Been student there for 5 years ...great place and good memories , some of the professors are not good and shouldnt be teaching at all , also some syllables are way too old and arent used in the job market nowadays, also the buildings there are old and need to be renewed and refurnished and the toilets need to be plumped and renewed

Vintage and history to be proud of (which explain the 4 stars), and negligence but not gross (which explains the missing star). Evidence is clear in both cases, beginning with the majestic wrought iron door at the gate, imposing and delicately ornamented, truly worthy of applied arts. The buildings are poorly maintained, with dim lights and dirty restrooms, whose plumbing needs revamping.Still, a pleasure to visit.

Very friendly staff.Some professors arent human enough to teach tho : but mostly they are good.Not too much respect for the students there.I have been there 5 years, and actually it has improved during those years.

It is good but so full of cars

Situated in the heart of the island of Zamalek is Egypts oldest fine arts faculty, which is administered by Helwan University. The prestigious school was established in 1908, two years before it was incorporated into the Egyptian National University (which later became Cairo University). It has seen its campus getting relocated to different areas in Cairo before the inauguration of its current campus in Zamalek in 1935 in the early days of King Farouks rule.Ever since its establishment, the schools graduates brought forth iconic artistic projects in different fields; massively contributing to the flourishing arts scene in Egypt throughout the 20th century.Today, the facultys 2017 graduating class proves that, despite all the bureaucracy and the rapid deterioration of higher education in Egypt, the flame of fine arts still burns high in the heart of Zamalek; producing generations upon generations of great artists in different realms of artistic expressions. Despite the old worn out buildings its got creativity still running through the bones. Its the best for the home-y feeling it gives.

One of the few public colleagues in Egypt where you can really have a good education. Proud to be a graduate .
