I will say what a deplorable condition the buildings are old, radiant, and stained. Student affairs are overflowing and the staff’s treatment is complicated.... The stairs, the shape and length of the stairs are overwhelming, and the elevator is for the doctors, but.... I swear to God, it is a top college defect, and the same people are looking forward to get it, and there is no development, maintenance and scenes that block the soul.

Its history relates to the history of the modern Egyptian Renaissance. The credit for this is due to its origin, the leader of the scientific renaissance in Egypt at the time, Sheikh Refa`ah Rafi al-Tahtawi (1216 AH / 1801 - 1290 AH / 1873) in the year (1351 AH / 1835) who was aspiring to form a generation of intellectuals who would be a link between Arab and Western culture involved in literature Arabic and in the literatures of foreign languages, are able to Arabize foreign books, and to advance government administration in the positions entrusted to them from positions. The Al-Alsun school, since its establishment in the early era, fulfilled the hopes it had been entrusted with, and presented the country with geniuses of translators.School goalsThe goal of the school, when it was established in 1352 AH / 1836AD, was:Graduating translators to serve government departments and schools.Create a pen for translation from its graduates. And when the laws of education were established in the year (1836/1837 AD), their purpose became:Graduating translators.Provide other private schools with students who know the French language. The first class was graduated from Al Alsun School in 1839.Recognition is fairAl-Alsun School was exposed during its long history that exceeded a century and a half of closure, in some periods. Fortunately, the school was reopened in 1951, and the study was evening, allowing university students to master foreign languages. The revolution also surrounded the Al-Alsun School due to its attention to the importance of studying languages. In 1957, a decision was issued to establish the Al-Alsun Higher School, whereby it became among the higher institutes granting its graduates a bachelor’s degree, and Al-Alsun became the only high school in the Middle East to study languages with a special study with special attention to translation. On December 20, 1973 the Republican Decree No. 1952 was issued to annex the “High Alsun” school to Ain Shams University, an independent college in the name of the Alsun College.
