My heart skipped a beat when I entered the church. Every corner of it is a masterpiece. These pictures dont do justice to the beauty of this historical church. Seriously one of the most beautiful places Ive ever visited. If you are in downtown pass by and take a gander... You wont regret it 😉

Florentine-style roman Catholic Church. Built in 1909 by Italians. Beautiful interior with many small altars along the walls. The ceiling is also impressive. Striped exterior.

Pro-tip: They have a cafe inside that serves cheap pizza and beer. In the summer their courtyard makes a great private bar.Tell the guard you are going to the cafe and ask for the directions, he will point you down a little passageway that pops out into a courtyard usually full of tables.In the winter they move the cafe to a depressing blue room.

Beautiful church in downtown Cairo. Just a note, they no longer have English mass. The other St. Joseph on zamalek does, though.

This wonderful church is one of the great edifices of Downtown, and one of the most beautiful churches in Cairo.It is the Church of Saint Joseph, or Saint Joseph, of the Franciscan Order.The church was designed in 1909 by the Italian architect Aristideillionori (1856-1928). This architect was famous for designing sweepers and hospitals, and the implementing contractor was G. Garozzo and his sons.The state then donated the land to the Franciscan Order, while donations from the Catholic Church paid the construction costs.Location: 2 Bank Misr Street from Mohamed Farid, Downtown.
