Here is my usual miserable experience at Egyptian Automotive, I booked an appointment for a regular service at 10 AM mid week, I arrived on time and and took a number and waited for my turn, i was just 4 numbers away, it took them 2 hours to call my number that was at 12 PM, anyways I checked in the car and headed to the waiting area which overlooks the garage, ironically it took them another 4 hours to literally change the oil and filter, I had no other services to be done, at 4:30 the employee gave me the invoice which was way higher than the previous visits (Oil filter increased almost 80% from last year etc.). I finally took my car and left the place, on the way home I was hearing a rattling sound coming from the front section, upon arrival I checked to discover that the skid plate was loose, 2 bolts were not fastened properly and the third was missing.The following is even more miserable, within weeks of buying my car, VW Golf 2016, I would occasionally be presented with an error message popping up while driving stating “Error: Workshop! Only leave vehicle in position P and it disappears after a couple of seconds, I asked them to fix this error first time I went there, they told me there is nothing faulty with the gear and the device reported no error codes, so I researched VW forums to find out that it is a known fault and there is a technical bulletin about this error, so VW Egypt should know about it, to fix this error message they should replace the DSG gear assembly.So it became a habit for me whenever I go for a service to ask if there is any solution for this annoying error message, i even took a picture of it, they replied either by playing dumb or by acknowledging the fault and advising me to ignore since it is not causing any harm.During my last visit I finally received a different answer for my usual inquiry, the employee told me they can fix it but it is going to cost me around 3500 EGP, I asked him why would I pay for it, he told me because the car is out of warranty!!My advice to you:If you are a miserable owner and booked for a service, just drop the car and leave since it will take them the whole day or may be more to service regardless the type of service required.After having it serviced check on the work done and make sure everything is in place and nothing is loose or missing, by the way don’t always adhere to their advice of changing parts, I changed the brake pads as per their advice to discover that it was in a good condition.If you are a lucky one and haven’t decided on your purchase yet, just think twice.

Despite the general bad reviews being posted it seems the agent is not bothered at all to enhance or change that perception .I have been trying to contact the sales in Abu Rawash since one month but no one is answering so I called the call center and complained so they provided a number which I was trying to call but switched off for more than 3 weeks .I filed an official complaint and been following up on a daily basis for the management to call but with no success. Even I requested the call center manager Omar to call me but it seems he is always out of duty or doesnt care to call to investigate the complaint. Actually its not his fault but the upper management who is ignorant to the simplest Customers demands .I have been promised that someone will.call but in vain .

Unprofessional people. They only care about the money you pay and not the actual service they perform. They try to get away from performing warranty work and make you pay for anything. Just avoid this place.

Overall, automotive maintenance is tricky in Egypt. Once you know your way through it becomes a good experinace but for som reason thats how service is in Egypt. However, you can say that they are the best I have experianced in terms of timeliness and service in Egypt.

Okay.. so I just had the worst experience in this place. I get that sometimes after sale services are always the worst in almost every dealership there’s in Egypt, but there’s no place that can beat this one!

The Service was very slow....was supposed to be done by 2pm (here since 10am on time) for a routine oil change and bluetooth mic check up and now it is 5 pm (mind you no one called me as they said would happen to update me) so Ive been here since 3 hours and in the end all they did was an oil change...Unprofessional, inefficient and clearly sub-par...VW should close this centeror at least train its employees instead of tarnishing its reputation like this.

People are very helpful and friendly, great place with a waiting area including a free drink and 4MB free wifi.Only downside is that the place is very expensive.

I had to leave without having a document to say that THEY are not equippedUpdate:The previous comment was for the 60000 km regular serviceI came 27 February 2018 after 4 months for the 60000 km service (although it shows 70000 on my kilometrage) and again they dont have the spare partsI will have to run 10000 km more without the necessary spare parts and I will be the only one taking this riskVery unprofessional company
Didnt want to do a normal warranty change, instead they wanted me to break the item and fix it through the insurance as if it was damaged by an accident. Volkswagen is not doing any follow up.

The place is beautiful and organized, and there are staff at the reception who will help if someone comes to Cairo and doesnt have an Arab, there will be an air-conditioned car, followed by the power of attorney to take it to the nearest parking lot or even to Dandy Mall for free, and there is a free drink for customers who deliver their cars, a nice thing.
A respectable company that adheres to delivery times, but the cost of periodic maintenance is exaggerated
