Such a great authentic Egyptian BBQ restaurant. The flavors in the meat are smokey and the spices are just incredible. The side dishes were also spectacular as well. No doubt my favorite part was the Egyptian band playing traditional music as you are welcomed into the restaurant. I had bust a few moves!!

Average. Hardly a local experience as no local would ever come here to pay exorbitant (for the locals) prices to eat run-of-the-mill food. Make sure that you look at the menu and verify the prices before you order. Id recommend the kofta. The chicken, on the other hand, not so much. The tahini and garlic dip were very good as was the bread. Beer was expensive. The shady palm tree filled courtyard was the highlight of this very uninspiring , tourist oriented restaurant.

- big tourist trap / extremely overpriced. I don’t mind to pay a bit more or to give good tip for good service but this was over the top- the mixed grill menu was at 180 egp per person, a tea was 35 and a mint lemonade 40 egp, and the beer is sold at 100! Egp- food was ok, but not worth the price- in addition you are asked for additional tip for the waiters, for the guys playing ridiculously loud music at the entrance and the bathroom

We had lunch, our son and his parents. Lunch was served soon after we were seated. Nothing special, but okay. However, things got interesting indeed when I had to pay the bill. 1000 Egyptian pounds for a lunch that will normally cost you about 350. We told the management that this was a rediculous price, but we just received a polite smile and had to empty our wallets. A golden lessons, even for us being intrepid travellers, always ask for the menu and prices before putting your teeth in a dish.

Hungry for a local experience after a long sightseeing of tombs and pyramids? This is the place where you are welcomed by a band of musicians. You need to tip them to continue playing, however the food is good and prices are somewhat reasonable. Conveniently located just at the entrance to Saqqara necropolis

Food was good and fresh. Service was warm and friendly. They seem to speak a little English however our tour guide spoke with the servers in their negative language. The environment was nice with seating inside a tent w/walls, then just outside the tent with some covering and then completly outdoors.

Very very rustic ... especially when stray dogs meander near your table. Beautiful outdoor setting near ruins. Great food. Bread made by ladies sitting in dirt in old open face ovens. Receive musical welcome as if a victorious general returning from battle.

Very nice village side restaurant. Folk Instrument players, women making hot Rotis and grilled chicken corner welcome you at the entrance. Grilled chicken mixed with onion-cucumber- tomato salad and hot rotis is a great and tasty combo. Sitting area is clean and cool. Nice authentic Egyptian food. Pretty close to Saqara Noble Tombs.

The food was really good but the bill was a lot bigger than we were expecting. Since we didnt get a menu we didnt know how much each item was.Once we were done our server just wrote the price down. The total was 470 EGP (31 USD) which would have been fine if we understood what we were ordering at the time. Partly our fault for not asking. Its really close to the pyramid which is nice, and is probably where the price is from. I would recommend to anyone who goes but more transparency would have been appreciated. :)

Well, what can I say. After 5 hours of wandering around the graves and pyramids, I really wanted to eat, and this is the closest restaurant to the exit. The 4.1 rating and tolerable reviews also did their job. It is a pity that I did not get a grasp, as they say.Food - yes, really tasty. Not the best Ive had in Egypt, but good. Costs £150 off for a complete set.But the beer ... well, this is a complete star. Of course, I did not expect anything from local beer in terms of taste, but I expected that it would cost a little. As it turned out, I was specifically wrong. It cost me £125 a can. These ferrets do not specifically indicate it on the menu, so as not to spoil the surprise for tourists, apparently. To anyone who stumbles upon my review, I recommend eating elsewhere.

We had lunch at Pharous as part of our first day of tour in Cairo, after going to the pyramids, Memphis and Saqarah (around 4pm). We were received by three people playing music and right at the entrance you can see the barbecue where the meat comes from, and beside it, some women making bread. The food was very tasty and the atmosphere was simple.

An exaggerated gem !!! We were brought to this typical Egyptian restaurant by our guide. Nothing more particular! Its all very Egyptian, starting with the ladies who cook their bread outside, passing by those who cook the roast. We tasted their bread accompanied by aubergine cream, sesame cream, falafel and roast chicken and veal. All really delicious, and to think that when we arrived we were afraid !!!

Topical Egyptian food of quality. Great service and atmosphere typical of Egypt. The bread is exquisite and the taste of everything they do is very intense and good. A picturesque and very touristy place. The food is rich but the treatment could be improved by the staff. They take money from you for everything. As soon as you enter they sing and dance for you (to ask), if you go to the bathroom they also ask you, if you ask for tea and they tell you that they dont charge it, they end up doing it. They told us that they did not have large bottles of water (when around us we saw that all the tables had them) ... They tried to fool us everywhere. But in the end you end up assuming that the guide has led you there and there is no escape. The best thing is to enjoy the food, which I repeat, it is delicious and thats it. Bread for example, they make it homemade at the moment. And the worst thing about the place, never order Turkish coffee, it feels bad, very bad ... I dont want to give more details.
