Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) is an Emirati bank established on May 20, 1997 as a public shareholding company, on the basis of Emiri Decree No. 9 of 1997 issued by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. The Bank has started to provide a range of high-quality banking products and services, such as finance services and various bank account services since 11 Rajab 1419H (11 November 1998). The Bank was officially inaugurated under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and in the presence of Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, on April 18, 1999.
