The Sultan Qaytbay Collection in the Mamluk Desert is a famous antique architectural group in Cairo built in Islamic style dating back to the era of Circassian Mamluks. The group includes several facilities, such as a mosque, a school, its annexes, a dome, a spiel, a book, a seat for the Sultan, a waterfighting basin, and a quarter for the establishment of Sufism. The group was created during the period from 877 AH / 1472 CE to 879 AH / 1474 CE by order of Sultan Al-Ashraf King Abu Al-Nasr Qaytbay Al-Mahmudi Al-Ashrafi then Al-Dhahri Circassian Origin one of the rulers of the Mamluk state during the era of the Circassian Mamluks, and before the Sultanate was topped one of the princes of Sultan Al-Ashraf Barsbay, then the Sultan bought it Al-Zahir Jokmaq was released, and he was promoted to positions during the reign of Al-Ashraf Inal, then Al-Dhahir Khashkad was apparent in Bayai. When Khair Bey revolted against Al-Zahir Tamerbaga, the military agreed on the Sultanate of Qaitbay and pledged allegiance to him in the year 872 AH / 1468 CE, to become the fifteenth of the Circassian kings and their children in Egypt and the forty-first of the Turkish kings and their children, and he was fifty-four years old at the time
