty grilled chiken, sish tawook and as appetizer they offer chicken livers and vine leaves stuffed with rice
One of the best restaurants for grilled chicken. They have a style that didnt change over the years. Consistency in the quality of food. Sometimes they are very crowded specially during the vacations.
Good restaurant nice food, staff is Kind and prices are good
It was one of the worst experiences ever! The chicken felt off the fries was so oily. I communicated the waiter that the fries was either fried in an old or cold oil. Anyhow we paid 520 le for one the worst meals we ever had. We didn’t even finish our plates. Then 3 hours later i had a stomach ache and diarrhea.
If I could share less I would do it ,Food is normal but staff are the worst as in most of Egyptian restaurants.First they say we have minimum charge of 300 Egyptian pound which is not written anywhere ,then the waiter came and said it depends on what you order we will put a minimum charge or not which is weird and not understandable they we ordered three meals with drinks and water ,each meal supposed to have a side dish Fremantle fries the waiter bring only two and when I asked for the other one he said we added more fries in this two dishes more than the normal and that’s why we bring only two 😂😂I didnot know what to say for this stupidity
Great view and nice weather, food is ok but not great like the orginal branch
The place is super crowded, poor management and nothing called social distance there. Service is awful getting us each item separately at a time. And when complained they said we are serving others as well !!! .. putting 300 pounds minimum charge is so unprofessional knowing that their clients are paying much already for the exaggerated prices. Food is average, nothing special, I believe this place is oneof the top overrated restaurants in Egypt.
The food quality is not good, nice view though!
It was a great family day and the food was very good, the view was extremely attracted but you have to reserve your table first before going,so that you dont wait alot.
A very tasty food 😋, friendly staff 😍And fantastic View..Just love it
Perfect view , poor menu, food average
The replacement of the famous old Mariotiyah branch. Excellent view. Food was very tasty. Wide selection of starters. Stick to chicken of course. They only serve Heineken beer, how can such an authentic Egyptian place not serve Stella beer as well?! The head waiter brought the bill before we asked for it. Someone must tell him that this is unprofessional
Over rated so crowded in holidays less tasty than andrea mokatam..little varities
I genuinely don’t understand the hype around this place. The food was far from impressive. Some items, like the vine leaves, were inedible.Service was OK.The view was not worth in my opinion- although that could have been a result of the dusty weather conditions when I visited.Definitely wouldn’t return or recommend.
The restaurant was very nice and the food was delicious but weather was cold
Great but need to be strong for the long waiting list so eat before visiting
The view is fantastic and the food tastes great. There were a few errors in the service however overall, its a 5/5 would definitely recommend
Great food .. awsome view and moodAmazing sides
The view is great, the atmosphere is superb and food is delicious, however i wish they had more to offer on the menu.
Place is very spacious and has a wonderful view. Food was good.
Great service, liked the appetizers. The chicken grilled with rosemary was good
Great food and view! Delicious appetizers and chicken 👌🏼
Nice view but the food wasnt the best and is over priced.
As usual a great place to enjoy a meal with a great view, surrounding, staff
Many other places can offer the same food types offered over there and may be in a better taste, but surely for a lower price. The window tables view is great as it high, plus the service and restaurant are somehow classy, in addition to some Egyptian farmers style women baking outside and ready to have some photos with guests.
Excellent view and food. The BBC chicken tasted a little different than old days, but still encouraging to go back again. Side dishes are signatures of Andrea.
The best New destination for making your wedding party. Also great panoramic view.
One of the worst places in terms of hospitality, very rude owner and the staff have the same attitude,,, Not recommended at all..
