Nile cruise, EgyptThis was journey through the nile river from the lower kingdom of Egypt to the upper kingdom (so called). To be precise its a 3 day journey from Aswan to luxor. This was mystical journey through the ancient Ruins on the banks of the nile. Going deep into ancient Egyptian culture and exploring beyond the pyramids and the sphinx.The pyramids are the tip of the iceberg but the original culture, philosophy and politics lies here in these remote and deserted places.The nile itself is a strange river which flows from south to north and within the desert and the strange part is the northern delta region of the Nike which exactly resembles a papyrus plant when seen from above. And its not a wonder that papyrus itself is considered sacred in Egyptian mythology, thoth the great God of writings was supposed to have gifted the papyrus plant to the Egyptians. And only here this strange plant grows, on both sides of the river.There are many places you visit during this journey. Every temple has a different vibration when you step inside them. Every temple has different history. Ill share pics and stories of the different temples separately in some other posts. In this post I tried to stick with the overall cruise itself.I was in a luxury cruise everything was according to European standards.but all these futile things goes into vain when you find yourself lying on the deck middle of the desert with moon light an the milky way above you. And you point out the belt of orion in the sky imagine Osiris watching you visiting his land and the marvels his childrens created. This feelings brings tears to your eyes. If you are deeply intersted in Egyptian civilization you wont forget the journey.Luxor previously was known as thebes it was the capital of ancient Egypt. Our Journey ended here. The city is filled with glory of ramasesis 2 the great Pharaoh who said to have been the Pharaoh of Moses and was buried into the red sea. Later a prophecy by the prophet of Islam said that when the body of ramesis 2 would be found then the world would start to move twowords Qayamat or judgement day. Strangely his body was found in 19th century and from that man discoverd few weapons to destroy earth. Makes you wonder, isnt?Thanks and Regards.
