Good hotel, acceptable rooms, but the staff were great. They helped out a lot for my wife who wasnt feeling well. Breakfast is awesome with great staff. We actually walked out of a different Cairo hotel earlier in the day because the staff was not pleasant or accommodating. Completely different attitude here.

They need better customer service. We had an issue with our booking and they werent clear about what was going on, we waited an hour to get a room, after having booked online two weeks before arrival. Its understandable that it may not have been their fault but they needed to better communicate what was going on, as we were sitting in the lobby with four children.

I stayed in this hotel for about 7 days. The 5 stars are not for the rooms or complex but for the breakfast staff. Especially misses Ola Mohamed who every morning greeted us with the warmest smile. As soon as I entered the breakfast area she would have my coffee ready just the way I liked it. She remebered all our wants and needs and catered to it with grace. Her heart warming personality made our mornings.

We were quite annoyed by the fact that two out of three rooms we booked were just available a fair bit after 4 pm ( official check in is at 3 ) and that after we got told our rooms will be done at 1. There was a huge chaos in the reception with hundreds of people running around with no one even wearing a mask. The hotel is not worth the money, you can get a better and calmer one for the money you spend for this one.

The hotel is in a very good location in the middle of everything for a tourist. The check in process needs more speed maybe by dedicating a person for the online check in. The valet parking also needs focus. Coming to the rooms. I was unlucky to get a room towards the constitution site which will be an ugly view with dust and noise but thanks to the team cooperation they changed to a smaller one but better furniture and view. The elevators are terrifying so old and not robust or at least you feel that.

Great place to stay, very convenient for moving around the city and take a good vibe of Cairos rythm. The view is absolutely amazing, the personnel is very kind and helpful and the restaurants inside the hotel offer many different types of food and tastes. You have to try the fish, the local beer and the wine 🍷- The roof garden restaurant OPIUM is a must! There is a bank that you can exchange money that is open 24/7. And the safety is in a very high level.

Stayed 4 nights and I agree with all the ones saying this hotel is far from being a 5 stars hotel. The fact that is an old building doesn’t mean the hotel have to give the feel of being old and abandoned. Everything is dark, the room are dated, stains everywhere, things broken, lights not working, noisy AC plus They don’t have outlets to connect your devices, etc.Front desk is another disappointing point in this hotel, from the check-in it doesn’t feel a good costumer service, they get upset is you ask question and everything is so fast pace. They omit basic hotel information like telling you where to have breakfast and schedules. It’s also inexistent, tried call them from the room several time, never answered.

Worst experience ever here at this hotel. Called earlier this morning to make a reservation for two rooms and by the time I was here to check in they started adding extra charges to one of the rooms just because my friend is not an Egyptian while the two rooms were booked by two Egyptians which was not told to us when we did the reservation over the phone. They also asked for 400 Egyptian pounds as an insurance for each room which was also not mentioned plus they asked me to pay for a car parking which is a 7 minute walk outside the hotel premises again for an extra cost while I’m already a guest at the hotel. Manager was so rude and not cooperative at all and did not want to help us with anything. Then we checked the rooms that was suppose to have a nile view and one of them turned out to have an awful view with just a partial view of the Nile. The rooms are not as they show in the pictures. Over all I would give this experience a zero rating. Will never come back here or recommend this place to anybody.

I have never seen anything like this from Hilton. Firstly, their lobby is completely dysfunctional. Only one of their elevators worked and they have over 30 floors. When we arrived, we were told that our room was no longer available. We received no notice of this after traveling for over 48 hours to get here. The two women who worked at the lounge consistently ignored our wishes of receiving a king bedroom. Instead they insisted we get a twin room that was almost $100 more a night than our original booking. Outside of ignoring our wishes due to their discriminatory behavior, they just had poor customer service and were extremely rude.Aside from all of this, I’m not sure how this is considered anywhere near a 4 or 5 star hotel. With the elevators broken, we had to take the steps from the 29TH FLOOR. Going down the steps, there were cigarette buds EVERYWHERE. The people working at the reception desks and valet desks were wearing no masks whatsoever. If you are looking for luxury or anything remotely nice, take your money and dignity elsewhere.

Great hotel in centre of Cairo and ticks the right boxes - clean, fast WiFi, helpful staff, plenty of breakfast choice, good rooms, restaurant choice. Waited 40 min at reception to hear they wouldn’t change me to another- Room is big, but looks more like a scene out of Saw 5. Check photos- There is no menu of room service on the room. You have to call, ask for the menu, wait 35min and then they bring the paper menu to you- After you order, food arrives fast but wrong.- Only half elevators work, so prepare yourself to fight for a place in the one elevator that comes in!- You need to enter internet credentials every time you open your phone- refrigerator does not work- Needless to say that they do not reinforce mask usage, with low number of sanitizer pointsOne good thing: BREAKFAST is awesome.

The good: the lobby is nice and the food we’ve tried on-site has been deliciousThe bad: this hotel is TIRED. The bathroom is not modern and has old mildew along the shower. The hotel hallways smell like smoke. Luckily our room only mildly smells like smoke, but as a non smoker it’s still too much. You have no control over the room temperature. The completely unacceptable: being only on the 6th floor in Cairo there is a constant sound of beeping horns from the street. Constant. Even when we went to bed at 10:30. So my husband and I put on my phones white noise app to the sound of an oscillating fan to cover that noise. At 4:50am I unapologetically received a call from the front desk. Apparently someone was walking by (??) and heard the noise and they assumed that we had forgotten to turn off the water and the man wanted me to get up and check. So now here I am writing a review instead of sleeping in after a long day of travel. The sound is nothing like running water - and now I know the walls are paper thin and people can hear my soft white noise from the hallway….Do yourself a favor and do not stay here.

I booked a Deluxe room and was upgraded to an Executive room with my Hilton gold membership. The service has been absolutely fantastic. When I checked in on the executive floor I asked to see a couple of the rooms before deciding which one we wanted for our stay and Fatima was super accommodating and did everything to please us. The room itself was one of the renovated rooms. I understand that rooms on the 25th and 26th floor are renovated (25th is a smoking floor). The Deluxe room is spacious and the view of the Nile and the city is incredible. The way the Nile view rooms are arranged means the sun shines through the patio doors in the afternoon and evening and its really pleasant to sit there on the sofa and soak in the evening sun. Breakfast is a little above average, but nothing amazing. The egg chef gets a special call out. The only down side is the lobby is too small for the size of the hotel and the lifts are a little old and loud, but these dont take away from the overall experience. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we are in Cairo.

First of all for me the hotel has to be given three and half star and not a five star hotel .1- The lobby was messy and people were smocking and no one is respecting the law as the staff did not warned the guests to not smoke2- The elevators were a death row not a hotel elevator . Also , it was like testing gravity by NASA the3- Lack of cleaning and I can see the dirt and rooms were smelling bad . The bathroom wasn’t clean after I gave the room service team to clean . The mattress weren’t clean too .4- I felt I was insecure when I saw the drunk people are awake and making noises around the rooms and place . Adding to that if they are talking about security, what security when some ghettos are standing on the exit of hotel or someone calls himself an agent broker of the hotel ? Also , in which manner they let others to go to rooms without having reservations?

It is a comfortable hotel with nice views, good restaurants and an awesome rooftop bar. However we did have a few issues.1. The location is not as convenient as I had hoped. It is on a very busy road and intersection under several overpasses which was not walking distance to anything that we saw. Getting Uber was OK but we didn’t feel incentive to walk around, even down to the river. But it is convenient to downtown by car so if you don’t plan on walking then the location is fine!2. The check in and check out process was unbelievably slow, somewhat unclear, and difficult even though the room was fully paid before we arrived. With little explanation we were asked to give a cash deposit of US$50 and only received a receipt upon request. We did get it back at checkout but the fact that only cash was accepted felt a bit off.The wifi was somewhat unreliable as well and we were disappointed with the breakfast options.Once checked in and on our own to come and go, we enjoyed our stay. The staff were helpful and kind and the room was very comfortable and clean. We also loved the view and dj on the rooftop bar!

They have started to renovate the hotel, beginning with the high floors. We stayed at 16th and 17th,on a corner suite(triple room)-the room is cleaned, but the furniture really celebrated its 20th. The bathrooms are quite new-modern walk-in shower and mirror.Elevators are a little scary-they open the doors before they reach the floor(10-15 cm delay).Breakfast is pretty good, but the maim restaurant has not enough tables for at least half guests at peak hours(e.g. 8 in the morning).Dinner is good, but it could have been better.❗If you drink/eat something from the cafés/bars in the lobby, just be aware that the final price would be much more than the one showed in the menu-on the price showed they add 10-15% service(tips) and other taxes(e.g. VAT).All in all,its a good and safe place for tranzit in Cairo.

The rooms at Ramses hilton were also not that great (the Nile river view is pretty amazing though) I had far better experiences at safir cairo and at Tahrir plaza suites in terms of hospitality - and these places were in fact far cheaper than Ramses hilton. The IT department was useless in re-setting the wifi once the max number of devices was reached. They were not aware of that and would continuously avoid coming to my room - one time I waited 10 hours then had to call again. The manager sent a trainee to my room to assess, he brought my last name and room number printed on a piece of paper to try to solve the problem. We all know how to connect to the wifi, but once the max number of devices is reached (no one at this hotel knew of that issue before) the wifi needs to be reset. since IT had no idea what to do, they just ignored the issue and I had to go to the executive lounge to do my work. The lobby of the hotel is always busy with what appears to be people loitering around. There is a bank in the hotel which is convenient but it may also lead to the excess number of people around.I am a Hilton Honors member and try to stay at Hilton whenever possible, but this one just does not meet the mark. Ramses Hilton is An Icon in Cairos SkylineThe PROS:Ramses Hilton is:-Great location. It is a hub for all activities in cairo and all Egypt as well._Utmost Hospitality because of its people from the bellmen all the way to upper management. The people of Hilton Ramses make you feel home.-Most of the personnel in this Iconic Hotel are proud to provide Mr Hiltons values.-More than the usual stay in RH, We stayed for 15days. we got to know the people and the people in the hotel knew us. My wife and I knew the People in RH by name. The House Keeping Man in our floor was Mr. Ahmed Hamed, He provided us daily a clean room, Mrs Mahasen Mokhtar The Laundry Manager and her team provided us our clean laundry promptly and Mr Sammy Abu El-Ezz helped us to book our trip cruise liner form Aswan to Luxor. Not to forget Mr Tantawi Moawad and his at the reception and his team helped us checking in and checking out very smoothly.- I booked this room with breakfast. My wife and I enjoyed our daily breakfast listening to great Piano music played by a talent pianist. The chefs and the waiters and waiters and the breakfast team knew me and knew my wife, there were 2 young busgirls ( Dahab & Ola) who provided us coffee before we aske for it. and a lot more it well take a lot of page. The most impressive in our trip are the people of Ramses Hilton.Cons:Nothing is 100% perfect-The Hotel needs TLC and to brought up to date.-The Noise is a little bit high but and can be lived with. It reminded me of Neil Diamond Song It is beautiful NoiseAt the end I would love to come back again to #RamsesHilton

Id give Hilton Ramses a zero-star review if I could, but I cant, so Ill go with 1.I was delayed in Cairo after missing my train back to Alexandria, and the Hilton Ramses was the closest hotel. And because it was the Hilton, I assured myself that it was a very prominent establishment that lived up to its reputation. Regrettably, I was mistaken. So, before I arrived, I booked a room online, and because it was after midnight, the computer automatically moved me to the next day (29th).I walked to the window and stood there for an hour before anyone helped me, not because the area was packed or busy, but because they were all trying to help this influence book a room and give her gifts for merely waiting for more than 5 minutes by the window. I then tell them about the reservation, and they tell me that were still on this date (the 28th), and that my reservation couldnt be cancelled online and it was non-refundable, so I just asked if I could reserve again, and they had me wait another hour or so before someone did their job.To conclude, the Hilton is one of the WORST places to stay at. You may stay in a dump instead of a Hilton ramses since youll be treated the same.

Old hotel, the lower floors are so ancient and dirty. The upper floor are newer, and cleaner. The elevators are always crowded and they are so old. Not recommended.

The cleanliness is very poor, unfortunately I booked it because I trust the prestigious Hilton as an old brand, but it is a harsh experience that I will not repeat and I would never recommend booking this hotel

I owe my exceptional choice of Ramses Hilton to Sherif Ghamry, the best Egyptologist guide in the country. He recommended Ramses Hilton as a possible top choice for my stay and he was 100% spot on, as he was with my entire visit which he curated and customized to my wish list. The hotel was just right for me in terms of location, beautiful interiors, a superior room, exceptional view, fabulous restaurants, and wonderful associates demonstrating classic Egyptian hospitality. I truly appreciate the Ramses Hilton and will stay here every time I visit Cairo. 10 Stars.
