According to the Law of Establishment No. 54 of 1964 and amended by Law No. 207 of 2017, the Administrative Control Authority is competent in the following:1. Research and investigate the causes of deficiencies in work and production and suggest ways to avoid them.2. Detecting the defects of the administrative, technical, and financial systems that impede the regular functioning of public agencies and suggesting ways to avoid them.3. Follow up the implementation of laws and ensure that the applicable decisions, regulations and regulations are adequate to achieve its purpose.4. Disclosure of administrative, financial and technical violations that occur from workers during the exercise of or due to their job duties.5. Detecting and controlling criminal crimes incurred by non-workers that aim to prejudice the integrity of the performance of job or public service duties.6. Examining complaints submitted by citizens about violating laws or neglecting the performance of job duties and proposals, as they see or feel with them, with a view to improving services, regularity of work, and speed of completion.7. Research and study of press complaints or investigations published by the press dealing with aspects of neglect, recklessness, mismanagement or exploitation, as well as what the various media outlets are exposed to in these areas.8. Provide the Prime Minister, Ministers, and Governors with any data, information, or studies they request from them.The terms of reference created by Law No. 207 of 2017:9- Detecting and controlling crimes that target obtaining or attempting to obtain any profit or benefit by exploiting the capacity of a debtor public official or one of public office holders in the civil authorities or the name of one of the civil bodies stipulated in Article (4) of this law,10- Crimes related to the regulation of foreign exchange operations stipulated by the law of the Central Bank and the banking system and the cash issued by Law No. 88 of 2003 in accordance with its provisions,11- The crimes stipulated in Law No. 5 of 2010 in regulating the transplantation of human organs,12- The crimes stipulated in Law No. 64 of 2010 regarding combating trafficking in human beings.13- Setting and following up the implementation of the national anti-corruption strategy in partnership with other concerned bodies and agencies in the country.14-Cooperation, coordination, and exchange of experiences, documents, and information with the supervisory bodies and agencies in the state and other agencies concerned with fighting corruption abroad.15-Spreading the values ​​of integrity and transparency, and working to raise social awareness of the dangers of corruption and ways of cooperation to prevent and combat it, and the Authority is working towards this in cooperation with all concerned authorities and civil society organizations.16-Follow-up on the results of international, regional and local indicators in the field of preventing and combating corruption, setting the necessary recommendations to avoid any negative results that resulted from these indicators, monitoring their implementation periodically and evaluating the performance of those responsible for their implementation.This is in addition to the following:1. Assist the governmental apparatus, public authorities, and the public business sector in investigating those occupying senior management positions and candidates for decorations and medals.2. Investigate cases of graft, in implementation of the law of graft, and based on what is decided by the investigation and investigation authorities in the management of graft.3. Investigate financial transactions suspected of involving money laundering in coordination and exchange of information with the Central Bank anti-money laundering unit.
